This controller is pretty hassle free. No programming needed, it does everything itself. My kids play steam, Minecraft, fortnite, and Roblox. A few games on steam require a little adjusting but nothing like the old style controllers where everything had to be programed. It does run on regular batteries though and it has an on/off switch in the back. So far the cross platform abilities are pretty seamless, I haven't used it on android yet.

Device was a bit difficult to connect at first as my Fire tv did not recognize it. Controller is very similar to that of the XBOX series more so than the Playstation series - very bulky. Also worked with my Galaxy S7 Edge when connected to the Samsung VR. Buttons are adequately responsive but maybe not so much for true 'gamers.'

You get what you pay for and this works just fine for us. It was on closeout and now I know why. Feels hollow.

There are many controllers for Android and I did some research through Youtube videos. So, some controllers may not work well due to some ineffective buttons. However, this one is great with Samsung Gear VR. Also it is on the Oculus Gear page so the Oculus team (who made the Gear VR software) must have tested it.

I bought this specifically to play emulators on my android device and it works great for that! There is a SLIGHT input lag but that is the nature of having it be over bluetooth. It has good batter life and I have had no problems with it ever losing connection. I'll be sticking with steelseries for phone controllers.

This hooks up easily to my samsung s7 when bluetooth is on. We never have to make the connection, except for the initial setup, as it does it automatically when you turn it on.

I recently got a Gear VR headset. While it's great, I wanted to try bigger and better games. I researched several different brands. This Steelseries was always listed as the best for the headset. I finally purchased this and was amazed the moment I opened the box! Beautiful design and very comfortable to hold. Its also very easy to connect to my phone. I'm sorry I waited so long to purchase. Very very pleased with my purchase.

Works great with VR, battery seem to last ,easy to connect and automatically reconnects every time.

When I bought this controller it was great.. could use it on my tablet and pc to play games but an update on windows 10 made it unusable on my desktop.. It's still a great controller for tablets and phones though.

I've only played computer games, and haven't played one since Half Life. I got the Samsung VR and decided to get a controller. There's no user manual, but perhaps the more complicated games will say what the many controls do. Basic use so far is easier than tapping your skull to control the VR!

What a wonderfully built controller placing the joysticks where they should be in my opinion. I bought this controller very excitingly after debating between it and the Xbox One controller for my surface. I made the wrong choice Positives: 1) Build quality is superior to my old Elite Controller 2) The software after upgrading isn’t anything special but does the trick. 3) The sensitivity is amazing. Cons: 1) Firmware was OUT OF DATE out of the box. Cool, I’ll just plug it in and update it right? No micro usb cable included so I had to track one down. You have to them unpair the device, re pair it and then restart and do the same procedure all over again. 2) Will it stay connected? Maybe if you’re lucky. Mine kept disconnecting from my Surfacebook 2 which has no other issues with Bluetooth. 3) The software is so so, the customization options remind me of my elite controller but with slightly different options. There could be huge strides made here. 4) No haptic feeedback...this is the finishing move for me to return it to Best Buy. I can buy a $10 cheap Xbox One controller and have haptic feedback, why can’t my high end gaming controller? I’ll give it another go on a newer version release if they include haptic and fix the sketchy connection issues. (Please note that I’m a Sytems Archtiect so my skill in IT is far superior to many, so the connection issues aren’t on the user here...trust me).

Bought this to pair with my Galaxy S7 and use it with the Gear VR experience. Great control no lag.

I bought it to use with my Samsung Galaxy S6 & Samsung Gear VR. It works great. It doesn't work 100% with Gear VR games, but it should work with all Controller Required games. I've used it on Dreadhalls & Affected: The Manor. I haven't played the Full Version of Dreadhalls, yet. Affected: The Manor is probably the best horror game so far. I jumped like 5 times throughout the whole game. I love horror movies & games.

This is a great wireless option for PC and just about anything that uses Bluetooth. I use this mainly for my tablet but just started using it for PC. I would have given it 5 stars however it takes awhile sometimes to connect and is difficult to configure via steam

This controller will connect to almost anything with bluetooth and feels great!

Had been searching a long time for available controllers to use on my Gear Oculus in many places but at last found it. Best bluetooth controller for use on PC and Android products with no connection issues whatsoever. And in case you are unable to connect through bluetooth, you could always use your ultra common mobile usb charger.

Was looking for a BT controller for my Samsung VR ... this one did not disappoint ... I was a little concerned with the price, but I had a couple of gift cards from a bday ... so FREE made it easier to purchase ... SO FAR SO GREAT!!!!!! I have had not issues whatsoever ... responsive ... pairs quickly ... and the best have lasted a fairly long time! . At this time I feel I made a great purchase.

I got this Bluetooth controller to use with my VR headset. Works great, no issues.

I purchased this item for the Fire TV and am pleased with it. It works well and is easy to setup and connect. My only displeasure is tactile; it is rather light and therefore makes it feel cheap to me but this is just my perception as it still functions well
