I bough this game about two weeks ago and I must say that I am having a blast with it! This fighter is unsurprisingly deep and the characters are diverse and well balanced. The online is pretty good despite the match-making being a little off. The only knock against the game I would give is the lack of a story mode and any kind of off-line, single player experience. And, for as great the base-cast of fighters is, it still lacks the roster size compared to others of its genre. Overall, I say it's worth picking up.

This might be the best playing Street Fighter ever. They have changed some of the systems since 4. The problem is that a lot of content and modes will be coming in later updates for free. This is a full priced game but lacks a lot of the content you would expect from a fighting game, like an arcade mode. So I would recommend it, but you should know what you're getting before you pay your $60.

The gameplay mechanics in this game is the best in the street fighter series and the graphics make it that much better. The only reason I don't give this a 5 is due to no true story mode to unlock characters. Also, bison has always been one of my favorite characters and he's great in this game but I wish he had psycho crusher as a normal attack. Otherwise the game is great, I love the v system. I think the gameplay is better than street fighter 4, they should've just added story mode.

The game was definitely not fully developed...capcom is promising free updates in the months to come in order to enhance the overall experience such as story line and online patches...you get kicked off frequently i honestly stopped playing as much as i wanted to because it gets incessant...overall street fighter is pretty awesome for the entertainment of playing with friends and family but they need an arcade mode and even a tournament mode as the super nintendo version used to have

Street Fighter V is a great game, some well designed new characters and stages, brings back some old favorites like Birdie and Rainbow Mika. The new V-Trigger mechanic is refreshing and the online is much improved since launch. Still their are only 16 characters to start with, arcade mode is short, and the true story mode doesn't come out until June. New characters will come out over time but can be purchased with in-game fight money. A year from now this will be a 5 star game.

Did like the new addition to the street fighter series as well as it new combat the only thing is I feel that it's straying more to competitive and online play. The stories for each character's are too short & lack of a arcade mode and on release there wasn't too much characters to choose from but later on they plan on releasing extra fighters through patches. I don't buy fighting games to play online period.

I'm kinda torn because I really like SFV and I'm having a ton of fun playing it, but If a friend was to ask me if it was worth buying right now I'd have to say no due to the lack of content in the game right now. If you're not a big fighting game fan, I'd say wait until March 29th when the extra modes and content are released.

Street Fighter 5 is a nice hi-def entry for the Street Fighter series, but it's fairly short and lacks many features. Were there an arcade mode, I would rate this above average. I would wait until they update the game with more content and judge it then. Otherwise, it's nice to spend spare time on.

People are loving to hate on this game. However, the mechanics of the game are perfect, and the connection issues online have all been fixed. Not too mention, all DLC content can be downloaded for free with in game fight money you earn just from playing the game. This game is not complete, I agree. But I've been having a blast with it ranking up online learning Ken and Karin in particular and can't wait for all the free content to come out. I even have fun playing when I'm getting my butt kicked online against great players because that's just a way to learn how to get better. Don't listen to the salty haters on this one!

Fighting mechanics are solid. Characters and graphics look better than ever. Lacking story, tutorial, standard arcade mode, character customization, and other features that have been become the baseline of newer fighting games like MKX. Wait to purchase until price drops or the game gets more content patched in. Not enough meat on the bone for 60 dollars.

Its honestly a very good fighting game with complexity that will keep you playing for thousands of hours, especially when you're participating in tournaments. However, lack of common features like an arcade mode and the network problems ultimately let me down. It is promised to get better over time though, and free dlc always helps.

This is the fifth installment of what is arguably the best fighting game franchise. SFV is excellent, the controls are tight, a bit simplified compared to SFIV but that's not necessarily a bad thing as the game is still very solid and the gameplay is deep. It's a bit light on characters, but there are more coming this year a'la Killer Instinct and there aren't many modes since the game had to be out in time for competition, but if you're about the fight the solid online experience or local play is all you need, especially if you have a robust fgc community around you.

Let me start off by saying I love this series, but it seems Capcom saw it fit to release the game unfinished. It's not broken or anything (at least not after the horror that was Day 1), but it's missing a lot of features that could have made it excellent instead of just "good enough". No arcade mode (the biggest WTF), no multi-player lobbies with more than 2 players, a character story mode that isn't even finished at release (and only three to four incredibly easy fights for each character to boot). I would gripe more, but since Capcom has promised that everything mentioned will be updated later in the year, I can't say I wasn't warned. They're promising a lot and more than I mentioned, including a bigger story mode, different from the character story modes, and the ability to purchase DLC characters and other things with in-game fight money that you get while playing normally. Seems to good to be true, but as of right now, I can't really recommend this if you're looking for a single-player/casual experience. Wait a year or so, since they also mention that all upgrades/expansions are free.

This game looks fantastic and feels great. It's a very good Street Fighter game. I'll admit and agree with others that the story mode is very lacking and no arcade mode is ridiculous. However, the online matchmaking is wonderful, and the ability to hang out in the training room in between matches is smart.

the overall game mechanics is top notch, but was clearly rushed. If you don't like playing this game online vs real opponents this is not the fighting game for you at its current state. More modes and overall content is coming though!

I pretty much got this game for nostalgic purposes. The artwork is real awesome but I prefer the "Oni Watermark" style of SFIV than this pseudo-pixelated art style. Sound, voices and sound effects are cool. This game looks totally incomplete from Day 1. Problem is they should have put in the classic arcade mode and less emphasis on online play. They also left out all the cooler characters like Akuma, Gouken and Sagat. Most of the new characters are really 1 dimensional. If they wanted to use corny characters, they should have left in Dan. I just don't understand that I'm going to have to probably cough up extra cash to get characters that should already be in game and start off with a small set of medicore characters. Capcom really needs to get out of the pay-to-play mentality

Bought it to play with nieces and nephews. Didn't realize you had to earn characters through online play or buy the character packs and not through story mode. Unpleasantly surprised. Kids played for a bit then stopped. Will probably go through it when i have some time.

Let me start off by saying that the actual fighting in Street Fighter V is some of the best I've enjoyed in a fighting game PERIOD. However, the serious lack of content, especially on the single player side, severely impacted my enjoyment. There is no arcade mode, VS CPU, or even trials to speak of. While there is a "story" mode consisting of 2-3 fights and a survival mode, the opportunities to practice are limited. This makes trying to learn new characters more of a hassle than it should be. The soundtrack overall is a nice listen and the graphics are amazing. In the state that the game is currently in, I couldn't wholeheartedly recommend it. But the promise of more modes/content coming in March and July will push me to recommend it only to those aware of the game's shortcoming.

The core fighting mechanics of this game is excellent, but upon loading up the game you will shortly realize how lacking the tittle is. As it's sold the game is very bare bones. Capcom promises free updates in the future (with additional features)but I am still waiting on that.
