a lot of the complaints were because there was no PLAYER vs the CPU and the story mode isn't out yet. if you buy the game, you will be able to download it for free in a couple of months . those were the big complaints this is also the only game where dlc can be earned for free. you can either buy it or earn it through fight money you earn by winning matches online (it may take a while) but it's still nice to have the option to grind/hustle for free dlc i wasn't big on the character selection . besides the originals and mika and a few others i didn't like a lot of the newer characters.

Very tight gameplay and superb graphics. Lacking in game modes. Feels a little incomplete, but the addictive gameplay somewhat makes up for its shortcomings.

I've enjoyed the Street Fighter series since I was in high school in 1992. I had played SF IV before this and loved it. Heck, I even had the two versions of SF III on SEGA Dreamcast. So it was a no brainer that I pick this up for my PS4 on release day. So when I started to play this imagine my surprise when I discovered a half-finished game. There is no arcade mode and the story mode is bare bones. Now I understand that this month there is supposed to be a major update to the story mode but still…no arcade. Furthermore I understand you can still play the rounds with folks from around the world online. This does not interest me. Nor a few of my friends that also purchased it. Anyway over all there is promise but I'd wait until the summer or at least fall when the major updates have rolled out. Hopefully Capcom won't feel pressured to release a half-baked game in the future.

Was a bit disappointed at the lack of content. However, the gameplay itself is fine. Graphics are superb. That's all that I can say for now anyway.

the gameplay is awesome but it lacks a story mode and the story mode is short and there is no animation.. just artwork. hope they change it all and actually add a story mode. the other thing is that we need more street fighter characters. i hate the fact that they always leave a lot characters out. wish they would included all the older ones and just added new ones.

The core gameplay of Street Fighter V is outstanding. Nothing bad can be said about it. On the other hand, the content present is absolutely minimum. It comes with Multiplayer, single player for 3-4 fights on each fighter (takes 2hrs to complete). It also has Survival which can be absolutely frustrating and no fun at all. Therefore, I can only recommend this game if it comes at a cheaper price than the $50-60 it is at the moment.

I was let down by the release of this game. A beautifully rendered game, but it is certainly incomplete at this time (March 5, 2016). Most fighting games release with a small initial roster of characters and add over time. The same can be said about Street Fighter V. Where I was disappointed is the game itself was released in almost a similar fashion. The included "story" mode for each character is a generic short story where you fight through 2 or 3 fighters, each only 1 round. You're rewarded with a new costume, but you can't even make use of your newly earned costume until the online store is made available sometime in March. Playing online is a chore because you are locked in to a favorite character that you will use for every fight unless you go back and change the character before you begin a new fight. The only other mode available that is worth playing at the time is Survivor. In this mode you run through a continuous loop of the introduced characters until you beat the predetermined limit. You reward is new color scheme for you character which is given depending on the difficulty level beat. I was hoping for a more complete experience with Street Fighter V, but I didn't get that, instead I got a release similar to the way that Killer Instinct was released on XBOX One. A very bare bones game that I am disappointed with, not to mention that the "real" story mode won't be available until the summer. If you're looking for a good Street Fighter experience, your best bet is to wait until the summer or when they release whatever souped up version they release within the next year or two.

The game is fun but the story mode doesn't come out until this summer, so you're pretty much paying for a game that is half done.

Street Fighter continues to be great and has not stalled. This game starts with quality but will keep adding more at no more cost other than playing time, which is the whole point in the first place! Gameplay wise: Perfect, everything moves along with exact precision. Content: Short in comparisson to other games in the market however, more is added consistenly and its part of Capcom's promise on it. Fun level: Perfect, Couch co-op is what I look for and it has it in spades. Online figthing is where some may have complaints, but seems just fine give some dlc and time. Must buy, period.

I love this game! My girlfriend and I were both kids when Street Fighter 2 came out, and we have a blast playing this game everyday. The PS4 makes every character come alive. The only thing I don't like about this game is that not all of the past characters are in the game, and you have to pay to get several unlocked.

Let me start by saying you should only buy this game if you are a fan of Street Fighter or fighting games in general. The one thing you need with this game is PATIENCE as Capcom is still releasing new characters and modes with it. If you could afford to wait for either a discount or an edition that comes loaded with everything already to save you time, I highly recommend doing that. However, if you love SF then there's no reason to wait as the game is fun and multiplayer is great.

If you're a Street Fighter fanatic this is a no-brainer. It's an excellent fighting game. However, it's a shell of a complete game and should be half the price. If you're not playing online, you'll be bored rather quickly. There's a quick offline story mode (VERY quick - every character has a few single round matches and that's it) and a survival mode (again only 1 round matches) and that's it. Needs a LOT more content to be complete. Still, for fighting fans, worth a look.

Was extremely excited to play Street Fighter V on next gen console but was a little disappointed with the lack of modes. There doesn’t even seem to be the classic Two Round win mode, which every fighting game in history has had. I read that there are supposed to be supplemental features but why not have them when the game launches? The game graphics do look great.

The new street fighter is either love or hate, there is no in between. A lot of veterans are saying it is too easy, I say it actually a welcome change. Gone are the days of gazillion hit instawin combos and now battles are won by multiple 2-3 hit quick combos. If you are new to SF, this is for you. I removed a star due to the Story mode, it was like it was tacked on without any thought. Story mode is like 3-4 battles and you are done.

Street fighter is a good game, it would well deserved a 5 star when all the update is available for the game, I hope they add the arcade mode option as well as a training mode. It has one of the best game mechanics available for a next generation fighting game as well as graphics. I think is was release early for the 2016 EVO fighting game tournament held in July @ Las Vegas . Hopefully more updates will be available latter on.

I love the game. It is an overall solid old school fighting game. The graphics and stages look awesonme, they could use some polish around the edges but it's still great. The story mode is very poor with no clear bad guy. But at the end of the day It is a game to play with friends hours on end just having a blast. I wish the online was better setup because there is no group lobbies and the ranked and causal matches are way off. Nothing worse than playing a ranked game and the guy you fight is Way better. All and all, it is Street fighter and it will always be a solid buy. A good thing is that unlike other fighting games the moves are kinda the same for all so any beginner can pick it up easily.
