Love the show! Always a great watch. Can’t get sick of this show

This show is a great action/adventure show. I discovered it on Cinemax a few years back and was taken by surprise how good it was. The story moves along at a pace that does'nt let you get bored. If you like shows with fast paced story lines and action this show is for you. I also own season 1 and it is awesome also. I am looking forward for season 3 to come out on blu-ray because it will be a purchase also,( Already saw season 3 on Cinemax and it was just as good if not better than seasons 1 and 2) . I highly recommend this box set and seasons 1 and 3( when it comes out). It stars Sullivan Stapleton who stars in 300 Rise of an empire, and Phillip Winchester ( sorry not familiar with anything else he's done) and the chemistry between the two is great .

I became a big fan of Strike Back during its first season & I think the second season is even better. The 2nd season features Section 20 trying to recover nuclear triggers in Africa before they fall into the wrong hands. The action scenes & locations are directed & look just as stunning as some big blockbuster movies. Without going into spoilers, Section 20 will suffer a big loss that really surprised me. Strike Back is a Cinemax show so there is no holding back on the violence, swearing, and nudity. There is also solid writing to back it up (Winchester’s Stonebridge character suffers a lot of personal loss). It's not for the easily offended. It feels like a hard R-rated action movie strecthed out over ten 50-minute episodes. Philip Winchester & Sullivan Stapleton have great chemistry as the two alpha males of the unit & Rhona Mitra (Underworld Rise of the Lycans) was a good addition to the cast. The special features only consist of cast commentaries. There are some interesting stories about some close calls during the action scenes & all the problems of shooting in some locations. I liked the commentaries but I just wished there was some behind the scenes extras in there. Oh well. With 24 gone, Strike Back has become my favorite action show.

This is an excellent series from England that is shown here on Cinemax. I had never seen any of the seasons but took a chance and purchased all 3 seasons available. Each season concentrates on a single terror threat, with multiple storylines converging to an exceptional climax. Well written long form action. High production values and a sensational casting. Strike Back Season 2 delivers on all fronts. As an added bonus Rhona Mitra is added to the cast as the head of the team.

Section 20 is back at it with two of the deadliest terrorist hunters on point. A squad size unit with the full backing of the British Gov't...well most of it anyway...travelling around the world in their quest to save humanity from those intent on creating mass destruction of life and property. Full blown excitement that blends the human spirit with the cold blooded tactics of warriors. Never a dull moment and no guarantees on who will return next season!

for years this show was on cinemax and I never had the time to watch it. I finally watched the first season on demand and fell in love immediately with this series. excellent production values, great locales and action, and fun lead characters. based on the the ryan books of the same name, its author and it creator served on the SAS and was a hero during the Gulf War.....love this series! went out to buy all four seasons.

A lot of good shows seem to struggle with their second season, but that is no problem here. Another good story, solid acting, and an almost James Bond-ish trailed to exotic locales, not that all the locations are touristy beautiful, but it's leaps and bounds beyond some US tv shows with California mountains standing in for everywhere. It's not neccessary to have seen season one, but it will help you understand the main characters better.

Everything I said about the first season applies to this one. This show is just exceptional in its execution. Each episode plays more like a movie than a 1 hour series. The 2 lead actors bring such gravitas to their roles, as do the supporting cast. The stakes are real, the world they operate in is too, and so is the danger they face. I can't say enough about how good this show is....!!!!!!

There's an economy to the action that lends itself well to the multi-episode arcs established in the first season. It doesn't fall into the trap of ”24” where the story is stretched to the point of restless boredom. If you were a fan of "The Unit" then this show is for you.

I was holding off on buying this until I could pick it up for under $20 bucks and I'm glad that I finally did. I like it better than Season 1. for fans of the show, seek out the Season released in the UK before it srated on Cinemax. Season 2 is really Season 3.

I enjoy this series on TV and like to re-watch episodes. Its full of action and quick moving plot twists. I'm a collector of movies and TV shows on DVDs and I have a library full of movies. It's loaded with nudity and so probably not for the squeamish.

This series has taken off in Seasons 2 and 3, with our two man team of heroes taking on and defeating larger forces. The action scenes are tight and the pace is taut. The writers have no problem killing off characters.

The main characters have a comedial friendship. If you are a fan of special ops or military show this is for you. As always I caution that it is for entertainment purposes as most people in the field laugh at times.

This is my fav season thus far very entertaining and the action is superb.

Season 2 or 3 depending on how you look at it adds the sultry Rhona Mitra as the new unstable head of the section. More action and suspense. Great Blu Ray.

This show while a little over the top is a great action series. This is a show from Cinemax so the some of the scenes can be a bit gratuitous. The action scenes seem very authentic. The show also looks and sounds great on Blu-ray with the episodes spread out on 4 BDs there is very little in terms of compression.

Great series...Drama, Action, Espionage and Explosions. Stonebridge and Scott go across several contain continents. Terrorists worldwide should be wary of Section 20.

The show has lots of action. The plot evolves throught the season. The changing of countries and multiple character groups enhanced the film.

A somewhat gritty, but mostly realistic action and adventure series for season two continuing on from a successful season one. A few steamy scenes in the mix for good measure which are a little brief, but entertaining. The recipe works, but does make it a little predictable after a while.

Already owning Season 1 of Strike Back, I eagerly purchased Season 2. Started watching it 3 nights ago, and am losing sleep because its so good.
