originally owned the first suction cup go pro came out with. Had it on the outside of my car and it fell off, lost my go pro. This one has a heavy duty auction and hasn't came off at all. So far used it on my car and on a plane window, works great!

I bought the Vivitar 787HD package with all of the mounts (I wanted the camera for a dash cam) and tried using the suction cup with my GoPro. It worked fine on glass, but I couldn't get it to properly stick to paint of anywhere else on the car that I'd be comfortable with. The GoPro mount does a much better job of securing it, and makes me far less worried that it's going to fly off somewhere.

Great Section! I have this on the side of my boat and I have no problems with it falling off no matter what speed we’re doing or what the surf is like. Superior product!

Got a package of multiple mounts with my GoPro Hero 5 for Christmas. I was talking to someone at a car show and showed them my new toy and the mount. He immediately said "Do not use that outside of the car, because I made that mistake and lost my GoPro". Make sure you purchase the original mount if you want to use it outside of your car, it will hold on up to 150 MPH, which you will probably never drive a that speed unless you have your car on a track . Went that day and purchased it, the next day I took my Aventador out for a run and mounted this on the glass fins over my engine compartment and it held on like it was designed to. If you want to mount your GoPro outside of your car, make sure you get this mount. Cheap compared to the cost of a new GoPro.

I bought this mount for my Hero3 Silver Edition a few weeks ago and I've already used it several times without any problems. I've put it on a truck, boat, and even an airplane and have never had any issues. It allows for some sick shots!

This product is extremely sturdy, and the suction cup works great. I stuck it to the hood of my car and drove on an empty road going at least 50mph and hit all sorts of bumps. No worries about it coming loose.

No Better Suction Cup than from GoPro itself! I actually tested it out going almost 100mph and it actually stayed on! Also took some nice car rolling shots with the help with this thing!

Aside from the other mounts, selfie stick or other. This is the best mount to buy, don’t skimp on offbrands those don’t hold as tightly as the original gopro branded suction cup. I have even attached a dslr with no problem. It can handle the weight.

I previously purchased several other brands of suction cups for my Go Pro cameras. They didn’t work very well - lost suction and showed vibration in video. I finally spent the extra couple of bucks for the Go Pro brand. The suction cup is larger than the others, holds incredibly well (65 mph on the hood of a car - for more than 2 straight hours - yes, I tethered the camera just in case the suction cup popped loose. It never happened.) The video is stable with no vibration. I wish I had purchased the Go Pro suction cup a long time ago. Don’t waste your time and money on the cheap imitations. This is one product that works and is well worth the extra few dollars.

This suction cup mount is so strong! Just to give everyone an idea of how strong it is of you're concerned about it falling off, I was able to pull a dent out of my car with it, that's how strong it is! Highly recommend it!

If you're worried about the strength of this mount, don't be. Mount it to a clean surface and it will handle practically anything you throw at it.
It held my Hero 4+ sturdy through a 4-Hour road rally all over LA.

This works perfectly on glass (in/around the car) and to flat metal. No rattling, shaking or coming off once it's on...my GoPro is totally secure with the Suction Cup Mount.

Great for driving videos or timelaspses. Very stable and feels well built. It can be a bit fidgety for the first time trying to stick it to a surface but it will feel very solid when you get it right. I had it stuck to my windshield for 5 hours and was still totally suctioned on when I checked on it.
