This is a great movie! Very interesting to watch. Tom Hanks always does a good job!

It was a true movie, the captain of the .plane saved all the passages on his plane

Just bought a new 4K player and have been waiting to watch it. Movie is AWESOME.

I live in NJ just a few miles from the Hudson River and have flown out of Laguardia many times, so this was HUGE news when it happened. This was great moviemaking. Instead of the moving being a linear plot, you get to see different perspectives of the landing (maybe 3 or 4 times plus a couple of simulation attempts!) throughout the film to keep it VERY interesting every step of the way. In the final "live" version, the plume mist left behind after the water landing is breathtaking (in my opinion). I still cannot believe the wing tip didn't get caught by the water to send it into a death spiral. Apparently, what saved them was his banking upward to reduce the plane's velocity just before touchdown! It shows how his 40 years of skill, brains, and analysis saved all "155". If you love a great hero story, you don't want to miss this one. Also, Aaron Eckhardt does an amazing job as the serious yet lighthearted copilot (right down to the final punchline!).

"This is not a drill!" could have been an alternate tittle. The movie technically was excellent. Acting was superb from Tom Hanks to the last extra( an actor with no line is told to "look out" a window and "see" an airplane below eye level, and you see "Please God, not again. Not again.") The script and director help the audience understand a "15 minute miracle", and there were no real drills to prepare anyone for anything that happened. THERE ARE NO DRILLS for situations where there is no hope for survival, but you, the crew, will still be responsible for your passengers. And, there are no drills for pilots that are to be made scapegoats by the FAA because the airline, airplane manufactures, and insurance companies demand it. An exultant movie.

Great reenactment of the landing on the Hudson. Last half hour hit home!
