Sully is a real-life hero and I doubt that anyone would argue that point. But most of us were unaware of the heroics that went on behind the scenes when the FAA conducted an investigation into the crash and this movie does an excellent job of portraying these true events. To be fully appreciated and enjoyed, the preferable format for this movie would be Blu-ray.

A blueray disk is a blueray disk—not much to rate, so I will rate the movie. Good to see a good movie finally about a real hero and the humility of not taking full credit for his actions.This is a true superhero movie! The good thing was, there were no politics involved. In the moment nothing else mattered but to help everyone survive. great editing and effects.

I really enjoyed this movie. Even though it was a recent event, there was enough time passed that I had forgotten the details of the incident. And I liked learning more about Sully than I had ever known. The video and audio quality was top notch. Especially the audio - in my home theater it felt like you were in that cabin when it hit the water. Awesome.

Very well done depiction of a real life saving event which could have been a tragedy. The calmness, clear thinking and reactionary instinctive execution of Mr. Sully , his co-pilot and the crew were showcased while the film provided insight into the scrutiny and questioning of the investigative board.

I loved this film. First, it's very effectively-filmed. I have never seen a movie where I knew basically the entire story but felt engrossed throughout. I was tense physically but I knew the ending! Amazing how well this movie was made. The narrative is well-constructed and the actors' deliveries are pitch-perfect. I highly recommend this movie to anyone.

If you like Tom Hanks, you'll enjoy this. If you're a pilot, or know one, you NEED to see this. As a professional pilot myself, I can say this film speaks to what we go through when dealing with the feds and public when events like this happen. If you want some insight into that, and some insight into what it takes to fly professionally, watch this movie.

A true breath taking movie of Tom Hanks. A must have for any occasion. A movie that your family can watch again and again. If you are interested in commercial airliners and want to become a pilot, think again! It truly is amazing how some pilots know what to do when the moment occurs. A tremendous Thank You to Capt. Sully for the safety of each passenger!

We all know that things work out well in the end for passengers on the US Airways flight that landed on the Hudson River. But I was surprised how well this movie added suspense in spite of knowing how it turned out. I was also touched by just watching a replay of the whole drama and seeing the heroism of so many who made sure nobody died that day.

This movie is exceptionally well-crafted by the director, his casting choices and the marvelous cinematography made for a view that was extremely satisfying and emotionally appealing. The director caught the essence of every scene thus its’ view was both pleasurable and passionate. You will want to revisit this remarkably realistic his film often.

Although this was not in stock, I was given a few options on how to get it. I took the option to drive immediately to another location and it was waiting at the Customer Service Counter when I arrived. The only complaint is that when they put it in my car all kinds of dirt and dust was left on my leather/suede seats and even a few scuffs.

An excellent recounting of the heroic and smart action by the flight crew that landed a jet plane in the Hudson River after birds flew into the engines, shutting them down. Tom Hanks portrays Captain Chesley Sullivan in a convincing fashion and, in so doing, lets the story tell itself. A must-see for any American in need of inspiration.

I think this was a superb movie/drama about two pilots who made difficult choices and did the nearly impossible to save everyone on the plane, yet were severely criticized for not following protocols that would have ended in disaster. Before I saw the movie I never realized the harsh treatment the review board put these Hero's through.

"Sully" recounts a heroic event witch is probably a first in passenger aviation history! Chesley Sullenberger did something that no other pilot has ever done. He successfully landed a land-based aircraft on the water with no loss of life, and minimal injuries. This movie is a great story, and a GREAT tribute to the pilot in command!!!!

Tom Hanks does a great job of bringing Sully to life. The thing is that this is a true story and very accurate in its depiction of the events of the water landing of this aircraft. It also does a good job of showing behind the scenes of a plane investigation. The acting is very well done by everyone and it is truly a remarkable story.

We loved "Sully". Great movie. We are the type to watch movies more than once if we like them. I understand some folks just watch a movie once then they are done. I can see how this movie might be one to just watch once. But for us we've already watched it twice. and will continue to watch it. Nice clean movie. Great acting by all.

If you love Tom Hanks, this is a great movie! Based on a true story as well. It is a very in depth story of what happened on this flight. It is not an action thriller as his other movies. It has a great story so you just have to stick with it. Watch the ending and do not turn it off as they have some tidbits with Captain Sully.

Generally I hate when movies are "based on a true story" but I heard about this one from my uncle who just raved about it last fall. I got it on sale and it would have been worth paying the full price. It's fascinating to see how much Sully had to go through after the actual crash. For once we have a hero who is fully legit.

This movie filled in all the information that wasn't conveyed during the actual event. I found this to be very revealing to all the "behind the scenes" events that took place. Very informative and entertaining. I highly recommend this movie, especially if you were around to know the events. Also, Tom Hanks did a wonderful job!

Both the film and the story behind the film were outstanding. Tom Hanks gave a powerful and realistic portrayal of the real Sully and the events around this incident. The clips from the actual pilot showed him to be an outstanding human being (and pilot), in addition to being able to show his character very well on film.

I vaulted this movie to the top of my favorite movies of the last 10 years. I am a major Tom Hanks fan and he certainly did not let me down. The story line was great but then again, it was an actual event that took place. I cannot tell you that there was anything that I would change. Highly entertaining and well acted.
