Features and build quality for the price are good, BUT, the feet are not the swivelling, self-leveling type. The Chinese manufacturer built it with the wrong non-self-leveling feet. For $7, I can live with that flaw.

I was looking for a cheap tripod for use on christmas day. That is what I got. I dont do much videoing except birthdays and christmas. This work ok once I got the shaft back connected to the camera holder base. I guess I could bring it back but its working now. If your use is minimal its ok. If you are planning on taking this on a trip, DONT buy it.

I want to make something very clear!!! This tripod is for digital, video, film cameras only!!! I did not know, so I bought it for my Canon t3i. I'm proud to say that it holds the camera when the camera has its 35mm lens. When the camera has its 75mm lens, the tripod barely holds it. The tripod has a 3.3 pounds capacity, and I measured in tha camera with each lens separately and they both weight around 2 pounds. I can not complain about the tripod bc to me it is pretty sturdy. I love the fact that it's small but extends to be pretty tall around my height (I am 5'5). The tripod is 52" to be exact. You can rotate your camera with this tripod at pretty much an angle; tightening and loosing it's nods to secure its place. Happy with this product. I have had it for 2 months now, and it hasn't broken.

For starters, I got this tripod only because I can't currently afford a more sturdy and dependable version. That being said, I am very impressed with the purchase. I spent LOADS of time searching for the perfect practically free tripod when I arrived at this model. Others in this price range had a plethora of reviews citing their lack of stability, durability, dependability and general quality. This one seemed to have the most favorable reviews so I bought it along with my Nikon D3200 DSLR.
I love it! Just like my camera, you can make the best of this great product and only realize its 'faults' when another product offers an additional feature. It's sturdy, easy to carry around, very convenient and works well.
I love the quick release plate and leave the attachment attached to the bottom of my camera to just snap in place when needed. I haven't yet had a problem with it being about to fall over- very sturdy. I'm having a bit of trouble #being new to regularly using a tripod# with adjusting the levers in three planes to get to perfectly level- definitely looking forward to getting a ball-head tripod next. for this reason. Also I'd love for it to be a bit taller, but, again, that feature was out of my price range.
I highly recommend this model #same price here as it was in the other store where I bought it- sorry, Best Buy, but I'll definitely buy from you the next time... lost the quick release plate when I lent my camera to a friend so I'll be in to buy this!... btw this is a disappointing fact- you can lose the quick release plate and it's hard to find the plate without the rest of the tripod- think I may just buy the whole thing again for this reason!... at Best Buy, of course ;# )

I am using this tripod for transfering Super 8mm film to DVD's in order to hold the camcorder copying from projector. This tripod offers incredible versatility to being able to adjust your camera exactly where you want to position it.
