This is the second tripod like this I've bought. They are lightweight, but sturdy enough for my largest cameral They're tall enough and easily adjustable.

This tripod is a great value. It is sturdy, has great height adjustments, and a removable shoe for your camera. Last year, I bought a tripod to hold my cellphone. It cost just a few dollars less than the Sunpack, but the Sunpack is far better. If you have an occasional need for a tripod, this Sunpack will be more than sufficient.

Very great price and quality. You probably don’t need one unless you take a lot of pictures. Only giving it 4 stars because the box came completely messed up and ripped, thankfully nothing wrong with the actual product.

Project is light and works well. The rotating handle is a little difficult to turn. The unit holds position well once legs are extended.

Any Sunpak item or tripod, I believe, is good quality and great price range for anyone starting out or just needing that one little extra, cheap equipment. The PlatinumPlus 5858D is an amazing build and lightweight tripod. This is my second tripod bought, only because my first was broken by another person after lending it to them. I love it. I take it everywhere. Either hook it to the side of my bag or carry it by hand. Pros - Lightweight. Great Height for most standing shots. Easy Quick-Release. Nice rubber footing to keep sturdy. Cons - Lightweight (haha sounds weird to be pro & con, but due to how light it is, being in high wind areas is a gamble. also any heavy lens like 250mm or above is a lot of weight for it to handle so slightly shakey after handling). Doesnt have weight hook to hang say camera bag or anything to weigh it down which is back to 'lightweight'. Also the lack of minimum height is a minus to me. cannot use it to get sturdy low wide angle shot, so say a gopro or ultra wide-angle lens and/or fisheye lens. Those are just some minuses to me that would make it more versitile. But like I said, for the price it does what it needs to do and gets the job done. I use it for everything. Even mounting steady lights. Have been using this specific one for 2 years

Lite weight, stable, adjustable tripod. The pan/tilt "head" is easy to adjust and the tension adjustments are accessible. The camera mounting plate is easily removable making breakdown/assembly quick & easy. The tripod is stable and each leg is independently adjustable, quick release "clips". The "bubble" levels are also helpful. This tripod may not be suitable for longer/heavier telephoto lenses.

I like this tripod. It is nice and sturdy and comes with all the bells and whistles! It has a level and is fully adjustable. The feet seem to have a good grip to prevent slipping. It is lightweight and easy to transport my only wish is that it came with a carrying case but the fact it comes with the smartphone attachment makes up for that. Great tripod for a great price!

Element due to the pandemic I have not had an opportunity to use this tripod very much but the few times I have I was really impressed. It was a good price. I chose it because Sunpak has been around for a very long time for providing quality photographic accessories. The unit is very sturdy and easy to use.

I got this tripod with the Black Friday bundle for the Nikon camera, and I absolutely love it. It’s very light and compact for travel but also good quality and sturdy. I used the tripod to film a school project and had no issues with it. It was easy to attach my camera and navigate its direction while filming. A great addition.

For the price point I am quite happy with this tripod. The articulation options are great. It collapses to a very manageable size and is quick to set up and break down. What keeps it from a 5/5 is that the center slider tends to slide right off the pole when setting up. There is no bracket or stopper to keep it in place.

I have used several tripods over the years and this one is one of the most stable trips I have used. While it is not made of carbon, it's lightweight collapsible structure makes it fairly easy to stick in a 22" travelbag for plane trips. Used with a Nikon D5200, battery-pack grip, and Nikon SB-700. A definite buy for under $30.
