Lightweight, but not flimsy. Gets the job done but for professional use I'd recommend something a bit more heavy duty. I don't know how long this would last with heavy use.

This tripod is seriously AWESOME for the price. I never realized how flimsy my old one was until I used this one. It held my Canon T6 with a 50mm on it with no issues whatsoever, and I was able to angle the camera anyway I wanted and it would hold so firmly. Would buy again no doubt!!

    Great Tripod for Beginners

I used my Nikon Powershot with this tripod and loved it. I only need it to hold the camera steady so i can record some video and it did the job. I went very high, had many angles i could adjust so i could get the right picture and it held them during hours of recording. The legs are very thin when extended out, but if your using it on steady flooring and not outside in the wind or anything i think its perfect for the price and quality. I also own a Canon Rebel T6 DSLR. I don't know if i would want to use this tripod on the DSLR I'd want to buy a more sturdy feeling tripod due to the equipment loss if it were to fall, but i may need to use it one day and will update review if it holds up nicely.

I just wanted a simple, inexpensive tripod to use when taking photos and making videos of my little one's cello concerts. The legs extend to the perfect height (and would even extend farther, if needed), it's stable and relatively lightweight. I don't plan on lugging it through Disney World or anything like that so even though it would be nice if it was lighter, this inexpensive tripod meets all of our needs.

This tripod is pretty decent for the price. It works for me because I use it for my cell phone. I would recommend it for cell phone but I am not that much confident about using it for my DSLR.

It seems to be a nice, lightweight tripod. I purchased because I needed something to hold 6 pounds and wanted the pan and tilt head) (DSLR Camera and longer lens) once it took it out and looked at it I would not trust my equipment to this even though it is rated for 8 pounds. I would however use it for a phone or GoPro. Not sure if it is missing part of the GoPro adapter or not. All in all for the price, it is a good little tripod.

Terrible quality pass on this tripod

I've bought and used cheap Dynex(another Best Buy brand) tripods from Best Buy before and they have been fine for the amount paid. I actually even have them still 7 years later. I decided to get this Platinum Plus one to take backpacking because it was so lightweight. I've used it a couple of times and it is not even worth the amount I paid for it. It is terrible quality and the legs bow when fully extended. i would never be able to step away from my camera because the slightest wind would probably knock it over. Spend a little more and get the Manfrotto tripod or any other tripod. It's worth spending a little more to make sure you have a reliable tripod, even if it is just for occasional use.

This tripod is really a great little tripod... light weight, easy to set up and is really sturdy. I have had other tripods and paid many times more for them and this Subpak shines above most of those. The real WOW was the price I paid. Keep up the good work Best Buy!!!!!

Would not have looked at this tripod if it wasn't in the bundle we got when we bought our camera but this thing is awesome! It is very lite, compact, but then extends out to a great height and is sturdy.

This seems to be a sturdy, but lightweight, tripod. The legs extend easily and lock with cams. The iPhone clamp holds my 14 Plus iPhone securely.

I bought this product off a Best Buy associates recommendation and he said that it is the one he uses all the time I needed it for small online videos just to have a stable set up so far it has worked great and has exceeded expectations great product for a great price!

As an owner of a Sunpak 5800D, I read reviews of the 5858D and saw Best Buy's amazing $14/each deal for them. I grabbed 4, and I'm happy I did! Easy to use and good build quality. The reason it's not a 5-star is because I expected this to be at least as solid as the 5800D, being both from the same "series"/line and a higher number, but I found the 5800D to be substantially more solid. Both are sturdy for most podcast/prosumer applications, so I still recommend it - but that was disappointing. 5800Ds go for about $10-$20 used (minus shipping), so if you see a deal for the 5858D that beats that, take it. I did, and I'm happy with my purchase.

Take this light weight, easy to store, and secure tripod on your day hikes like I do. I've used it on 6 hikes and been thankful ALL 6 times. It provided me stability and security on the first trip and I've used it ever since. Its also been steadier than my sweaty shaking hands.

This is a great tripod! It is SUPER light but really sturdy and it is very easy to use. It even has a leveler for guaranteeing a level shot. The extendable legs are rubber-bottomed and set up is quick and simple. Make sure you retrieve the small, bagged additional parts at the bottom of the box!

Great portable, compact and inexpensive tripod for a photographer who needs a quick fixed mounting option for their camera or smart phone. Set up is easy and it requires minimum space to store. I can carry it comfortably in my back pack or sling it over my shoulder for easy access. I recommend it as a start up tripod for the beginning photographer.
