This is a light weight tripod, but it is pretty stable. It worked well for me on a trip to the Grand Canyon.

Got this on Black Friday sale for a third of the original price. As it was discounted, I expected it to be cheap quality, but turns out it is great for ocasional use, for photography amateurs or just to have a spare tripod.
As I planned to use this with my samsung galaxy, I bought a smartphone mount for it separately, just to find it already includes one, so it is a big plus.

I originally purchased the Sunpak 5400 DLX tripod. I was very disappointed with the quality of that model. The bubble level was not assembled correctly , going from horizontal mode to vertical did not result in a 90 degree flip and overall construction was rather flimsy. The 5858D is much better in all of these areas.

Bought this as a last minute replacement for ours that broke. Was on our way out of town and this was to “just get by”
Have to say that over a year now and this thing is holding up great. The latches still hold. We don’t put the big DSLR on the tripod I don’t think it would hold very well.
This is great for our little Canon and Nikon. The adapter for holding a phone is great for filming on the go.

I have two of these tripods because they are handy, sturdy, and easy to use. I have a third which I received as a gift, but it didn't survive being loaned out for others to use. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I bought this tripod to keep at my parents’ house, so I wouldn’t have to lug all my camera equipment back and forth on the plane when I travel home for the holidays. On top of it being reliable to keep stationed at home, I love how sturdy it is and not flimsy like ones I’ve used in the past. You can also adjust it to take portrait photos without worrying about your camera being unstable. Love it!
