This is a light weight tripod, but it is pretty stable. It worked well for me on a trip to the Grand Canyon.

Not the sturdiest but a great value for the price. Suitable for a casual user. Works for putting a projector for outdoor screening during corona as well as for filming sporting events. Nice that it comes with both a phone and camera mount.

Bought this as a last minute replacement for ours that broke. Was on our way out of town and this was to “just get by” Have to say that over a year now and this thing is holding up great. The latches still hold. We don’t put the big DSLR on the tripod I don’t think it would hold very well. This is great for our little Canon and Nikon. The adapter for holding a phone is great for filming on the go.

I originally purchased the Sunpak 5400 DLX tripod. I was very disappointed with the quality of that model. The bubble level was not assembled correctly , going from horizontal mode to vertical did not result in a 90 degree flip and overall construction was rather flimsy. The 5858D is much better in all of these areas.

I bought this tripod to keep at my parents’ house, so I wouldn’t have to lug all my camera equipment back and forth on the plane when I travel home for the holidays. On top of it being reliable to keep stationed at home, I love how sturdy it is and not flimsy like ones I’ve used in the past. You can also adjust it to take portrait photos without worrying about your camera being unstable. Love it!

I bought this to replace a much older tripod. This one is much steadier than my old one and a good value for the money. It works well with my Canon digital cameras as well as my old 35mm Minolta cameras. It is easy to carry and does not take up much space. It is a good value for an amateur or someone starting out with limited means.

This has met the needs so far of my daughter who has to upload some of her work and then look at it but making sure that the pictures or videos are stable. It’s not the high end stand but it is working very well and the price was great.

This is my first tripod so I can't compare it to others but it seems lightweight and compact for a 5-foot tall tripod. Only small complaint is the pan head which wasn't turning smoothly when I used it to record a performance at church as I was having trouble rotating the camera back and forth smoothly. Other than that, it has been great.

This is a good tripod for what you pay for. If you can afford a more expensive one, I would get it. It's extremely light weight and that's a pro and a con... I am very leery about mounting heavy video equipment to it but i trust it with my lighter still camera. But I think for an amateur photographer just starting out, well it works for me!
