Not to flimsy for a light weight tripod, it’s pretty stable even with a heavy camera.

Excellent Tri-Pod for Little Price

I love this tripod! It adjusts in so many ways, is easily transported and was such a great price. This is actually my second of this tri-pod. The first I abused and the plastic top broke off when it got stuck under my car seat and I pulled up the wrong direction. This break only happened after about 4-5 years of much abuse, so the fault for this break was definitely on me. I loved the first one so much, I went out and bought the same one. This is a great purchase!

Okay, so, for the money this tripod is pretty good. I've used it extensively for the past couple of weeks while shooting a stop-motion animation film for school. The things that are disappointing: (1) No cover/carrying case like with my last tripod; (2) When raising camera up or down the centerline tends to shift left/right making it quite shaky if you are trying to hold position for exact shooting; and (3) the base that attaches to the camera and sits in the tripod isn't very secure it seems, again...a little wobble in it so you want to be sure not to touch the camera if you are needing motionless shots...Other than that, like I said, it works and is a great tripod for the money but I don't think it would cost too much more to throw in a cheap carrying case...

This tripod is fantastic for the price. It's made of great quality materials, it's sturdy and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. My only complaint is that I wish It was a bit taller, but I should have measured first - so I don't want that to take away from my overall review.
I would absolutely recommend this. My heavy Canon 7D camera sits comfortably on top of this tripod. I've used it almost every day since purchasing. Very, very happy with it!

Overall this is a good tripod stand. The second time mounting the camera it got stuck. Eventually we were able to get it detached. Be careful about over tightening the camera to the top mount. (2) twists and it sits a little loose however, (3) twists and you risk getting it stuck -- the only down side in my opinion.
