    I used this tripod with my Nikon D90 with lens ranging from 18-105mm to a 70-200mm. It was sturdy and easy to maneuver as I was taking pictures at a gymnastics competition so I was moving side to side following the competitors.

    One of a kind tripod. Has the carbon fiber so when I shoot in sand and dirt it doesn't corrode or stain. The pistol grip is very reactive and is great for video shoots.

    For a very light tripod, it is exceptionally stable and the trigger grip makes repositioning the camera quick and steady. Very impressive and is definitely my go to tripod now.

    Head mount has no tension control. pro and semi pro gear cannot handle increased weight. personally i would not mount a $5K camera (D800/70-200mm) on this head mount - too risky. my advice keep the carbon fiber tripod stand - throw away the stock head mount and buy a professional head mount from Giottos or Manfroto. recommended with reservation
