I was excited about the pistol grip but that became the biggest issue. It may be ok for smaller DSLR cameras but even using it with the kit lens for my 6D, it took about three days to start flopping and not doing the job. I think it's to much to pay for what it can handle.

I have not yet used this other than to see if it worked with my camera and it does.. I thought it was very expensive and I found the same tripod on line for $50 less and BBY refunded my money when I took them the ad..

I have not had this tripod long enough to use it much. I like that it is light weight (3.4 lb) carbon fiber. I also like the pistol grip ball head, the 65.75" maximum height and padded case.

No issues, stands without shifting or roacking. Some plastic around the top base makes me a little suspect overall, but it works with no issues

I love how easy it is to set it up and the level makes it even better. There is an attachment that allows you to quickly remove the camera which works well if you are shooting a landscape and then see a bird and need to remove it from the tripod quickly. It is big to carry around but not heavy.

This is a fine tripod. Solid. It has a bit of wobble when fully extended, so don't do that. I shoot multiple exposures and must have perfect sync. With care, this will perform well.

The head on this tripod is garbage. Carbon legs are nice, but the wobbly plastic head makes it unusable for anything serious

The tripod is fine I may go 3 or 4 stars but the HEAD is a total piece of junk. I would rate it at less than a 1 star. I put a Gitzo head on it and it is fine but not such a deal when you have to buy a new head. The head and ball that came works fine... It is the piece you put to the camera that snaps into the head it is HORRIBLE. the camera is VERY loose and not stable at all.. .

Decent tripod, the handle is nice, but it does have a little, issues with slipping down once the head is locked. It is a large lens with a focus rail.
