I'll admit, I wasn't fully invested in this game when I bought it. I was mostly looking forward to playing other people's created levels. But after getting into it, it's so addicting! I can't believe how much fun it is to create your own Mario levels. I thought I would be terrible at it and run out of ideas fast, since I'm usually not a creative person. But after making one level, you just have so many more ideas you want to try out. Not to mention you keep unlocking new items to use in your levels. I have probably spent more time at this point creating than playing other people's levels. Definitely a must-own for any true Nintendo fan.

It really doesn't get much better than this. With the ability to create your own levels, as well as access the countless levels created by players around the world, this is a virtually endless Mario game with tons of new levels popping up each day. Incredible value for the money.

This was more than I was expecting. It's like Minecraft for the SMB generation or those of us raised in the 80s/early 90s. The level of creativity achievable has nearly no limits and I'm excited to see what levels I make, as well as, what the community is bound to come up with.

I'm a huge fan of the Super Mario World era graphics, and being able to play all new levels in that style, as well as the 3 others, is fantastic. This game is basically limitless since user based content will be made by so many people. Highly recommended for any Mario fans!

Super Mario Maker is a great game for anybody who loves Mario games or just expressing their creativity. The game is so in-depth and yet so easy to pick up. Even if you don't like creating things, there are millions of stages to play. The world is your's with this game!

Great concept ! Fun game that you can take your time with. The more you play, the more it unlocks. I'm always excited to see what's next! You can build the craziest boards your imagination can come up with. Plus you can share it online and play other peoples boards.

It's Mario. Classic and current. Enough said. Excellent game! Continuously expanding, limitless possibilities of board layout. I'm super stoked about this game and my kids (ages 6 and 4) go nuts over it.

Nintendo puts the world of Mario in your hands and lets your imagination soar! Super Mario Maker gives the player all the tools to create their own fantastic or sadistic Mario levels. Not only do you get to play and create your own levels, but you get to play an unlimited amount of always updating levels online from users across the globe. The tools provided in this game allow the user to create a level layout, choose a Mario game to frame it in (Mario Bros, Super Mario World, Mario 3, and New Super Mario), then pick enemies and placement, power ups, music, pipes and then publish it to be played by others. The game also features challenge modes of playing a mix of harder online levels, and a 100 Mario challenge where you have 100 lives to pass a certain number of tough levels. If you are a Nintendo or Mario fan, pick this up and create the Mario world of your dreams.

Always been a dream of mine to create Mario stages and now I can. At first I was a little intimidated at the thought of creating my own level but the game does a great job of explaining everything to you. Very intuitive interface and they don't overwhelm you with options at the start, so you're allowed to get your feet wet. You will unlock more options and items to place in your levels the more you play the game. By the time you've unlocked all the items, you'll have enough experience to create your own, creative level. You're only limited by your own imagination. With the option to download user stages online, you'll always find a level to play. Believe me, there are a lot of very creative and fun user created levels. It's a blast to have your friends and family try out one of your levels. This game is awesome. If you're a Mario fan, this one is a no-brainer.

Buy it now, why haven't you bought it yet? Creating courses is pretty close to simple, just drag and drop. The game starts you off with limited selections of styles, items, and enemies to teach you how to make a basic course. The more time you spend creating the more you unlock to create even crazier courses! Finding great courses is not the easiest, there's no way to search for different types of course...but I won't dock a full star for that. You can always find the best of the best weekly, or all time as well as recently uploaded courses. The comments system is pretty cool, utilizing Miiverse you can create a comment on the course you're playing and it will appear in game at the exact spot on the course where you left the comment. (I recommend using the options to limit comments to the gamepad...as they tend to clutter the course on popular uploads)

I'm an old school Mario player from the first Super Mario Bros. This new game doesn't fail to deliver on the experience of new and old games. it allows endless possibilities on level design. It has bridged the gap between my generation and my son's.

Highly addictive as you get to build out the levels. Ever thought there should be another power up or there should be less. You can do it. You can also play other people's levels as well. If you have a creative side, this lets you express yourself.

If you grew up playing the different Mario games, this is definitely one to have in your collection. You can have so much fun playing the classic in addition to building your own course and seeing how others can travel through your course as well.

You can make Mario levels, legit real Nintendo crafted levels. Using the gamepad is intuitive simple and fun. This game has given me the opportunity to unleash my creativity even though i'm not a super creator, i still get a great kick out of it.

This game is almost like having many Mario games in one. This is the perfect game for those who want to be creative and make their own Mario levels. Even if you're lacking on the creative side you can still play the creations of other players.

If you love Mario, then you will love this game. It allows you to remember those favorite Mario games of your childhood while actually creating those levels you always imagined you would play. A mushroom powered-up bowser! Only in this game.

If you like Mario old or new you are going to like this game. My 9 year old son and I love this game. You get to make your own levels and play other peoples levels from around the world. You also get to use all of your amiibos in this game!

With a simple and fun interface, Mario Maker will have you making levels for hours on end or playing the crazy and awesome things that people create. Just be warned that with for every amazing level, there are 30 levels made just to irritate you. Luckily they are rated and curated so you shouldn't encounter them too often when browsing levels. If browsing for levels sounds boring, they also included what is essentially a Shuffle mode called the 100 Mario Challenge. You get 100 lives to beat 16 levels. Sounds easy but its very hard considering these are custom levels. Only thing missing from this game is automatically being notified when a friend makes a level. You have to manually follow them within the game to get that. Which sounds redundant. Other than that this game is a must have for any Wii U owner.

If you are a fan of all all Mario games then this is the game for you. You can customize your own Mario experience by creating your own levels and bringing them to life to have millions of people across the globe play them. I thought at first that it would be hard to create your own levels b/c that is the way it felt with other games that had a similar mechanic like Little Big Planet but boy was I wrong. Nintendo made it extremely easy to make your own creation with all of the tools they give. Having the gamepad definitely is what glues everything together. I know other people have stated that the Wii U is a failure but I beg to differ. This games shows that Nintendo hasn't lost its touch at all over the years and that it is as strong as it has ever been. If you enjoy Mario games then get this right now!

Celebrating Mario's 30 year anniversary. This game has a lot of replay value. Jump online and see what other users have created. You won't be bored to see what you and other people can create. Its the best idea for a Mario game.
