The 4th SSB game and the first on a handheld. LOTS of characters, lots of modes, tons to unlock and do within the game. The circle pad makes things a little iffy, occasionally making you miss the timing of a jump or power move. Other than that, this is a game that every 3DS owner needs to have in their collection.

I bought this game for my 8 year old son, and when he starts playing it, he is pretty much doing that and nothing else. So, if you have a small child at home, and would like some time for yourself in the evening, Super Smash Brothers can definitely help.

Take Smash Bros with you on the go! Great for young and old gamers alike! You can duke it out with all of your favorite Nintendo characters! Challenge people online and see how badly Samus can smack Mario around in a virtual arena. Highly recommended!

The entry into the franchise really lives up to the hype, despite my personal feelings about it before it came out. The new characters, maps, modes, and tweaked online gameplay add a ton of new experiences and replay value to the game, and feel well thought out and produced. The gameplay is smooth and balanced, and still retains the intensity and thrill that people have come to expect when battling against other players. The ability to take it on the go is a great plus, and something I've always wanted to do. Just keep your charger handy, cause this game is a battery sucker.

Fans of the Smash Brothers series may be hesitant about the controls on the 3DS, but they will be assured that the game plays fluidly and tightly once they transition to the handheld. This entry has a massive roster and loads of content that is expected of a console version of Smash Brothers. The online modes have a solid connection. The game lacks a few customization options for gameplay, but it is a welcoming addition to the series and a great appetizer for the Wii U version. I strongly recommend this game as a supplement to the Wii U version to train and learn on the go.

This game stands up to all the other smash bros games. Although the graphics may not be as good as the others, the fact that you can play this game on the go, and against people online more than makes up for any shortcomings it may have.

This game, Super Smash Bros, is a fantastic addition to the Smash gaming industry. Sadly, there is no story, but there are a variety of characters to play as and a MASSIVE amount of online content. The game is more fun if you have other friends to play it with because once you get advanced, Level 9 bots are really not that hard. I recommend having internet access while playing this game and playing with friends.

Sure the controls seem jarring at first, but you get past it from the amounf of fun you are having. There is a lot of content with trophies of recognizable and not so recognizable characters, diverse outfits for your Miis, great multiplayer (with some lag here and there but overall a great experience), etc. Just remember when the Wii U version comes out, to still play the 3DS version because although it is not up to par, it is still an experience worth your money and then some.

I honestly never thought that super smash bros would be on a handheld system the game is great and better on the home console but i am glad that they put it on the handheld system thanks Nintendo.

What more can I say? It's Super Smash Bros on to go! It's great and fun for any gamer! I would still recommend the Wii U version but if you don't have a Wii U, this is a good alternative.

I purchased this game for my brother and he loves it. The game is awesome and you can compete with different characters as well as watch other battles happen.

This is a great game to take on the go. It's entertaining and the graphics are great! Game can be played for long period or a short period just to bypass some time waiting.

This is absolutely a must have if you own a 3DS. It will keep you entertained for a long time whether you like to play by yourself or with a friend. But doing group matches with a few friends is definitely the most fun you'll have with this game. It's an easy to pick up fighting game so the controls are simple and anyone can learn. Choose from several of Nintendo's mascots and battle with friends or online. Fighting against the computer is fun too. Check it out!

Smash Bros.'s combat maintains the delicate balance of complex mechanics and surface simplicity for casual fans which has made it so popular: there's still just as much fun to be had frantically mashing every button on the pad and hoping for a result as there is learning the intricacies of a character's move set. More advanced players can further refine the roster by equipping them with stat boosters. But even the most competent tacticians will see their strategies go out the window when it comes to the new eight-player Smashes. Smash comes packed with an absurd amount of content, most noticeably in its audio. Fans of any one Smash fighter's portfolio are likely to find their favourite tune here. The soundtrack includes a combination of wonderfully arranged remixes of old favourites as well as their originals, with more unlocked as you progress. The stages and fighters are a joy to watch, and the urge to unlock every trophy and complete every challenge remains as strong as ever. Smash on 3DS was an incredible offering, and worked wonders with the hardware.

Smash is a must-have! They've included some great characters. Their move sets are awesome. Some characters seem more well-rounded now and some are more OP. I love that they included Little Mac. I think he's an awesome character. You can play wherever you want because it's on a portable gaming system now. I also enjoy Smash Run. It's fun to do with friends and to try to beat their stats.

If you're a Smash series fan, then this game undoubtedly will please. For the uninitiated, it's worth the jump into the fray. It took me awhile to get used to playing this kind of game on a 3DS, but after a couple sessions with the game, I became comfortable with the controls. It's still a very technical game, but my friend, who is a very casual player and with whom I got the game, still very much enjoys it. Local multiplayer (local Wi-Fi) is very smooth and responsive with no perceptible lag. I didn't try online though, so I can't comment on that.

these words are synonymous with the famed Gamecube title and I still love playing all of the games in the series. SSB on the 3DS is just as good as the WiiU title and still plays as hard. With the addition of the built in C-Stick on the N3DS it's definitely worth having, otherwise you're kinda SOL on the regular 3DS and have to buy the attachment. Amiibo support built in rules and the online play with streetpass and others definitely is a plus!

Two words: Portable. Smash. Of course the 3DS controls are not optimal, but come on, nothing beats being able to play Smash Bros. anywhere, anytime!

Settle it in smash. This Portabe version is great for people who don't own a wiI u or you want to continue your experience away from the wii.
