This game is just like SSB on Wii U and can even be played with your Wii U. Now, you can't see the screen on the 3DS like the Wii U tablet controller, but this is still a great 3DS game, and gives you an extra controller if you play on the Wii U.

This is a great first launch of SSB into the handheld market. It makes it easy to just pick up and play on the go. If you have enjoyed any of the previous games in the serious I would definitely recommend buying this game. You won't regret it.

Some people have shown pictures of the 3ds's thumbsticks getting broken while playing this. I've owned it since launch day, and I'm still fine. This is a great game -- and even if you have the Wii U version, it's a worthwhile mobile experience.

I love smash bros. I love that it's on a portable device. Controls are an issue for me as far as comfort goes. i don't really dig the slide stick like it would be an analog. honestly though, it just make take some time to get used too. i'm glad it has cross over functionality with the wii u.

Super smash has been a fantastic game since the time of the n64. This one is no exception. With a great cast of characters with a variety of different styles, you can be sure that there is a tons of hours of amazing playtime to be had.

While a little different from the Wii U version this version has a lot of interesting features that keep me engaged. It's fun to just knock out a few matches while on my commute and the Unlockables keep me engaged and returning for more

I'm late to Smash, but the Wii U version finally sold me on the series. After getting into the Wii U version, I knew I had to pick this up for on the go. Quality title and amazing how well they translated it to the handheld.

I've been a fan of the series since I played the original Super Smash Bros on N64. It's awesome to finally have it on a handheld. The only issue I have with it so far is that sometimes it's difficult to see what's going on on the tiny screen (I have the original smaller 3DS and am thinking about upgrading to the XL when the New 3DSes are released in the US specifically because of this game). There are lots of different game modes and plenty of extra characters and stages to unlock. I will definitely be getting the Wii U version as well.

My daughter loved it. She picked it out. We had some trouble finding it because all of the new had been marked used and the sales folks couldn't locate them. Eventually we got it, though, and the teen was quiet for a couple days. ;)

My biggest worry going into this game was whether it would feel right on a handheld. After all, all previous iterations of the series were on a console. Turned out to not be a problem. The game handles great -- after I changed some of the button configurations in the settings. Getting past the initial setting issues (and an unintuitive menu/user interface), the game is what I expected: An incredibly fun brawler with loads of characters and unlockables. I've played numerous times and still feel like I've barely scratched the surface.

This game was better than what I expected to be from what I saw on trailers and game-plays. Once I started playing it, it look way better from what I saw and the best thing about this game is that you can take it on the go! First time they made super smash bros game for a hand-held system. Although everyone, including myself, prefer the wii u version, I still think this is a pretty good game for the 3DS because it is a lot easier to take the game with you, plus you can use the game on the 3DS as a controller for the wii u version.

My son is 8 and he absolutely loves this new game he received for Christmas. There a lot of ways to individualize the characters and he was able to figure out the basics of the game quickly... Without my help-thumbs up!

It’s by no means comparable to the console versions. It comes with less characters, less maps, and the fighting is a little slower due to the controls. That being said, it is a very fun game. It’s a great way to scratch the SSB itch when you are traveling. If you can’t find any Switch consoles in stock, this is a great way to find a subsititute! Worth picking up if you are thinking about it.

Many characters and levels. You get to customize your own character as well. It is recommended that you only play with 3 people all together to make sure the screen doesn't Zoom out to far. Gameplay is overall great!

Its Smash bros, so you know it is going to be great. This one you can take with you on the bus or anywhere you go. It connects with the Wii U and you can use it as a controller or to transfer your characters. Very fun.

This game really becomes special when playing with several other players. My son plays in big brawls with 8 other players / friends. Some are on 3ds', and some are on switches with no issues

This is Super Smash Brothers, but on a handheld. The overall game is great and stands up to its console counter-part. This game is the real deal and the controls work fine, although the circle pad isn't the greatest.

I love super smash bros. This new version is the best I've played so far since Melee. I love the new big levels and customization features for the game. And now that its on the 3DS, you can smash anytime, anywhere!

This game is a classic for Nintendo lovers, and now it's on a handheld system. Super Smash Bros, brings fighting games to a new level. The main objective in the fights is to deal damage to your opponent and knock them off the stage not kill them. The game comes with 20+ characters ready to fight with a few more to unlock as you unlock challenges. The game also has obstacle courses, target practice and a home run derby style mini-game. Pick this up for the Nintendo child or inner child in your life.

Bringing the Smash Bros. franchise to the DS was genius. It's all the fun you would expect from this series and you can bring it with you anywhere. Plane rides are just more fun now! This is a must for DS owners.
