Don't buy this game expecting a competitive, full-fledged Smash Bros game on a portable system. While it certainly has the desire to be that, the game's controls cause bad hand cramps and has been known to break the 3DS's circle pads. I can only play it in short bits and find myself getting really bored/frustrated with some of the new game modes. That being said, the game is a wonderful way to pass time on the bus or just to burn a few minutes because of how many modes there are. The game acts as a way to keep playing a form of Smash until you're able to come home and play the main game on Wii U. The game has it's charms but also modes like Target Bomb and Smash Run are incredibly frustrating and not in the same line as what people are used to from Smash Bros. That doesn't make it a bad game, it just may not be the 100% legit portable version of Smash Bros that people expected.

Super Smash for 3DS is just as you'd expect. Same gameplay. However, I do find the 3DS's without the C Stick, to be annoying to play this game with. It is one of the best games for 3DS. Well worth the money!

Love the way the game plays on the new nintendo 3ds xl! the c stick takes a bit of time to get familiar with it's use in gameplay but the game runs so smooth. I originally played on the wii u and do reccomend.

A portable Smash Brothers that gives a great Smash Bros experience on the go. Don't let the mobility of this title fool you, it gives you a solid gameplay experience of a Smash Bros that you can take anywhere.

Bought this game for my son this past Christmas and he absolutely enjoyed playing it. It has all the Nintendo characters in one game roll into one. The price is reasonable too. Thanks Best Buy great product.

The game, as expected, works as it should and is providing my son with an enjoyable playing experience. He would play this game on his DS all day long if we didn't limit his playing time. Thank you.

Super Smash Bros 3DS is a fun game for any age. Even my wife who isn't any type of gamer thoroughly enjoys playing this game. If you like any of the games before this, than this is a must pick up.

There is no story mode, but there are plenty of different single player modes like Smashrun, Classic, and All-Star Mode to keep you busy; with over 40 characters you can revisit these modes and have a new experience each time. Smashrun is multiplyer as well and is very exciting to play with friends. Online brawl matches are smooth about 50% of the time, so I wouldn't purchase this if you're looking for online action, but if you got friends with a 3DS then this game is perfect.

Excellent game from every aspect. The fighter system is tight and plenty of unlockables.You can't go wrong with this game has many nintendo characters and dlc from other games totally awesome.

A great game all around. Tons of fun characters, good stages, and lots of different modes makes this a phenomenal portable game. The new features add a ton of customization so you can tweak characters to be exactly how you want. Online play works ok if you get a good connection and is a lot of fun as well. My only complaint would be a lack of options with online play modes - lots of the custom options are only allowed when playing with friends, which is not as convenient.

My kids love playing this on the 3ds while in the car and out and about. The best part is for buying this and the Wii U version Nintendo offered a Pokemon player to download and play with as a bonus!

My son is having a blast with this Smash Brothers game that he even links up with his cousins to play a one for all match! The only problem is that the 3DS keeps running out of batteries! LOL.

I have owned all the previous ones since they started on the Nintendo 64. This is one of the best ones yet. I would highly recommend this game. It is defiantly a must have for any 3ds owner.

Super Smash Bros. finally arrives for the the first time ever for a Nintendo portable handheld gaming system and it doesn't fail to prove it is just as good as it's previous console counterparts. With over 50 playable characters from various Nintendo franchises you won't have trouble finding a character of your taste. There is also an all new exclusive mode for the 3DS version called Smash Run where you're tossed into a giant maze along with your opponents and must fight the enemies in your path as they drop power ups to increase your various stats all which tally up after 5 minutes in which you're then sent to a random battle stage to fight and see who comes out victorious. It is a well made new feature which you'll surely come back for more. The controls had no issues what so ever but if you do have some problem you can customize them however you like. The online is very much fun and enjoyable and allows you to play in two different categories "For Fun" and "For Glory". Want to just enjoy yourself and have a chaotic time with items and the various gimmicks the many stages have to offer? Than "For Fun" is the one to try, or perhaps you want to be more competitive and test your skills without any interferences? Then look no further than "For Glory" as you'll be tossed into a flat stage and fight in 4 player (as well as 1 vs 1) matches to see who is the most skilled of the bunch. The online does tend to suffer from lag at times but it is a much more improvement from the online that was in Smash Bros Brawl. With the Wii U version coming out in November 21st if you're undecided on which one to get perhaps it is best to wait for the Wii U version but if you only own a Nintendo 3DS you don't need to worry about feeling left out as the 3DS version has enough content and enjoyment to last you years to come.

Bought this game for my 9 year old son and he loves it. He is able to link his amiibos with it. Many different characters from Nintendo from over the years. Some he knows and some he doesn't

If you've played Smash before, you know what you're getting. This game is just as addicting as the others in the series. Online matches are fun, haven't experienced any lag so far. The only (small) complaint I have is the controls. They take some getting used to if you're used to playing with a gamecube controller. Thankfully, you can map the buttons to your liking. When the new 3DS comes out with the extra shoulder button I think I'll be happier with the controls.

This game is so fun and a wonderful addition to the Super Smash Bros. series. It plays really well on the 3DS and is a must own to anyone who has a 3DS or is a fan of the Super Smash Bros. series.

I know kids and adults who play and love Super Smash Bros. We have it for both the Wii U and the 3DS, and both are fantastic. My kids are 6 and 8, and all three of us enjoy playing this game.
