An excellent entry in the series, tons of content and fun for casual and hardcore players. The new co-op modes offer something less competitive but silly great fun. Highly recommended for all the nods to classic and obscure Nintendo franchises.

Instant classic. The online play for Wii U is free, the gameplay is simple and yet complex as you play others online you will be up for a good challenge while choosing from a great array of characters and awesome stages and the best songs. The only thing I wish it had would be a 1 player story mode.

I bought this game for my son a week ago. There are a lot of characters and various stages for you to choose. He invites me and his friends to play team battles. It is the best multiplayer game and a good Christmas gift for kids.

Smash Bros is one of the best Nintendo games out for the Wii U today. There are some many characters and stages to unlock. This is great for single player casual gaming or crazy fun multiplayer with friends. I would recommend.

Behind all that mayhem and chaos however, is plenty skill and timing to become a good smash player. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is an exceptional title for the Wii U platform that'll continue to entertain for years to come. After having played the original Smash Bros. on the N64 and Melee on the Gamecube, I skipped Brawl. It's been a while since I've experienced the mayhem goodness of Smash Bros. However, after re-familiarizing myself, I started experiencing the same kind of fun I did years ago. The newest edition features a plethora of characters and single player content, coupled with an online component to provide endless hours of entertainment.

Literally the best video game I've ever played! Up to eight of my friends can play together at once, smooth online multiplayer, and an exciting amount of stages, characters, and game modes! It's perfection on a disc!

This game is amazing, definitely the best in the series. There is simply a ton of things to unlock, characters to customize, and strategies to learn. 8-player matches are pretty much the best local multi-player ever.

I hadn't played this franchise since the N64 version and it's just as fun as I remember. It's nice to see all the original characters are still here with soooo many new ones. I definitely would recommend this game.

Best smash brothers yet. Tons of characters and customization and 8 player smash! This game is for everyone and with DLC characters like MewToo and Lucas join the fight you'll be playing this one for a long time!

Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U brings a great mix of new and old to make this the best Smash since the original N64 version. While it loses a few characters from Brawl including Metal Gear Solid's Snake, this edition boasts even more classic characters from Nintendo and beyond. Wanna to see who would win between Sonic, Mega Man, Pac-man and Mario? Now you can. In addition to a great roster, you get tons of single and multiplayer game modes. Most notable is a much improved online mode where you can battle friends or strangers across the globe. You can even play with up to 8 characters at once if you have enough controllers. If you loved any of the past Smash games, you'll love all the new features the Wii U version has to offer

First off, just going to apologize for the review title... I just couldn't resist. Anyways, this game is awesome. The roster is HUGE and with more characters available via DLC, it only gets better! And just like Brawl, the stage selection and music are all top notch as well. There are a lot of challenges and modes to play around with, but let's face it, the real meat comes from the multiplayer and this game doesn't disappoint! 8 Player Smash battles are absolutely crazy and incredible fun! I also want to mention how awesome the amiibo support is. The figures are not only awesome looking, but the whole "training" thing is just really cool and it's fun to watch your amiibo grow and start kicking some major butt.

It's finally time for a new Smash, and I'd say it's better than it's ever been. Updated graphics, balanced physics and new characters, plus the additional function of amiibos, add a whole new layer to Smash.

Have you ever had that itching feeling to punch your friend? Please don't do that, it's violent, and it shows a lack of disrespect towards others. Also you risk the chance they'll punch you back. Nobody wants a bruise! Instead, you should play Super Smash Brothers! As you guessed from title, there are brothers, they smash, and they do it superbly (super is a form of superb). Beyond the typical brothers who smash,there are many other ridiculous characters you can place into a brawl. This is all without the risk of property damage or hospital visits. Super Smash brothers provides a way for you and your friends to duke it out in a safe and respectful environment... or if you prefer, Donkey Kong's swanky zone for barrel tossing. After the many hours playing this game, I realized, it's not the best when played alone. Some of fights begin to blend into each other and it got a bit repetitive. I'd recommend grabbing a few friends, hopping into the ring and duking it out for a night of eternal glory! Hey, it beats a tickle fight.

I purchased this for my two daughters (age 4 and 6) and they both love it. Me and my wife also love it. This game is great for the whole family. I'm relatively new to the smash brothers franchise, but I've always been aware of it. I'm glad to say this game is just as good as all the positive reviews indicate. Quite frankly, it exceeded my expectations. There's multiple game modes and several ways to customize each battle. There's plenty of replay value and I'm sure this game will be something we keep coming back to for continued entertainment.

A great game to play with family, friends, or even online. However, I personally feel they didn't focus enough on a single player campaign. I still recommend everyone with a wii U to purchase it!

The last Smash Bros I have played was on the N64. This is a great game to have: all the nostalgia brought back via fun battles plus many additions (characters, abilities, etc). Great game overall.

SSB has a huge amount of content for the price which will keep both single player and multiplayer gamers busy for months. It is an amazing looking game also. Nintendo can make beautiful HD games.

Anyone who knows anything about the Smash Bros. series knows what to expect from this game. Which means this game is incredibly fun when played with a group of people and slightly less so when playing by yourself. The single player content is robust enough that completionists will find a lot to sink their teeth into, but don't expect anything resembling a story mode. That aside, the gameplay is as smooth as ever, and the game looks glorious in HD. Add in the new fighters that have been added and you've got yourself a pretty sweet package here! If you have a history with Nintendo games or just feel like pounding your friend's face in, this is the game for you! Settle it in Smash!
