Lot's of characters, very balanced, and highly competitive. If you liked the other games, you'll also like this one.

This is my favorite iteration of Super Smash Bros yet. It's got more characters than ever by a long shot, and the different skins for them make it interesting too. It's more fluid and very visually attractive. The DLC characters tend to be a bit strong but not unbeatable. Also I must say the addition of Omega mode was genius. The best thing about this game though is playing with your friends, or having fun tournaments. This also leads me to the major flaw, online mode. Often referred to simply as "For Glory" the online is mediocre. There is constant input delay, no matter how good your connection or your opponent's. And if one of you has terrible connection the game lags to a point that it's unplayable. If you can avoid online then this game is amazing. Super fun and a great addition to the franchise.

I've played every game in the series and this one is up there with the rest. While it is lacking the story mode it stays true to the fighter we all know and love. The gameplay is smooth along with the all around look. The multiplayer is also a great addition and gives it all the replay value a player could ever want. If you purchase the DLC you can actually play as Ryu from Capcoms Streetfighter and Mewtwo from Pokémon. With all that said let the fight commence.

This is a great game, just like Wii Brawl but with more characters, more moves, stages, and everything. Only thing that I didn't like which people may not agree with is that they took out the story mode which was kind of irritating to play I guess when you usually just play Smash with friends but there was just something fun about story mode. But I can understand why they took it out and just had Smash be the first thing to play since that's what most people do anyway

The graphics, characters and stages are great. There are many different modes to choose from which are all cool.

If you love nintendo characters battling in up to eight player matches then this is the game for you! Great fun!

Just got into playing Super Smash Brothers (I'm more of a SF/MK player) and at first, I wasn't really feeling the characters (except for my girl Samus) or the cartoonish graphics. But, after playing several days and getting the hang of it, I have to admit that I'm really enjoying it now and the four player battles are great (and frustrating). Definitely pick up a Game Cube controller to use though - makes quite a difference in the gameplay.

I love this series, so this game was a no brainier buy for me. If you like fighting games, or even if you don't it is a game for you. I was lucky enough to get the bundle with the Gamecube controller and adapter before it became hard to find for months. Gamer's Club Unlocked helps a lot with these bigger purchases of games, this was just over 80 bucks instead of 100. The game itself is fantastic and the DLC and replayability is great.

Fun for all ages. I have a blast playing solo, online, or local vs. It's a must have for the Wii U.

We can play with up to eight players, which is nice. It's fun as a group. With those kids under 8, I would be cautious, as this game is all about beating each other up.

Together with Mario Kart 8, this is a must-have for your living room if you own a Wii U and often have friends over for games. Handles 8 players and is a ton of fun with a lot of replayable value - but you knew that. Would dock half a star for Nintendo's concerning slow drift towards in-game purchases... but ultimately this doesn't detract from a great game. Pick up an adapter for GameCube controllers if that's what you're used to!

This game is the best looking smash brothers game yet. The character roster is huge and varied. The only complaint i have is that it is slightly difficult for newcomers to the series to pick up and play right away.

Playing Online with friends is always a plus! Super Smash Bros is a classic and a great game to play!

I bought the 3DS version of Smash first and held off until the Wii U version was on sale, because I didn't want to buy the same game twice. It's worth it though. The Wii U version looks so much better, and has all different achievements and different game modes. If you've played all the single-player content in one version, it's definitely worthwhile to give the other one a try if you're still hankering for more Smash!

I have been following the Super Smash Bros series since the original game and the Wii U is a great addition to the series. The graphics are just beautiful, game mechanics are superb, and playing at 60fps is sweet. This game has so many features that it would take months to complete/do everything. The game has a great solo mode, but the real fun is when you're playing with friends. Try out 8-player smash. It's total chaos!

What can I say? It is Super Smash Bros. The original on the N64 was the first game I ever played/owned and as you can see I am still playing the series to this day because it keeps on getting better. It is one of those games that I can't really find a fault with. It is an awesome game and a lot of fun to play with friends. The new 8 player smash is really intense and a nice addition to the series. This game is a must buy.
