I'm a fan of the show and I've already seen this season prior to this purchase. This is an addition to my Blu-Ray collection of this show. It's one of my favorite seasons. I really like the special features that come with the Blu-Ray edition, including deleted scenes from each episode and the featurettes included on the final disc.

Season 11 was one of the better seasons after the initial 6-8 seasons of Supernatural. This DVD set archives the events of season 11 from start to finish as the aftermath of breaking the seal that was the Mark of Cain, which imprisoned the Darkness, to the eventual end of the vendetta between Chuck/God and his sister Amara/The Darkness.
A major event that happened in this season was the release of Lucifer from the cage by Castiel after Sam decided to interrogate him in/by the cage regarding how Amara was trapped in the past.
We also see Hands of God for the first time, which are items that were directly touched by God and had His power stored in them that various characters used & the Winchesters hoped to use on Amara.
One of the best episodes of the season is Don't Call Me Shurley, when after 11 seasons of the show, we finally have an on screen confirmation that Chuck Shurley is not just a prophet but is actually God of the Supernatural universe in disguise. The episode and the way it was handled with Metatron was very well done. It actually made the viewers finally understand why Metatron did what he did and it answered many of our questions. It was wonderful seeing Dean's amulet again and how it shined finally when Chuck wanted it to.
The season does have its downsides though like the way the season ended (no big battle, but rather an anti-climactic burying of the hatchet). I also am not a fan of Rowena & the silliness around her and she does have a big role in season 11.
I did want to mention that this season introduced a new monster which ended up becoming one of my favorite monster types---the Soul Eaters in the episode Safe House. The Soul Eaters create a pocket dimension, which exceeds space & time in the real world and actually allowed Sam & Dean of the time to be in the same area as Bobby & Rufus of the past, without them knowing. I was really hoping to see more Soul Eaters and maybe for the time aspect to allow the Winchesters to interact with Bobby and perhaps warn him of his demise at the hands of Dick Roman so they could somehow bring him back. I also think it would have been interesting if Soul Eaters were explained as being a creation of Amara's since she is a god and exceeds time herself just like Chuck (which is why if Chuck was killed so would the universe since it would be as if Chuck (the creator of time & one who is beyond time, never existed to have created the universe).
Anyway, I highly recommend this season for both casual viewers and of course for diehard fans it's not even a question.

If I could give this 4-1/2 Stars, as my favorite seasons are the first three! However that aside, Supernatural does deserve the 5, as it has been a surprisingly good series, loved by my wife & I both.
We didn't start watching the series until this spring, & got the 1st 9 seasons as a set, on the recommendation of a friend. I can't remember how long we had that set sitting around until we finally decided to try watching it, but by the time we got thru about 1/4 of the 1st season, we were hooked on it!
From then on we watched one season after the next (the only way to watch it!....esp. w/ no commercials or waiting for the next episode!) & when we got to the end, buying the next seasons until we were up to date was automatic.
The Blu-ray was a great transfer and the extras are all worth watching.
Overall, I HIGHLY recommend getting this, along with the rest of the Seasons. Supernatural is a really good series, and as our friend did for us, I HIGHLY recommend you give this show a try.
(I would highly recommend you to Watch it from the beginning! It is not something you can expect to enjoy if you just "pop in" for an episode or two. You could do that with most of the 1st three seasons, but the format/ story line is no longer "completed each episode", & much of it is now built from week to week.)
Anyone who likes this sort of subject matter, will love Supernatural!

Supernatural has not lost a beat. Storyline wise it's changing and evolving all of the time. This show is probably not known for it's acting as much as the special effects and that's a shame. Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins acting is truly underrated. These three can make you laugh hard, cry some, and feel any emotion they're feeling on the show. I know it's a show about fighting evil and all, but it's also about family and what we'd all do for them. 11 seasons being on tv isn't an accident. It's writing, acting and special effects that pull you into the show. I hope this show goes on for a few seasons more.

It's hard not to love Supernatural. It's even harder to believe it necessary to have to sell the show to someone. It's an addiction. But, for the sake of review, for the die hards and dabblers alike, this is another must have addition for the collection. Season 11 includes some very new memorable episodes and plots that go back to the horror appeal of the first 2 seasons along with the usual big bads that have come to be a recurrence. Of course, there's Sammy and Dean, too. And I can't forget to mention our favorite angel Cas.

I feel this show gets better and better every season. It's no different than most shows, as the main idea of the show repeats throughout the seasons, but unlike a lot of recent series, this one continues to find new, engaging trials and tribulations for the two heroes, alongside their normal "Saving people, hunting things" ethos. Not to mention the great blend of comedy, drama, suspense, and character building that makes this series worthy of all of the Netflix binge memes it has spawned. The menus/episodes are easily accessible, unlike some TV series DVD's, there's some good extras, including a pretty funny gag reel, and for buying it right when it came out, I felt I got a good price on it.

Do you like Supernatural? If yes, then this season is for you. If no, then I cannot help you. Season 11 is a return to form for the show as old favorites are brought back and culminates with a resurrection that no one saw coming. There is a reason this show has been going strong for what is currently twelve years and will soon be thirteen, as it was recently renewed once again, and that is the characters. It goes from straight serious to the absurd and comedic, and this show does it better than any others. Do you even need this review? You know you want it.

I'm obsessed with supernatural and own all seasons all the way up to this new one, season 11. I would be crazy not to have bought this one. I am still catching up on season 10. unfortunately I'm pretty busy and basically being super slow Mo about watching season 10. But no biggie... It only gives me more to look forward to with watching season 11. I'm super juiced to just have all the box sets and am psyched to watch the newest season. I'm a super fan and I know I won't be disappointed with season 11th at all.

The Supernatural cast and crew never disappoint. Season 11 is another great trip with Sam and Dean Winchester, Castiel, and Baby as they once again take on the impossible. Really, if you've made it through all 10 of the previous seasons, then you know this season will be as awesome as the rest. Highly recommended.

The 11th season of Supernatural keeps you on the edge of your seat as they battle the blackeyed demons. This season they are also trying to find a way to get rid of God's sister before she destroys the world. Crowley's beautiful mother, as well as Crowley, lends a hand to help the brothers get rid of Amara. I don't think I will ever get tired of Supernatural there is always something new going on. The suspense and shock in every episode keeps me forever a fan.

As per usual, the Winchesters had another fantastic season of monster hunting! Granted, the theory behind God having a sister seems far fetched, but when you knock back to the basics of balances in the universe - which it tried to lean toward more than any religious stand point - it actually makes perfect sense. And a nice twist so that we didn't feel like we were watching the same old thing over again. Can't wait to see what season 12 has in store!!

Supernatural. If you would to ask me over 12 seasons ago, that this series would still be broadcast, I would have said an honest no way. But as I am watching it, now in it's 12th season, I can only say that the writing is better then ever, and the banter between Dean and Sam continues to be great, I can only see this series continue, to who knows when.

After a show like this keeps going, its hard to believe that it keeps improving but Supernatural does. There is the obvious family drama that will emerge between the brothers. After all that the series brings the heavenly and hellish drama. The darkness is interesting this season and so much fun. A great season and an awesome season finale.

I've watched this show since the very first episode and this season in particular was the best the show has been in years. Season 11 is more like Season 1 was and it did not disappoint. Bonus features are decent - love the gag reel every season. I only wish it was longer!
