It is impressive for it's small speaker size. I hope to get another one.

Great sub

Loud Chaffing

It's getting really annoying. I'm by no means pushing this sub to it's limits.

It sounds good but just not THAT good. Build is nice looks good but I think at this price you can do better for much less.

Poor!

Best Subwoofer under $500
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked the SVS PB-1000 based on alot of research and reading through AVS Forums and the Reddit Hometheater page. This sub comes highly recommended and it really delivers! I don't think you will find another under 20Hz subwoofer anywhere else for this price. The PB-1000 is also well built and was easy to set up. The ported version is definitely more suited to TV and movies, but it still does very well with music. If you want tighter bass, I would suggest the SB-1000. Unless you are jumping up to the $1000 subwoofer range, you can't go wrong with this sub.

If you have a small to medium size room these will do a nice job of taking care of the bass. If you have a medium to larger sized room, a pair of the PB-2000 subs would be a better pick. You cannot go wrong for the money.
