With only 2 or 3 months of use I can only give it 4 stars. If they end up being reliable I would definitely give them 5 stars. One thing I did different with my installation was not using the supplied cables or the 2 extras 100ft'ers I bought. I went to a low voltage supply store and bought a 500ft roll of Siamese RG59 and all the connectors. I also bought a professional power supply instead of using the cheap one that came in the kit. Picture and night vision is great and am able to set email alarms and trip points and pull up my system on my phone or tablet when ever i want. Excellent addition to current alarm system. After conducting countless hours of research, I chose this security camera system. I enjoy how clear the video is during the day or night time. Additionally, it's very simple to set up. My only issue is, the date/time on the camera doesn't count every second but counts every two seconds as if there is a lag. This may not be such a big deal to most people but it is a little bothersome to me. Other than that, I really enjoy the system and have no complaints.

Love my online iPhone view. It is nice because my husband and I are out of town a lot.

I installed over 200 Swann all with excellent results. Good resolution and easy to configure. I can control all devices from a single management console.

Originally bought the Arlo. Wasn't really enthused about running wires. Anyway took Arlo back, bought this. Way better. Focus points. Good picture. Easy install except running wires which is not the products fault. Negatives. Terrible manual. App for phone could use some work. For a basic home protection. This is good for a beginner. It's not digital so you're not going to read license plates. It's analog. It will make out facial features and it's clear. Honestly you can't go wrong. I made the purchase after some kids went thru my neighborhood checking cars. They took a buck. But now if it happens again I will have some footage.

I did the initial simple setup to verify that everything worked ( cameras, cables, power). then I started with the more advanced functions like email notification. I could not get this to work; so I called support.. They were AWESOME!! (in the Phillipines!) they took remote control and worked through all the settings. (Conclusion - all I needed was to set up a NEW G-Mail account ... and reduce the security setting to allow the SWANN software to use G-Mail. The rep had a special script that she ran against G-Mail to accomplish this.) Everything WORKS as advertised .. All cameras are 1080 P with awesome pictures. Email notices send three pics of activity that triggered motion.

I bought this system for two of my houses. I have had little problem viewing from my cellphone and no problem viewing from my computer. The minor problem with the phone app is you have to exit and log back in if the camera doesn't come up. The quality of the video in daylight and night is excellent. I'm very happy with the system. Easy to setup and use. The photo below shows one camera view of my driveway. It is very clear in HD and not sure with the lower pixel size on this site.

After doing months of research, we decided to go with this system and very happy we did. Setup was simple and the clarity of all images and videos are crystal clear. We have an acre of land and the amount of land this system covers is just amazing. If you need a system, this is the way to go!

I know there are higher end security systems out there, but for the money this one is hard to beat. Easy to set up, although getting the networking and ability to view through your smart phone was a bit of a challenge. It is also sluggish to view through the remote software or smart phone app, but that could be related to my internet connection. Images are very clear during daylight hours and the infrared video at night was better than expected but does have some limited range.

The system performs as advertised and provides all the features I needed and expected. The SwannView app is good, but could use a better, more intuitive user interface. The same goes for the DVR user interface. Once you spend an hour or so getting familiar with the system, it's easy to use. Installation is easy if you are the handy type. Otherwise, be prepared to hire an installer. The Swann installation partners are seriously overpriced, wanting $200 per camera plus materials. All I needed was someone with a 30 ft. ladder to install two of my four cameras, so I called my painter. He did it for $100.

Purchased this security system for indoor surveillance of a public building since we needed a basic system with no real bells and whistles. It's super easy to install and works great right out of the box- no need to even call customer support! Best deal out there!

Use this to monitor a 94 year old who is a fall risk to make sure somebody is in the room when he gets up. Easy to install if you can fish wires through drywall. Simple to hook everything up. Instructions are very skimpy on how to configure the system. You end up doing trial and error. If hooking up to a monitor, make sure the monitor is set to the right source (HDMI, etc). Motion detection alarm was hard to find - it is under each camera. I like that you can edit the area the motion detection applies to but the detection is not 100% reliable - you can adjust the sensitivity - but at high sensitivity, you get false positives. The really obnoxious thing is that if you use the audio alert function, it is VERY loud and cannot be adjusted to a lower volume. Camera clarity is excellent for both day and night. Love the 1080p resolution. I did not hook it up to the internet since only used inside the house.

1st and foremost, the Best Buy associates I talked to were extremely helpful. I was impressed with that alone. Next, the product is definitely good. I needed a camera security system due to a break in in my business. After looking at a number of different brands at different stores, this looked like a winner. All in all, it is. Fairly simple installation (myself), the product does what is claims, and Swann support was outstanding when I called them twice with questions. I'm in the service industry and know the value of good customer service. Best Buy and Swann were extremely helpful. This video unit was right on the money for what I needed. Quality appears good, camera's and DVR have great definition. Ease of use is important, and this is fairly easy to use once I messed with it a little. It comes out of the box setup for motion only recording, and automatically switches to night mode when the lights go off. I just installed it, but it appears to be a good product, doing exactly what it claims.

I bought this system April 2016 and I have no regrets. The 1080p bullet cameras offer stunning views in the daytime, vivid color and clarity. Nighttime viewing is in black and white, the clarity will really depend on the lighting on your property, however if someone walks up to any of my doors, windows,or my vehicles on the driveway, even if it is pitch black outside, the perpetrator can still be clearly identifiable. There are also some really great features to this system, my favorite, THE PLAY BACK MODE, kids will no longer lie about what time they got home! The motion sensor can be set to the vital areas that you would want to record and ignore other areas that you don’t want to record. I would like to add as far as setting the system up to your network, really depends on your technical knowledge and skills, but don’t be too discouraged, from my own experience with Swann’s phone tech support, less than two minutes waiting (maybe I got lucky) The technician remotely set up another computer to wirelessly connect to the system through my home network. Also the swann app works on my iPhone, not as smooth and clear as it is on my home monitor, but well enough to check in while away from home. Bottom line, based on my own experience, this has been a great product. Satisfied customer!

I first got the 720p cameras but they went bad after 2 days so I returned them and hot this set. Quality is pretty good. Nice clear pictures. Nighttime viewing works pretty well. Have had it for a week. Now. Let's see how well they do.

This this has good features and night vision.Good HD picture

The picture quality of the cameras that come with this system are excellent. We just built a new house so we had the cables run in the wall during construction so setup was incredibly easy as at that point it's really just plug in and go. The user interface isn't the best thing I've ever experienced but not that bad.

The security cameras gives us great pictures of our surroundings. Helps us feel more protected in our home. When away on vacation we are able to view clear pictures

I installed this myself and it took only a couple of hours. The longest time was spent, after getting it all up and running, to tape all the wires that were exposed to the outside elements. This was my own choice to do and was not expressly necessary. The system is flawless and the cameras are great quality.

I took the time to research many different brands over the last two weeks before I decided to purchase this Swann camera set it was the best decision I have ever made the setup was very easy and the picture comes out crystal clear I love that I can use my smartphone to monitor my cameras at any time the night view is awesome
