Q: how many hours of video will this record with all 4 cameras?
A: That depends upon the resolution you set and whether you have continuous record or only capture motion events. In my case, I have continuous record at night (6:00pm - 6:00 am) and use motion detection during the day. I have the resolution set at 1080p ... The recorder keeps 2 weeks history with these settings. I had originally set recording for 24 hr motion only ... with that setting I retained 4 weeks history.

Q: Does this model have motion alerts?
A: Yes, the cameras in the system have motion detection.
A: This camera system as a downloadable app for Android and iPhone you can also view video feed from a PC it doesn't take much to set the system up I had mine up and running in less than a half hour. It took longer to wire up the cameras related to set up the NVR system.
A: The 100ft cables for each camera are the size of the standard RCA video/audio cable in thickness. It's the same with the exception of the video connector which has a BNC twist lock and the audio cable which is a male to female connector.
A: My unit has an ethernet port which recognizes my internet connection. It appears that you need to establish an account with Swann to use the SwannView app on any of your mobile devices. I don't want an outside party to have access so I don't use the app.
Q: Is this weather proof? Will it be okay outside in the rain and temperature up to 100-110 degrees?
A: Yes it would be fine up to 110. Mfg says they are stable up to 122 degrees. If possible shield them from sun to help extend their life
