it scans the parking lot at my apartment and makes me feel safe

First security cameras I ever purchase,wasnt sure...too many to choose from,was afraid they were going to be a pain to set them up,these system is so easy,as easy as hook them up and plug them in and follow every step the program will guide you,only one cable per camera so you dont have to worry about another cable to power them up,60ft long..enough for my home,got two with the system and bought an extra camera,hardest thing with this cameras was going up the attic and get that cable through,one camera is right next to my yard gatedoor,other on my backyard and one more front my home looking toward my front door,view in this cameras are awesome,night vision is so clear,pretty impressive for the price,love to check my cameras everyday and see what it record,great addition to my already home security system!!

I purchased this camera system on a deal of the day special. For that price, it is totally worth it (anything else, maybe not so much). If you do it yourself, it does take some work and handiness - I spent half a day running wires through the attic and walls to my main TV in the living room because there was no way I was going to let cords just hang out around the ceiling to outside cameras. The package does come with this "installation card" but upon calling, it was still going to be around $300 to get it done by their suggested company. If you purchase, the FIRST thing you want to do before anything else, is plug everything is and make sure it all works. I did this for both cameras and they worked fine, but after installing, I found out that the 60ft cord that I had not tried out was faulty... and had to wait for Swann to send me a brand new one after calling. Once installed though, it works quite well. I've only had one other issue since and that was the DVR not recognizing the hard drive anymore (so I took the DVR back to Best Buy where they were able to switch it out for me, which was a much quicker option than sending it back to Swann to have them repair and send it back). The cameras work well and the night vision is pretty good for just keeping and eye on things. The DVR is good at keeping track of movement and recording if you have it set up to do so. The Swann View Link App is pretty easy to use, just scan the QR code on top of the DVR and you're pretty much ready to go. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to make it send myself emails when the cameras are triggered by movement (by I think it's Google that won't let the DVR access the email account I created specifically for this camera system). Otherwise, I'm pretty satisfied with the purchase.

I really like this because I can watch it from anywhere on my cell phone. One of the cameras went to black and white and not color anymore but you can still see everything in detail. easy set up

System was fairly easy to set up. The camera's do not pick up motion over about 30 feet. The camera's are sensitive to light changes, such as head lights turning near by, lightning, trees moving between street lights and camera's. Some adjustments to area sensitivity can be set up. Picture is not very clear. Large fixtures appear clear but to clearly make out details on a face, not unless it is natural day light and only about 15 feet away or less. Currently been running three cameras for three weeks and still lots of space to continue recording. Worst thing about cameras ... Bugs! Bugs fly up to camera and it causes it to record. Seems they are attracted to it. The camera's are a deterrent and at night they are noticeable because the red glow.

I think the cameras have great quality. It is harder to use the cameras outside because of the wires. If you have a way to run the wires outside, this is a great system and I highly recommend it. It was also really easy to install.

The quality of the video from this system is awesome! I would recommend that the options in the set-up menu be expanded. I have peace of mind knowing that my home and vehicles are a little more secure.

I bought this system cause it was cheaper than others out there, but still included 2 really good cameras. Both have a wide/long range even at night. Everything was very easy to set up. The only difficulty we had was running the wires from the first floor computer room through the ceiing, into the attic and then outside to be able to mount the 2 cameras out of reach and on opposite ends of the house. Had to drill a few holes. The wiring for the cameras are cheap. They broke on us twice while trying to feed them through the ceiling. Had to splice & tape them together again. Luckily they still work. The motion detection works great, but is a bit sensitive as everyone has said. I have not yet hooked it up to the internet to test the remote viewing. Going to do that soon. Overall though, this Swann system is a pretty good little security system. Hopefully just the sight of the cameras will keep ppl from attempting to break into our cars or anything else on our property. So far so good for the couple months we have been using it.

Great security cameras with recorder. Like being able to see remotely on phone and computer. Clear pictures, both day and night. We have 4 cameras and we are able to see all 4 on same screen at one time. Have tried other systems, but these have much better pictures, day and night.

Camera is not too bad to install. during the day the picture has great color. At night it has night vision. Hard figuring out the zooming except when using the zoom on the cord. Cameras go outside but cords are too large to go through window area. Have to drill holes in siding or soffit to install.

Sales personnel at Chapel Hill were not that helpful, When I went to Belden Store associates knew what was going on. Purchased there. Any info I received there was accurate more of less. Info I got direct from Swann was not!!! Swann stated everything could be set from remote access. Was easy to install. Both this was BS. Took 3 weeks to install, remote access was pain to set up. Could not set date, time and password from remote access. Could not change some default settings, Every time I called Swann story changed. After installed, works great and is good system. Still occasionally working out bugs. Though had issues. Best system I found for money. Swann could have designed better for installation and set up.

Seems like an adequate unit. cameras present a clear image. Play back is easy to review.

Great video camera nice and easy to install i recommend so far no problems

Within hours I was amazed what people where doing around my home.

Nice capacity hard drive on this system. Only problem I had was that the HDMI output was not working and I had to use the VGA output. There may be a way to change this in the settings, but you have to use the VGA first to alter the setting.

Got this to monitor driveway and yard because the cameras are weatherproof. Wireless setup would have been a little easier, but this wasn't bad. Had to drill through ceiling into attic to run wiring from DVR to cameras, but that was the hardest part. Has IR night vision and can be setup with motion detection recording and notifications by email.

I would definitely recommend the SWANN surveillance indoor/outdoor cameras for the home. Is quite affordable, Video quality is nice and clear and has color during light hours with zoom abilities. Your home is also easily accessible remotely through your phone or tablet Apps. Love this system, just wish it didn't have so many wires. Maybe one day.

This camera works very well for a no frills system. Allows you to view on smart phones and refreshes quickly.
