Purchased the Swann Enforcer 4-Channel Security System and it has worked great. The design is sleek and modern without being too noticeable. We were able to set them up on each entry point to the house with no issue. The app and central monitoring is a great feature to this product. They haven't experienced any inclement weather yet, but are holding up well! Highly recommend this product.

    Swann Security For Garage

I got this security system to keep an eye on my garage and my stuff in it. This is the first wireless system I have used and I did't want to have to cut holes and run wires. Aside from the instructions not telling me I needed a small 3/16" drill bit for the sheetrock anchors...the install was fairly easy. I also tried to scan the QR code on the instructions to pair the device...but then realized it needed the QR code ON THE DEVICE that connects to the router..it was a piece of cake. The image from the camera popped up quickly and the only thing I had to figure out was how to put the camera right way up (the original image was upside down). For that I just loosened the screws on the unit and spun it around. Connected to my app quickly too. All in all, I am happy with the ease of install in general and vs a wired unit.

The Swann Enforcer 4-Channel/Camera Security System is everything and more than I expected in a home surveillance system especially for the price. The camera's are quality and seem to be heavy duty. The package includes everything you need to set up with mounting brackets and clear instructions. With a little know-how, we were able to set up the system in a day and was able to experience the quality of the cameras in both day time and at night. Looking to buy a second one for our cabin! Highly recommend if you are looking to feel more secure in your home!

These are great! Photo attach is late at night so you can see how clear they are at night. App is easy to use. Playback is easy to access. I used Best Buy Total Tech installation and I should have used a professional security installer. Left huge wholes in my walls and cords everywhere so not happy with installation on my brand new house by Best Buy but 100% happy with the actual product. Oh and the sirens and flashing lights are fun to play a joke on your older children when they come home late at night!!! Haha

We just got a dog that we have been leaving out around the house while my family is out for school/work. This and the fact that my sons are at the age where we can leave them home alone, but mom and dad are still nervous during this transition, had us looking at security cameras. We already have a home security system, but we thought it would be nice to be able to see more parts of our home. I was a little worried about the setup process. I have heard so many horrible stories about trying to setup security systems. I was hoping that it being a wireless system would make it a bit easier, and I was not wrong. Complete setup took less than an hour, and most of it was just finding the optimum spot for each camera and tweaking the angle. You get everything you need to install the system in the box. The little hub that you use to connect all 4 cameras and get them online is small. I had pictured something along the lines of those large DVD players from back in the day. This little box is just a bit larger than my cable modem, and can be easily tucked away. The initial process setting up the software wasn’t too bad, but I had expected I would be able to do everything on my smartphone, instead you use the included mouse to maneuver through the setup screens. After I had everything online and changed the resolution from 1080p to 4k, I went to install the app on my iOS devices. Once again, the pairing process to get my iOS devices to see my cameras was a breeze. Video quality is great, very impressed with the image whether I am viewing it on my TV at home, or on my portable devices out of the house. It saves little recording when it detects motion, and can send your phone notifications when it detects something. There are so many little tweaks you can make when it comes to notifications and recordings. You can even pull recordings off the hub and copy it to a flash drive if you needed it. The connection is also solid, Every time I load up the app, it take a couple of seconds for all 4 cameras to pop up and show the image. The night vision is also great, and while you can’t really see color in night mode, the rest of the image is very sharp. I can easily recommend this setup. It was super easy to install and get up and running. The image is amazing and the signal is steady. That and the fact that you don’t need to run wires all over the house, make this an easy way to add some cameras to your home whether it’s outside or inside.

System wasnt bad to install but wifi signal was horrible. I had one camera out of the 4 that showed any bars of signal swapped out antennas still no signals. My farthest camera was the only one with good signal. Investigated found wires on camera side of antenna plug not connected. Repaired them all myself since obviously i couldnt rely on manufacturer to do it correctly. Attached wires and now have 2 to 3 bars on all 4 cameras.

      Hello Swellmel1,

Thank you for reaching out to us and sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your most recent experience with our Swann - Enforcer 4-Channel, 4-Camera 4K WiFi 1TB NVR Security Surveillance System. The Wi-Fi range can be up to 65ft / 20m but the Wi-Fi signal can be reduced by many things around the home. Take into consideration the number of walls the Wi-Fi signal must pass through and their construction. The more solid the building material or the more metal the signal must pass through the more impact it has on the Wi-Fi signal. Also, take note of electrical equipment and other appliances that may affect the Wi-Fi signal. Some experimentation with locations may be required to get the optimal signal, check the signal strength in the app to give you a guide on the most suitable placement options. Since these cameras will operate over Wi-Fi, it is important that your camera be placed in an area where the connection is not likely to be interrupted. Please contact a member of our technical support team with your Internet upload and download speeds. This will help us troubleshoot and diagnose the issue is you are currently experiencing. Let me start of by saying that I am a fan of Swann Security Enforcer Camera Systems, and currently own the Swann Enforcer Indoor/Outdoor 4K Wired system that originally won my heart and had me switch over to wired from wireless, and that system has yet to let me down. It has been performing without any issues for a year now but unfortunately, I can’t say the same about this wireless system. I ran into a couple of issues with my security system. My first and most important issue was the wireless signal. The wireless cameras had a hard time getting and maintaining a signal, even though the cameras were placed only 10 to 15 feet away from the router. The NVR was hardwired to my router, all updates were performed, and channels were changed in the NVR and just to make sure I covered everything on my end, I performed a factory reset on the unit and installed everything again and still ran into the same issue. My internet was not an issue because my router and modem were performing just fine, I have 1200 MBPS download and 40 MBPS upload. It is a possibility that I just happen to come across a bad unit, which does happen from time to time but based on what I had received, I am disappointed. Setup and Unboxing- In the box you will receive 4 - 4K UHD Wireless cameras, NVR – Network Video Recorder, 4 power supply for the cameras, 1 power supply for the NVR, HDMI cable, Ethernet Cable, and 4 Power cable extensions for the cameras. The setup process was very simple. Connect the HDMI, power and ethernet cable to the NVR and power it on. The unit takes about a minute to boot up and will have you setup your password and email address for alerts and password recovery. After that you will setup your WIFI information for the cameras and at this point you are pretty much ready to go. You can download the Swann Security app, now this is where I ran into my second issue. Even though my DVR and NVR both integrated seamlessly into one display, whenever I switched the wireless cameras to HD resolution on my phone, the display for that camera would just turn white and stay that way until you restarted the application. 4K AI Camera- The resolution of the camera on my 4K monitor was nothing short amazing. The picture quality was crisp and clear even when you zoomed in. The camera was able to pick up people and pick up faces. The cameras also have a spot light, red and blue lights, and a speaker that can you speak thru. NVR- The NVR system is quite modest in size compared to a DVR. Its measures roughly about 8 in. by 5 in. It offers an HDMI, LAN input, Two USB inputs, and a Micro SD slot. Overall, this unit has great potential if you put aside the issues that I encountered. I will say again that I truly love my wired unit, but at this point in time I cannot recommend this unit. ***The reason for the 3 stars is for its features and the camera and display quality***

Over the past few weeks, I have been using the Swann Wire-free Enforcer camera security system. The initial setup was easy to follow and the included mouse is handy for navigating the system and on-screen keyboard. The cameras look nice and blend well with their surroundings but also have enough of a presence to act as a deterrent, including a spotlight, siren, and red/blue lights to activate when needed. You are also able to use two-way communication though the companion app on your smartphone. The companion app is just okay, it would be great if you could manage more settings than the one's only affecting your phone, not allowing for system-wide changes in the system's operation. Those changes can only be made on the NVR hub. The wireless range is a little short, the only thing that really keeps this system from achieving a five-star rating from me, and the range is spotty at best. I have two cameras operating at all times to cover my front door on my first floor and the back door on the second floor. I attempted to set up the other two cameras in meaningful spots, especially over a recent out of state trip, one was able to maintain a constant connection when it was by our front/lower window facing in, but not facing out. The other, placed at the top of a spiral staircase, was able to maintain a connection if held but not if secured to the bottom of a stair to look over the entire first floor. This was a shame because the staircase camera kept sending emails (a setting that can only be changed on the main recording unit, NOT the app) about the camera losing connection constantly after we had flown out. Overall, once you find the sweet spot placement for the cameras and the recording unit, the system works great and looks very modern and subtle in the room! I may only recommend this this system for those in smaller, singe floor homes, but if you're willing to move the cameras around and potentially settle on locations that are slightly different from what you may prefer, its a very nice system with a very convenient mobile app!

I have a wired Swann security system for my house's the outside perimeter, and I am satisfied with that product. I wanted this another security system for indoor use, and I didn’t want to run wires inside the house, so I got this Swann wireless system. The only wire required is the power cable connected to any wall outlet, which is acceptable for my use and solves running wires throughout the house. It doesn’t need to be wired connected to the NVR device/unit. Each camera has its own power cord and comes with the option of a cord extension. My installation was straightforward. Test the entire system that works properly before securing cameras to a wall. When all looks good, connect the NVR to a router (Wi-Fi or Ethernet), HDMI to TV, optical mouse, and lastly, the unit power connection. Once all is turned on, you will see the cameras on the TV screen, and the startup wizard guides the final setups. I had no issue completing my setting up of the system, and I am satisfied with the quality of the images and the sound. I like the feature to view and save the recording from the 1 TB local drive or the cloud. The motion detection and active zone work as expected, recording important actions and not wind/gust on moving trees. Overall, I am satisfied with this wireless security system. I recommended it for those who want self-installation without running complicated wires on the attics or all over the premise.

Swann - Enforcer™ 4-Channel, 4-Camera Indoor/Outdoor 4K UHD Wireless Wi-Fi NVR Security Surveillance System w/ 1 TB HDD The Swann Enforcer is a decent system for the price. The WiFi between the cameras and the NVR will be your biggest challenge to make sure you can get a signal to where you want your cameras placed. Where you put the NVR is part of the determination for the WiFi signal to your camera since the cameras hook to this device with its internal WiFi not your home WiFi. The second challenge is finding a place to plug the power brick in for the cameras. These power bricks don’t really give me a feeling of confidence that they are waterproof. The bricks look like your typical one for a router or other electrical device. (See attached Picture) I would definitely recommend putting the power bricks on the inside, so yea, you are either going to do some drilling or put in a weatherproof box for the electrical connection. That said, it is still easier for most to do this than, say, run a POE cable from NAS to cameras that most systems require. Of course, there are total wireless WiFi based systems out there, but you have limitations on these, so you don’t eat up all the power. I had an initial problem when I set up my system as one of the cameras was defective and would have no bars, and would lose connection even if it was right next to the NVR. After this unit was replaced, I observed an interesting detail. When the defective camera was part of the system, the entire WiFi of the system was degraded by almost half strength. The picture quality is good on a 4K monitor or TV. Through the setup, you can select a 3840x2160 resolution, and the picture is nice and crisp, but when you zoom in, you would never know this was 4K. I have a 2K system that has a clearer frame capture and zoom in on faces/objects than this 4K system. I would conclude that a future software fix could address this. Speaking of software the App for Android is missing a lot of features that require you to do setup on the NVR for a lot of the AI and camera settings. I was disappointed that the Phone App was missing these features. Hopefully the phone App will be improved in the near future. You load videos into dropbox as they have an interface in the software. I am still addressing setting up the AI for people. The camera alert at night thinks my neighbor’s porch lights are humans because the cameras see this as a kind of ghost human shape. The cameras will also think cars are humans but that may be because it can see the drivers face. The thumbnails it sends to your email show what the camera was zooming in on to detect the trigger. If it is setup to detect a vehicle even if the vehicle hasn’t moved since it is a vehicle in the picture it continues to set up an alert for it – this is annoying and you cant set up an alert for just people. I have the NVR set up to a 65in 4K TV and having a wired mouse makes this a pain to do anything with the NVR software. A Nice wireless mouse setup would be nice. Plus to increase range a external connector for an external high gain antenna would be helpful. You can help out the cameras on the edge of WiFi connectivity with swapping out the antenna on them with a 10dBi antenna just be aware the size is probably 3 x the size of the current antenna. The Swann computer program at this point recognizes the system but can’t do any more than that. Using some computer software would be a nice add. A WiFi mesh-network would be ideal for these kinds of systems. I pointed out several improvement areas for this system but I still feel for the price the system can be useful to a lot of users if the WiFi range is adequate for them.

CCTV Command Center feel in a Home Wifi System

I recently received my Swann Enforcer 4-Channel, 4-Camera Indoor/Outdoor 4K UHD Wireless Wi-Fi NVR Security Surveillance System w/ 1 TB HDD and couldn’t be happier with the system. It’s considered a “wireless” setup as the cameras do run on your WiFi network; however, the cameras need to be wired for power. So they need to be setup with access to an outlet or wired in directly, I chose the outlet option and used the extension cords on a couple cameras. Unboxing & Set Up – In the box is the NVR base unit which includes an ethernet, power and HDMI cables, a USB mouse, 4 cameras, 4 power cords with extensions and the setup instructions. Everything is well packaged, and the instructions are broken down into setting up the hardware and installing the system. They are well thought out and provide a step-by-step install process. As the cameras use WiFi to connect to the base system, good planning for location of the cameras and/or WiFi extenders is a must when setting things up. I have a mesh WiFi system that is placed strategically around our home and it supports all 4 cameras well. Once the NVR base was connected to power, the network and 4K TV, the setup process is done on the TV screen. This is when the included mouse comes in handy! There is a step-by-step onscreen setup process to follow for setting up users, cameras, etc. It took a bit of getting use to as I haven’t used a mouse in years. After the NVR setup was complete, I plugged in a couple cameras to test everything out before permanently installing them. The cameras were automatically recognized and added to the system, very easy! I really like the layout of the system on our 65” 4K TV. It’s essentially a CCTV system that monitors your property and provides a “command center” feel. From the main screen you can add and remove users and cameras and adjust pretty much every available setting. Swann Security App – Swann provides an app as well for running the system remotely. It was easily downloaded onto my iPhone, but this is when I personally ran into a bit of a snag in setting it up. You have to setup an account with Swann through the app which askes for a username and password. When setup, in order to connect to the system, you have to scan the QR Code and use your log in information to connect. My camera kept snapping photos that didn’t seem to capture the QR code and I couldn’t get the app to connect. I tried using my app and system username/password combinations multiple times with no luck. It wasn’t until I tried using “admin” as the username that is finally connected the two systems…this could be considered “user error” but it’s a bit misleading as the NVR and app both require a username/password to be created (email as username). The app is feature-rich and provides full control over the cameras and NVR base. Performance – The 4K resolution is evident immediately versus some of the other systems I’ve used in the past. Images are crisp and clear and it makes for easy identification of people, cars, etc. As mentioned there is an abundance of camera settings including flashing lights, two-way audio, siren, LED night lights, digital zoom, heat sensors, etc. It can take a little bit of time to set the cameras up accordingly depending on location and potential for movement by trees, passing traffic, etc. Pros: - Video quality – the 4K output is noticeable compared to other systems I have used. - Ability to connect multiple wifi cameras across your home boith internally or externally. - Great build quality and modern, minimalistic design on the NVR system and cameras. - Swann App – provides remote access and total control of the Swann system from anywhere - Features – cameras have so many setting options allowing customization for any setting - 1TB HDD in the NVR system – no need for a monthly paid service - Support for Alexa, Google and Dropbox (for cloud storage) Cons: - It can be a bit of a challenge connecting the power cords depending on location of camera - The provided NVR power and ethernet cords are a bit on the short side (minor complaint) - Bit of a challenge connecting the Swann Security App to the NVR system - Lack of a base/stand for internal camera use (must be screwed to something) Overall the Swann Enforcer Security System performs exactly as advertised. The feature-rich system will perform well for anyone looking to protect their home and property. This is a system I would recommend to any home owner.

      Hello staywithme88,

Thank you for reaching out to us and sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your most recent experience with our Swann - Enforcer 4-Channel, 4-Camera 4K WiFi 1TB NVR Security Surveillance System w/ Human, Vehicle & Sound Detection. The camera has 3 different settings for streaming quality; low, medium, and high. If you are having problems streaming you can lower the settings and test to see if it improves. Note that lowering the stream settings does not affect the quality of the recordings. If you have very fast upload speeds you can set your camera to high, but if your upload speed is not that good then we recommend you use medium or low for the streaming setting. If you have not already, please reach out to a member of our 24-hour support team and see how we can further assist. In the world of home security and surveillance, Swann has definitely made its mark with this Enforcer series 4k WiFi camera and hard drive system. Now first to note, is that while these cameras are WiFi, they do not have batteries so they must be plugged in to a wall outlet for power. This camera system is loaded with features. The cameras have a mic and speaker, red and blue lights, and a white spotlight. They are equipped with night vision and have a very sturdy base mount and arm. Each camera has an attached WiFi antenna and a 40ft power extension cord that can be unplugged and plugged in easy. The cameras mount up easily and have 3 mounting holes. the arm needs a screwdriver to be adjusted but it is very easy. Setting up the hard drive and network is very simple. I would have the hard drive/base in a good location that you can set up and monitor/tv to watch the camera feeds and also close to your internet modem/router so you can plug in directly through the Ethernet cable. It should also be fairly centralized in the middle of all of your cameras so it is about an equal length away from all the cameras. The range is really good but I just find that the best. The system does come with a mouse to plug into the hard drive so that you are able to navigate all the settings for the cameras. You are able to adjust recording options, flood light options, emergency red and blue lights and siren and when those go off, watch specific cameras or watch them all at once. There are many more smaller customizable options. The recording quality is amazing, but I feel is degraded a bit over the WiFi. I have my cameras on a 1gbps network and I feel that a slower network, probably under 100mbps will see a more degraded quality. Either way the clarity is amazing and you are able to make out so much detail. I have had a bit of trouble with mounting location and lighting situations that degrade the quality of the video sometimes but that is not the cameras fault. Overall, it is hard to be dissatisfied with this Swann Enforcer system. Its excellent recording, installation ease, and playback are all amazing and worth its cost. The only thing I would recommend is getting locking outlet covers if you are using the cameras outdoors so the cameras can't be easily unplugged or disabled.

Let me start off by telling you this is a good security camera kit. While it is not totally wire free. It has everything you need to record all four corners of your property. And it records everything in house (1tb hard drive NVR) without needing subscriptions to avoid recording time limits or cool down periods other brands require. Above average day and night recording and very minimal false alarms. Options for phone and email notifications. Even has lights (illumination and flashing) plus sirens if you need them. While everything is included (4 cameras/ 4 plugs/ 4 extension cord/ 1 DVR/NVR base station). You will need 120v outlets (power) within about 40ft of where you want these cameras mounted. Swann has generously included 4 - 40ft extensions that fit through a drilled hole about as thick as a pencil. If you can solve the power requirement. The second obstacle might be the construction materials of your house. My house is a 60's ranch with brick and thick plaster walls. While I get good Wi-Fi throughout the house/property and basement. The far side of the house was too far to get a reliable connection for 2 of the four cameras. The other two that are less than 20ft from base/router also show minimal connection. Bottom line - Be ready to have the latest Mesh Wi-Fi or latest WiFi-6 router for best connection. Possibly the cameras need better antennas for best connection. As for the video quality claims on the box. This is where I am confused. I even called tech support to make sure the settings I was using are correct. And with confirmation all settings were 4K max resolution. I was a bit let down. With cameras mounted to the eve's at about 9-10ft above the ground. I cannot make out faces or license plates unless within about 15-20ft of the cameras. While this may not be a deal breaker for homes, it could be for a business. Don't get me wrong. The image is very good and covers a large area of my property. But forget zooming in on subjects to identify plates and faces (pictures included, wife's car parked by mailbox for video quality test). And the same for color and full night vision. You will see the object, only cars will be identifiable. The last issue is the app. I have tried and still use many other camera brands. The Swann Android app (did not try Apple app) is a little slow when checking in on alerts. The app alerts are quick when action happens. Yet, the alert does not show a preview. And when you go into the app from the notification. It defaults to live view. Then you have to select playback tab. Then since it always says, "Fetching clips from your DVR/NVR please wait...". You have to slide the screen down to refresh. If that worked on the first try, then you have to choose the file/time of the event that occurred you want to see. STILL no preview of the clip. And many clips don't load on the 1st/2nd try. While the app may need some tweaking. It does let you see the recorded event and live views anywhere you are once you jump through a few hoops. Ultimately, this Swann Enforcer Kit is a good kit with good image quality minimal false alerts and fairly easy setup. I think if you are covering the front entry or smaller patios. This system will be very good choice for an always powered camera. Just know, faces and license plates at a distance might be more difficult for these cameras. It will alert on those distance targets, just not always laser focused.

I have the nvr hardwired into my router. No option of changing what network each camera is connected to. Resolution is 1080 and not 4k like advertised. Also these cameras are not 180 degree view, I would say maybe 120.. Simple install and a cool feature is to be able to either turn a white spot light or the strobing red and blue. App is easy to navigate as well

I love this hybrid wi-fi security system. I say "hybrid' because it does work like some traditional security systems where it records footage back to the main "hub" or NVR unit. But it does not use ethernet or BNC cables to make the connection; that part is where the wi-fi comes in - it sends the audio and video signals via your home or business ISP wi-fi. Yes, you do need an accessible power outlet for each camera to power them, they are not battery-powered nor is this system advertised as such. A battery-powered system is convenient in that it does not need any wires, but they also have their limitations, such as not being able to record continuously and wouldn't have all the advanced features this unit has. Aside from the obvious need to charge each battery camera every 3-6 months. The clarity of the 4K video is great, it helps me see much more detail than 1080p. Most of the settings/camera adjustments will need to be done via your NVR interface on your monitor, although you can make a lot of camera adjustments, such as motion sensitivity, video quality, person and sound detection, amount of time the light stays on once an motion is detected, and a bunch of other stuff. I can see detailed history on the NVR, and I can see all the alert notifications and view the captured motion on the app. I have a really fast wi-fi connection, both download and upload speed and would recommend at least a 150mbps plan to ensure good performance. After all, you are streaming four 4K video signals continuously, aside from all your other devices you have in your home - TVs, phones, computers, tablets, etc. I highly recommend this system for anyone who wants a robust but reasonably-priced security system.

I really like the quality of the video image. BUT! I highly encourage install on a wall and NOT upside down on the eave of a house. The camera mount does not allow to rotate the camera past 180 degrees without minor disassembly and your picture will be upside down. I expected there would be a camera setting to allow inverting the picture in the setup software/app. But no, nothing, even though the owners manual indicated so. I wasted several hours looking through online support and waiting for phone support. I finally gave up and manually repositioned the cameras myself.

Full Featured WiFi NVR Camera System

I own several brands of WiFi cameras which are wonderful for home security and remote household monitoring. These systems record briefly when motion is detected but to record constantly these systems require an expensive monthly cloud based recording subscription. On the other hand I have used a NVR (network video recorder) based camera surveillance system at work for many years. A NVR system records all the action nonstop on a hard drive for later reference but uses wired cameras. While I’ve considered a NVR camera system for home use I was tuned off by the prospect of running cables throughout my home to multiple cameras just so I could have an nonstop on-site recording solution. I was thrilled to learn that Swann was offering camera system that blends the best of both of these options with the Swann Enforce 4-Channel, 4- camera indoor outdoor Wi-Fi NVR security surveillance system. I was quite excited to try a WiFi NVR system. Unboxing revealed 2 interior boxes. The first box contained the NVR and the second box contained the 4 wireless cameras. Inside you’ll also find 5 power adapters, 4 forty foot camera power cables, an HDMI cable, a mouse, an ethernet cable, camera mounting screws, and some manuals and Swann security stickers. My first impression on the NVR was that of being pleasantly surprised. I expected a boxlike piece of equipment and instead the NVR was a sleek white tower like device which would blend nicely into home furnishings. My first impression of the cameras on the other hand was one of disappointment. The cameras are very well made and have a substantial and quality feel to them but really aren’t particularly attractive. While it seems that Swann designed the NVR to fit stylishly into your home they made no such consideration for the cameras. They look like commercial surveillance cameras. Remember these are indoor outdoor cameras but I would never mount one inside my home. What a design disappointment. I next moved on to setup as I was eager to see these cameras in action. I referenced the 3 part manuals included in the box. You start with the NVR hardware setup which was a breeze. You simply connect the NVR to a tv or monitor with the HDMI cable. Connect it to the internet using the included ethernet cable and connect the included mouse. Next you attach the power adapter and plug it in. As the NVR boots up you’re prompted with a setup wizard which involved setting a system password, setting the resolution, time zone, date format, and naming your device. You’re then prompted to get the Swann app to continue setup. You need to register an account then you can start adding your NVR to your account by simply scanning a QR code on the NVR. I then started setting up my cameras. The cameras are WiFi cameras but do require a power source so they are not entirely wireless. I decided to use all my cameras outside so I selected my camera placement and then ran the 40 foot power cable to them. As I powered cameras on they quickly appeared in the NVR. What a breeze. I then turned my attention to the NVR settings. I quickly felt familiar with the NVR since I have extensive experience using a commercial video surveillance system. The Swann Enforcer did not disappoint in that it has a full range of settings and options. I did notice that the system isn’t automatically setup to record constantly. Setting it up just required setting up a recording schedule. Here you are free to select when you want to record or not. You have 1TB of storage onboard the NVR for your recording needs. One option I found absent was geofencing which would disarm the system automatically when home. Maybe I’m just accustomed to this option from my other WiFi camera systems. I next checked the video quality. For a 4k system I was somewhat disappointed with the video quality. I will say the night vision is excellent. You can view live video on your NVR or remotely using the Swann app. The app is decent but I did experience some significant lag while viewing live view video. This was surprising considering I have a fast and rock solid internet connection. I must say the Swann Enforcer is a full featured surveillance security system options like 2 way audio, motion activated spotlight and siren, and even includes flashing red & blue lights to scare off intruders if need be. I did find the 2 way audio a disappointment as it was very laggy. One particularly interesting feature is the use of what Swann call True Detect which uses heat from people or vehicles to provide more reliable alerts. Pretty cool. Ultimately I would recommend the Swann Enforcer as a full featured WiFi NVR surveillance camera system with a few reservations and disappointments.

I recently purchased a new home and I wanted to install a security camera system. I was looking for a security system that was super easy to install by myself that was Wi-fi wireless system and needed to have super sharp cameras. What was really important to me was the ability to view the security cameras on my phone when I am away from the house After extensive research, I choose the Swann SecureAlert Wi-Fi NVR Security System. It has (4) 4k HD video cameras that give a wide-angle view that covered the outside of my house. The cameras have an antenna that makes them wireless, all you need to do is plug the power into the wall. I set up the NVR recorder to my big screen TV to view all 4 cameras. The setup was really easy and the camera video showed up on my TV screen with ease. I love the flashing red & blue lights along with a loud siren. I know it will defiantly scare off the bad guys. After setting up the system I loaded the Swann App. and was able to view the 4 cameras individually. It gives me so much comfort when I am away from my house and view the Swann App. on my phone and know everything is safe. Also, it is great to be able to see my dogs and happy to see that they are ok. I would highly recommend the Swann Wi-Fi NVR camera security system for your home.
