Overall a good security camera. The app has been reliable and video quality is sufficient. The range could be better and it would nice if code save video from all four cameras to Dropbox (only allows two).

Purchased 2 years ago. Very high quality cameras. Sometimes video will lag because of wifi, but since I've added a mesh wifi system its much improved. Love the app for remote viewing!

Good picture quality, works seamless, does exactly what you need, wish it could cover more distance

Received my 4-Channel, 4-Camera system and started to do setup per the instruction sheets included...numbered 1-2-3...very easy to follow. Please note that these cameras do not stand on their own and need to be wall mounted with screws...the only real issue I feel could be resolved by Swann if they would just add an optional base to the cameras. So many folks have no way to mount these to the wall or just don't want to. I personally mounted one inside my home and 3 outdoors under covered areas but would have been happier had I been able to just set the one indoor camera up on a shelf. This is a wireless unit (you do have to plug them into an electrical outlet however) so a good wi-fi signal is a must. The cameras do have mobility so you can angle different ways to suit your needs. After the installation was finished I can tell you the pictures are clear and superb! Night vision is crazy good! I did have an issue with one camera and contacted support! Oh my goodness! You couldn't ask for a better support team than Swann offers. Amazing help from Amado and the issue was resolved to my satisfaction. They also helped me with some settings to get my camera options the way I wanted...such as disabling the spotlights on one camera and so forth. I tried the picture quality on my 4K TV, my 1080p TV and a 720p TV. The 720p had some choppiness and not such great resolution, at least for me. The 1080p and 4K were virtually identical in my opinion so am using it on my 1080p TV and the pictures are perfect. You can also talk through the cameras and the audio was loud and clear on both ends. It has a 1TB storage drive as well. All in all I am VERY pleased with this entire system. As mentioned the only negative I found was I feel being wireless it could use a base to place the cameras on for those of us who would rather not mount to a wall. If you are in need of a surveillance setup I can highly recommend it and Swann will be there to help you through any issues you might have! Great product! Great company!

The cameras themselves are great, but the app on my phone makes it incredibly pointless, as it is so glitchy. You can view the cameras well on the TV. I get notifications on my phone about movement but never can get the playback video. The live view very rarely loads, as well.

Great camera system. Easy to set up. The picture quality is good. Had another Swann system that lasted for years, so it was easy to return to Swann again.

I acquired this SWANN Enforcer 4K UHD Wireless Security Surveillance System a couple of months ago because I was impressed with the stats of the product and almost felt it was too good to be true for a store-bought, consumer-installed system…. I was pleasantly surprised that it is a great system! My delay in installing was because I specifically got it for a secondary home in CA. We had intended to travel to CA sooner than this, but with COVID everything changes. Upon opening the box, I was impressed with how compact the system was and how neatly it fit into 2 medium-sized boxes. Upon inspection of the cameras, I was pleasantly surprised at how heavy they were and glad that they could be used indoors/outdoors, but dismayed that they only had mounting brackets that required them to be “screwed into” something vs also having a free-standing option. The NVR was very light-weight and this device is the ”control center” of the localized system. Impressed that it had 1TB of storage, which for our secondary home is great, because it could hold a year or more of video (…which I can access remotely…); so much better than another system I have that only uses flash micro drives that are definitely limited for long-term usage. My challenge is the WiFi. My home’s WiFi is okay, but the modem/router is located in the “back east corner” of my home (because that’s where Spectrum installed it a few years ago). Since the cameras need to be connected (…wired due to WiFi limitations, otherwise wireless in some locations was good….) to the NVR, and the NVR needs to be connected (wired) to the modem/router, I have a problem. Where I really need 1 camera is in the front, west corner of my home so we can see people coming up the walkway and/or onto the driveway. This is going to require drilling holes for the camera-to-NVR connection (…. and running line halfway across the house…) and electrical outlet (which I have none outside – everything is indoors and will require drilling holes through exterior walls to access an outlet in a bedroom … this is NOT good). I’m installing the system on a temporary basis since this is a 1972’s home and we’re about to start a complete renovation, which will also include some exterior work, but definitely adding “electrical boxes” outside and adding upgraded wiring throughout, along with improvements in the WiFi system overall. I did an easy setup to test the system by putting the NVR next to my WiFi modem/router and then directly connecting a single camera. After a little setup which was quite easy, I was up and running on a limited basis. The clarity of the video from these cameras is amazing! Crystal clear and high-definition. I pointed the camera out the rear window, and it was plain as day the full backyard to the far west corner! A huge plus having the 4K Ultra HD! Incredible. I like having a security system that I don’t have to pay an external service for …however …. Since this is a secondary home in a different state, having a paid-for service monitoring your home and contacting the police or fire (as appropriate) is a big sigh of relief. One less thing to worry about and continually monitoring on my side … I’m just too busy for that! So far I haven’t received any “false alarms” but it’s only been installed a few days while I’m here. I don’t know what will happen when we return to our “home state” and this system and home are operating on the own again. Overall, I think the SWANN Enforcer system is great, but time will tell after fully and correctly installed and using remotely from another state. Definitely impressed with the video quality being 4K Ultra HD. Also, I like the 4-camera system but from what I could find, it ONLY supports 4 cameras. It would be nice if 1-2 more cameras could be supported by the same system. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a compact, high-def system with lots of storage and capability.

Do not waste your money on these cameras, the whole system is junk. The control program is not user friendly at all, the signal to the cameras goes out all the time. The only plus I found with them is the picture quality. I bought a system from BB thinking I’d get something with at least a little quality, but these aren’t.

Huge upgrade from an old Lorex system I had for nine years. Easily pairs and connects to my wifi router. The app is consistent and I love getting updates of motion. If you are somewhat techy this should be suitable for you. Cameras have good range even through three walls to the receiver and the resolution is absolutely stunning. Only annoying thing is not being able to control the main receiver through the app and having to use the included optical mouse. Not a big deal but maybe something Swann should upgrade in the future.

This is a great, easy to use security system without requiring expensive monthly cloud fees. Starting with installation - it's not as simple as some, but it works, and it forces you to put some security on the system, which is a good thing. Installation consists of 14 steps (not including the APP installation and setup). the NVR comes with a wired mouse and a point-and-click virtual keyboard, which is a bit clunky to use. Otherwise. the instructions are clear and the steps are straightforward. The NVR can be connected to your router either via an Ethernet cable or WiFi, a nice touch that frees you from having to leave it physically close to the router. This is a good thing, as to really use this most effectively you need to have it connected via HDMI to a 4K television set (or at least an HD set). You can use the app once it's set up, but more on that later. The range from the NVR to the cameras was excellent. I have a three story, 3600 sf home and was able to place them almost anywhere on the property without losing the connection. Images and sound are both exceptional. The 4K Ultra really shows through; you can make out details easily. Sound is crystal clear, with conversations and other sounds easily audible, both live and during playback. Night vision allows full color images even in darkened settings, while the integrated light both helps with image quality and serves as a deterrent. Motion detection and alerts work great, and the heat sensing technology really reduces the number of false alarms. I have a lot of trees, and both the moving branches and shadows created by them set off other motion detectors, but the Swann was relatively error-free. Both the app and the direct connection to the NVR allow you to have a conversation so you can answer the door even if you're not actually home. You can also turn on the floodlight feature or activate blue and red flashing lights and sirens. This acts as another deterrent, an alert to neighbors, and makes it easier for emergency services to locate your house. Recording is great. The 1TB drive will record what Swann says is up to a year of video, and that feels conservative. Better yet, you can back up video (or the entire drive) to the cloud or to a USB drive for extra storage. You can contact Swann anonymously and still get support, which is a great privacy feature. Because the recordings don't leave your home, you don't have to worry about their servers being hacked or them responding to a law enforcement request, as they have nothing to provide. And now for the app. It's not horrible, but it could use improvement. The app demands that it be given access to my location services every time I start it. Why? It doesn't need this, yet it won't come up without it. The app is very slow to connect to the NVR and individual cameras. If you aren't connected at all times (which, given that it requires your location services, you definitely shouldn't be), it could be several minutes between when you receive a remote alert and when you are able to see what's going on. Overall, a really great audio / video security system. with exceptional video and audio, no cloud costs, and some great features.

ok so i am giving this a 2 star. our experience is not the best with this set. there are some nice things with the camera set. the quality is great. we have a 4k tv and looking at the cameras on that looks fantastic. i like that the camera has a blue and red flashing light so you can set to alarm or when you want to talk, it will flash so who ever you are going to talk to will know you are about to talk. it also has a light on it which is nice when dark and need light. they have night vision as well so if dark, you can still see. they were pretty easy to set up for the most part. however, we had issues with one camera and we had to keep trying to pair it over and over. also the range seems to not be that great at all. once set up. the cameras are no more then 25 feet away from the base and show 1 to 2 bars. oddly the camera that is the closest to the base and nothing between shows the 1 bar. that leads into why 2 stars. i debated on 2 or 3 stars. and mainly stuck with 2 because they do look great, but that was pretty much it. they are constantly cutting off from wifi. not sure if its the cameras or from the app. but either way, i will log into the app to look at the cameras and 1 might be working or 1 might not be working. and i have to close app and re open. the app is basic. you cant turn off a camera from the app. i have used a couple other cameras not from swann, and the app lets me turn off the cameras. i use a iphone and my wife uses a samsung phone. and neither of us can hear any sounds. i can use my phone to talk to someone, but i cant hear them talk back. my wife on the other hand cant even use her phone to talk. when she clicks the icon to talk, the lights flash but when she presses to talk nothings comes thru. and like i said, the range seems to be short. we even have a range extender. but we live in a apt and so we dont have long range to go. we wanted 3-4 cameras and thought this would be the best option so we could use 1 app to view the cameras. we thought we would be able to hear and be able to talk like it says you should be able to do. i hope they will update the app to work better. and if they do, then this might be a 4 star maybe 5. but not being able to hear, or not being able to turn off cameras if needed, from what i have used, this does not compete at the moment then. the video quality is great, and we like that we have 1 app that will show all the cameras. for now i dont recommend.

The Swann Enforcer NVW-800 is an excellent and more than capable 4 channel 4 camera 4K 1TB hybrid WiFi NVR security system. You will get features found in higher-end security cameras like facial recognition and thermal sensing within an affordable and easy-to-use hybrid semi-wireless system in this small package. The cameras themselves are indoor/outdoor wireless WiFi 4K UHD cameras with good sharpness and detail. There are no BNC connections as you go WiFi for video transmission and everything is recorded internally. Setup was pretty easy, with camera placement being the hardest part the hardest part. It's small footprint allows for hiding of the base station and seamless integration with any TV. Just find a TV or any display with an HDMI connection, power it on, connect the mouse, and start working on customizing things to your liking. The cameras are already paired so it was just a matter of plugging in. This has features for days and will be enough for most home users as well as small business users. You have to consider a PERMANENT mounting spot due to the lack of a quick-release mount or movable weighted base. Again, all these things can be overcome with creativity for some, but this will be a possible deal-breaker for others. For my 2,000 sqft home, this is more than enough range to cover me. I have front and back door covered and two levels inside my home. If you have a bigger property, you will need to get better gear or swap for higher power dB antennas. You can operate this base in wireless mode with no LAN connection to the router, or you can hardwire into the network. I believe the antennas should be more powerful because the connection can be spotty. There was an update to some of the equipment, and connectivity seems to have been improved. There is no battery backup for these either, so that is a huge downfall/weakness in security making it a single point of failure. You have to be smart about where you place power cords when exterior mounting so that intruders are unable to unplug. The requirement for power from an outlet can make things a little tricky but manageable. Image quality is excellent, and you have options to dial up to 4K UHD. More than enough for security. NOTABLES! - No bases/mounting for non-permanent locations like a kids room. -Challenging connecting the power cords depending on location of camera. 40ft cords are enough in most cases but… -Cameras have a view of 87 degrees -Needs wireless mouse rather than corded -App for Android TERRIBLE and crashes A LOT and pretty much useless for viewing old footage. The app for Apple provides best stability and overall experience with the most function. +Schedule continuous recording or use only the other triggers like motion and thermal to record +AI with Face Recognition to notify you if a person comes around and such. +The picture quality was crisp and clear even when you zoomed in. The camera was able to pick up people, faces, cars, and motion. The cameras also have a spotlight, red and blue lights, and a speaker that can you speak thru. +Google and Alexa Integration! "FAVORITE ASSISTANT, Show me …" +Space for days!!!! Two weeks and not even halfway on the system with 4 cameras! No subscription needed. +Controllable motion-activated sensor spotlights, Enforcer red & blue flashing lights, sirens & two-way audio. In short, the Swann Enforcer Security System is a feature-rich solution that will perform for any homeowner without cloud fees. It has good image quality, excellent wireless options, and features, with minimal false alerts that will provide peace of mind for any homeowner. It's a looker for sure!

Works well for my needs. Much better than my old cameras which were from other companies and included indoor as well as indoor/outdoor cameras. My indoor cameras still work well but have limited storage and the manufacturer keeps nagging me to pay for cloud storage. I don't want to pay a subscription fee for something I've already paid for. My older indoor/outdoor cameras were ok. They were truly wireless as the cameras ran on rechargeable batteries but it had only 2 cameras and one of them would run down the battery after 20 min or so. Plus you had to take them down to recharge and put them back up. Batteries only last for so long (even rechargeables) and it was a bit of a hassle. They also had no storage and required cloud storage which led to more nagging for a subscription fee. This one seems much better; you don't have to worry about batteries. True, you do have to plug them in but they include extension cords if needed. The connection to the hub is wireless. 4 cameras is perfect for me as I have 3 entrances upstairs and 1 basement. It has many more features than my older cameras (more than I expected) and great image quality. Easy to setup but you may want to allow some time to explore the options. The app is good too but has room for improvement. Sends alerts well which is the main concern. Still much better than my old cameras which kept nagging me for a subscription (just get a new system). Hopefully Swann won't do the same. Has 1 TB local storage which should be good for awhile. I like it so far. Reminds me of Tony Montanna watching his security cams (no coke though). 4k Works great when signal is at its best but changes between 1080 and 4k every few minutes

First off, the camera/base connection is wireless. The power is wired for the cameras. I just want that to be clear. You will need to have an outlet available to power the cameras. You do receive a very long extension for the power adapter for each camera. The base/NVR is well designed and does not look out of place in a office. It could easily be mistaken for a number of other HDMI devices on the market. The base has a HDMI, (2) USB ports ( for a mouse and keyboard or USB firmware updates), power ethernet, micro sd and a reset button on it. I highly recommend using the ethernet connection to your network. While the base can connect via Wi-Fi, I seem to have the cameras disconnect more often with the base on Wi-Fi. Cameras have a Y end to them, one side is the reset button and the other is the power connection. There is a mic/speaker on each camera that do an adequate job. The bae of the camera has 3 holes for attaching with screws to your selected mounting area. There are 3 screws that allow you to rotate the cameras angle to fit the desired direction you wish to monitor. The antenna is external and can be unscrewed/replaceable. The cameras have very bright LED lights and a red blue strobe for alerts/sirens. Oddly, or maybe not so odd, the camera orientation is fixed. If you mount it upside down, your video will be upside down. As for video, the night vision is fantastic. If the light is set to alert when motion is detected, it is quite bright and shows anything close enough to the camera in color. You will want to test this as objects outside of the lighted area are clearer when using night vision During daylight you get up to 4K resolution that is simply stunning, obviously it is most noticeable with a 4K monitor. If there is one thing that is lacking it is the Wi-Fi strength, the weaker the signal the greater the lag. As for configuration, this is a very high end recording system. The interface is not the cleanest, but it does make sense. If anything there is too much info. I would still like to see a more modern interface. I played around and found a web interface that will only run on older IE, Chrome pre 44 build and older Firefox. I could only get it running under IE and actually like that interface a little more than the one running on the base/NVR. I am hoping they make a app available for the PC. There are apps for both iPhone and Android. I would have liked to have a little more control from the app, but it gives the necessities. Connectivity, you can set the cameras up in Mesh networks or connecting to a AP, this helps some with the Wi-Fi strength but not as much as I hoped it would have. It seems like the mesh configuration does not always connect to the strongest signal. While I do not often see full strength on the cameras they all are staying connected and feeding excellent video back to the base. The first system update is a must, you probably should restart the system periodically. I did not get the first update until I restarted the system. I did have a chance to work with customer support, they were fantastic. It is nice to see some companies actually have support that know the products rather than someone reading from a script. Overall I think these are some of the better security cameras on the market. While the Wi-Fi is not the strongest and wired cameras would be more stable. The Wireless aspect makes setting them up much easier. While I could have dropped a star on these cameras, they have outperformed my expectations so much I can easily overlook some of the areas that need improved.

The Swann WiFi Enforcer System is a complete security system that I found had all the right features. I would say to be careful to choose this exact system as other systems including some Swann systems don’t have all the features I found to be necessary. Let’s start with the WiFi connection. Wired cameras are very hard to install unless you have an ability to easily access a basement or attic to run the signal wires. So that is most important. I have used a lot of battery powered cameras. Battery powered cameras create a very significant problem. Rechargeable batteries will get weaker over time and non-rechargeables mean a constant cost to buy new batteries. Most problematic is getting a ladder, removing the batteries and either replacing them or recharging them. Solar powered units help somewhat but my experience has been that eventually you have problems with weaker charging days or even weather disabling the solar power one way or another. This camera system uses 120 volt AC household current. There is some obstacles to getting the wired power to the camera, but once it is in, there is no need to get ladders anymore; you have a permanent and strong power source. Next on my list of positives is the design of these cameras to includes sirens, lights, night vision, 4K hi def, 2-way audio, heat and motion sensing and free recording to a 1 TB drive. This system has all the functions you need in a complete security camera system. The system components are indoor/outdoor except for the recording base unit. Hook up is very easy. I ran power to each unit, often just plugging into an outdoor outlet; for example on the front porch and back porch. However, I did mount a camera above the garage door and just had to run power through a hole in the siding which I easily sealed up. IN this case I installed a small shingled board to give the camera some added protection – although this was not really needed. You sync each unit to the base unit wirelessly – this is a great advantage so that your base unit can be inside preferably near your existing WiFi router. I connected the base unit using an ethernet cable to my home router. I could have connected the base unit via WiFi but I think wired connection is easy and best in this situation. What was nice is that everything worked right away, no finagling to make things work – great. I added the HDMI cable to my TV and all cameras came online and displayed on the screen. There are quite a few options you can select, but basically you have the ability to see all cameras or just one on your screen. Interesting that you can connect each camera via your house WiFi or just connect each camera wirelessly to the base unit. It does suggest that if you want to turn the base unit off, simply shutdown the system like you would a PC. In fact the TV will show your connection as a PC in the source selections. The unit comes with a mouse that attaches to the base unit for your navigation. Performance was superb. Clean and crisp color or black/white night vision. Now I have a system without monthly charges that records events from 4 positions around the house back and front and sides, and also provides security alerts via sirens, lights and recordings. I highly recommend this unit. The Swann engineers did a fantastic job on this system.
