I've been using the OLED Switch for a few months now. Switching from the TV to the console and the difference between the OLED Switch and the normal is astounding. Taking a game like breath of the wild when you're in the depths. A game that isn't really trying to be scary at all. When using the OLED switch I found the depths to be pretty suspenseful. You can see ALMOST nothing when trying to find the bulbs. Putting the two home screens from the OLED to normal you can immediately tell you're going to have a better experience. It certainly was in my case. The skin for this edition of the OLED is pretty cool! For essentially $20 more to the cost of the normal OLED is worth it in my opinion when you consider you don't have to worry about messing up your skins trying to put them on if you bought them from somewhere like Amazon. I've always bought a triforce case for my old switch a while ago. It was also $20. not to mention you get a skin for the front of the dock as well which looks AWESOME! So I'd say it's fine deal. One thing I found pretty weird was that the switch didn't come with the game. Normally when they laugh a special edition console it comes with the game? At least in every special edition console I've bought before. If you're on the fence about buying the game because of that. Don't be. ITS WORTH IT! Even at the price bump I'd call TOTK worth it. I do not mind paying more if the game is as good as that. (that could be rose tinted glasses as I have a lot of nostalgia for Zelda as it was my first game essentially) Overall I'm glad I upgraded. I'm only wishing I'd done it when the OLED launched so I couldve done my first playthrough of Dread on it.

I love my Switch OLED! The custom design on this model is beautiful. The larger screen has a nice, bright and clear image. The system runs very smoothly. Definitely worth it to upgrade.

A breathtaking design on top of an already great handheld console. OLED screen is beautiful and the Zelda themed parts are easily worth the extra $10

If you’re the person with an original Nintendo Switch, this is worth the grab for both the better screen, and the bigger battery. If you’ve already gotten an OLED, this may be something to pass up on since there’s not really anything different except the design itself. However, the design alone may make this purchase worth it for many. This is a special edition after all, and we don’t expect it to stay on the shelves for long. If you’re a fan of The Legend of Zelda, there is no doubt this is a Switch for you to get. Don’t wait on it, as we don’t know how long it’ll be available

The design is absolutely stunning! I upgraded my 2017 Switch to this, and its battery lasts longer, it has much better screen and it looks much cooler!

Initially with the first wave of the switch hype, I didn’t hop on board right away. Mainly this was because all my friends had got one, so I could mooch off of them. But then we all graduated and have gone our ways, so now I have no one’s switch to use for smash bros. After I saw the trailer for Tears of the kingdom, however, I knew I had to get one for myself. The performance is amazing, graphics look wonderful (especially on my tv), and the feel of it is just fantastic! I recommend this to anyone who has yet to hop on the switch train!

Love it has a build in kick stand that can actually hold it self up my original switch has a little stand that doesn’t keep the switch up it falls down lol I got this Zelda one for my husband who loves Zelda the Zelda switch feels better and the graphics are/seem clearer the design on the switch is cool the Zelda switch is oled my Mario switch doesn’t have any design just red but I love it had to buy a stand to hold it up cause my neck hurts after a while from looking down for a long time

1st up - The actual OLED Model itself. The screen is more vibrant and has more vivid colors than the previous models. The included dock also has an ethernet port so internet speeds are better for multiplayer games and downloads. 2nd - The actual design of this specific model: The green and gold pattern on the Joycons is an awesome touch, the front faceplate of the dock is also really well made. The small details of the Joycon UI appearing in games during the controller selection section is also really cool!

The bigger screen, with oled really makes a difference. The battery life is a bit longer. And of course the Zelda theme is beautiful!

As you can imagine, when I bought this "for my boyfriend" he was totally shocked! We had the first gen of the Nintendo Switch, and the picture quality and battery life is significantly better. This edition itself is stunning right out of the box! We've played this pretty much nonstop between the 2 of us since TotK released, and there is no sign of wear and tear whatsoever. It also serves as a bonus decor piece in the living room rather than some of our other platforms that are more of an eye sore.

I love this system. It works perfectly. I have seen some people have had trouble with there joy cons but mine work perfectly. The oled screens visials are amazing and gives me great visuals on zelda tears of the kingdom. I love that the joy cons are gold and have the pattern in green. It really helps this edition of the switches stand out and it looks a lot better than the pokemon edition or the older model or the plan white one. I love this system and have played it even more than my PS5.

This is an OLED version of the Nintendo Switch that has the Zelda ToTK theme. It is absolutely the best version to get as the colors stand out, but in a subtle way. The gold accent designs on the console are great and you can really see the difference and rich colors in game when in handheld mode with the OLED screen. Additional Pros: has an ethernet port for faster downloads and online gaming. Approximately 6 hours of gameplay in handheld mode. Improved kickstand

I told myself the OLED wasn't worth buying unless it was a Zelda Edition. Then lo and behold, Nintendo granted me my wish. Finally a Zelda themed Switch at my fingertips! I absolutely love the signature Gold that is plastered on the JoyCon with the TOTK design. The larger screen wasn't something I thought I'd appreciate but it definately makes playing it as a handheld much more enjoyable along with the louder speakers. I completely recommend for any Zelda fan. Even if your not a Zelda fan, the design looks amazing! Though others may feel differently about this but I was happy this wasn't a bundle that came with Tears of the Kingdom, since I had already preordered the game before hand. Getting this price for just the system itself was all I needed anyway. Transfering my files from one switch to another was easy though a tad bit time consuming. I guess my only complaint is that the Joycons run just like any other, that includes all the problems of drifting that may occur as any other Joycon. So it seems Nintendo still has to work on that. However, the beautiful design is still worth it.

This console is absolutely breathtaking! The gold is very classy and makes it a very nice piece of decor for my home. The OLED screen makes colors pop so much. I have always wanted a Zelda edition console, and I am super stoked this version came out. The box, the dock, the console, everything is perfection. I had to get a screen protector right away for the flawless screen. I was like, uh uh, I ain’t touching it without protection. Can’t afford any scratches or marks on this expensive item.

The OLED Switch but custom made for us Zelda fans! This version is awesome, I upgraded from a OLED Switch but this one surprised me in one way. They are functionally the same, but the design on the body of the Tears of the Kingdom special edition Switch here actually helps with the gripping of the console for me when I am playing in handheld mode, which is how I play Switch 98% of the time. Not a huge change from an OLED Switch otherwise and no real reason to upgrade from it, but if you do not have a OLED Switch, this is the best version you can get. As far as Switch as a whole, for todays gaming they are still great, has a great library and is one of my favorite consoles of all time if not the best. But they have been underpowered for a long time already and in 2025 its more apparent than ever with all the PC handhelds and Switch 2 available so don’t expect graphics on par with recent handhelds.

Extremely happy with this switch. First OLED I have owned and it’s exceeded my expectations, and I love the design.

I have been waiting for this release since the announcement for the OLED along with the sequel to BOTW. The Switch itself is gorgeous and on theme. Has that signature gold color and designs we’re familiar with throughout the series. The dock does have a few tweaks with it having a removable compared to the old model that was a flap. Also relocating the USB connections to the side of the dock instead of behind the flap. This is truly a must have for any Legend of Zelda fan!

As a collector who wanted a Zelda based console, it does everything a normal Switch OLED does, I am satifisfied. However if you are on the ledge about getting this model, or have a day 1 switch and want something Zelda. This is an awesome collectible. The pictures themselves will not do justice. The art and design is anything a Zelda fan would want. I hope this helps someone out.
