My girlfriend found this phone at another store and wanted to buy it. I found it at best buy for a cheaper price and it works great. The camera takes good pictures as well. It doesn't have much memory or come with a mini sd card so you would have to purchase your own. The leather feel of the back cover is nice too! Overall a great phone for the price.

This is a good basic smartphone. Gets the job done. For the screen size (5 inch) they should have provided at least 16GB Internal storage. Good for beginners or someone tight on budget.

The phone is very nice . It has like a leather back cover and it is perfect size. It does run a little slow at times but it not very often.

My wife bought this to replace her Nokia Windows Phone 510 (I think). So far, the phone has exceeded her expectations. The screen is large, and it's easy for her to operate. Plus, it does as expected. Battery life seems good, and Bluetooth connectivity to her car was a snap to set up. Overall, she is very pleased. She wasn't happy with all of the privacy snooping that Google Android and Android apps do, but that has nothing to do with the operation of the phone.

Great Phone For Phone Calls & Texting

The Samsung Galaxy On5 is a great phone for phone calls and texting. Voices are crystal clear with both Wi-Fi calling and with regular calls. Texting is fast and reliable. The On5 is almost exactly the same size and weight as the premium price flagship Samsung Galaxy S7, and to my eye, the On5 is better looking. The On5 provides phone call quality that is comparable to the most expensive phone from Samsung and Apple. The On5 has the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0 and has Samsung software that is useful for managing your apps and files. Its combination of 4g LTE and HSPA+42 provides fast data speeds, so it is easy to stream both Netflix and Spotify. T-Mobile does not count Netflix or Spotify against your data allowance, so you can watch Netflix as much as you like. The On5 uses Band 12, which provides a reliable connection inside large buildings and extends T-Mobile's signal in rural areas. The large five inch screen has natural colors with good contrast. The rear speaker is not overly loud, but voices are clear, so movies look great and sound good. The sound is even better with good headphones or bluetooth speakers. GPS navigation works smoothly, but the On5 is sometimes slow to locate a GPS signal. The front Selfie/Skype camera works well in bright lighting, with natural skin tones and good contrast. The rear 5 meg camera also takes good photos in bright lighting, with good color balance and contrast. Manual settings are available to dial in a brighter or darker photo, as you prefer. The photos from the rear camera lack fine detail, so they will not make good prints. However, they look terrific on your phone and good on a computer screen. The lack of fine details erases aging, so grandma looks ten years younger. Brightness is controlled by a slider that lets you dial in exactly the screen brightness you prefer. When you are outdoors you can check the "outdoors" brightness box for an ultra-bright screen. The battery will last from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. if you use your phone only for phone calls and texting. The Samsung Battery Saver app can extend battery life an extra 12 hours or so by turning off functions other than phone calls and texting. Playing games, watching videos, or using GPS will use up 30% of the battery charge in an hour. Samsung provides an great charger that will boost your battery from 20% to 80% in an hour if the screen is turned off. You can buy extra batteries for camping trips or as backups. The On5 handles basic games, such as Angry Birds or Temple Run very well. It lacks the processing power and memory to handle super challenging games, nor does the battery last long for game play. After the On5 updates its software and apps there is only a tiny 2gb of open storage space for apps and games. I installed a 32gb microSD card to store my photos, videos and music. A few apps, such as Netflix, can be moved to the microSD card and Spotify lets you store downloaded songs on the microSD card. That tiny 2gb of open storage is enough for most basic apps, but larger apps such as Facebook will use a huge chunk of that space. That means the On5 simply does not have room to install the largest games. The Galaxy On5 is the WRONG phone for people who play the largest and most demanding games. T-Mobile stores sell the terrific Incipio DualPro case for the On5. The case has dual layers and is tested with 12 foot drops. It is nice looking and surprisingly light for a "heavy duty" phone case.

After breaking my plan telephone with several payments still due, I decided to go prepaid. I like the ability to switch phones without the large sticker price or the 2 year contract. This phones is great, it has all the features that I need, is easy to use and most important it did not cost a fortune

Bought this phone to see how the T-Mobile network would work at my home. It was not for long term use. The on board memory is very small and even with the addition of a SD memory card it limited the use of it. I liked the T-Mobile service enough to invest in a full service with them and got a Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge... which I do like a lot. Would recommend for someone who just needed a basic phone.

This is a good phone for a good price. I'd totally buy it over the overpriced and over rated iphone. Save yourself 500 bucks and buy this phone instead. You can still use it to talk to other people just like the iphone, just for $500 cheaper.

This phone is great for a person who does not have to have a lot of bells and whistles on their phone. It gets the job done just as well as a Galaxy S7.

Bought this phone for my brother as his didn't have good emogies. I have samsung and love it. Got a different samsung for my mom and it worked good so decided to try this one. One of the main features he wanted was the ability to get more memory and this phone has the capacity. He had an opportunity to get a free Apple 6 free from my brother but it does not have the capacity to get more memory for music so he is looking forward to this phone.

The phone is okay. If you have a teen who will be using the phone, they may want to go in another direction. The issues...The storage space for apps is quite limited. There is a place for an SD card, however, most apps cannot be stored there. The actual phone already comes with things downloaded on it that uses half of the phone's space. The camera is very low resolution, and are best taken outdoors on a nice day.
