Bersaria takes place several hundred years before last year's tales of game, Zesteria. While there are some tie ins to Zesteria you don't need to have played it to understand the story at all. Every single complaint lodged against Zesteria has been fixed or improved in Bersaria. Battle System The combo weakness system returns along with Blast Gague BG but instead of an SC/Stamina meter you have a soul gauge where each soul gauge holds a certain amount of points and any non defensive action costs SG. To perform certain special actions an SG is permanently consumed and given to the enemy you attacked. If you kill an enemy you get an SG. When you start a battle you can only perform 3 hit combos because you only have 3 SG. Pros: -Smooth action battle system, soul burst mechanic allows you to easily chain combos almost infinitely -Interesting characters in terms of personality and play style in battle -Good storyline -Significantly improved camera in battles -Party member AI (better than Zesteria) Cons: -Party member AI (Still worthless on Intense and higher) -Some of the quest markers and objective indicators hold your hand a bit too much -Nitpick: There feels like a sharp increase in difficulty between Hard and Intense. While hard is not a challenge for veterans of the Tales series. Intense is so grueling it's hard to choose between them. Summary: One of the best tales games in recent history. It even rivals Vesperia.

I enjoy the Tales games; I have not completed the game yet, but so far I love the story and characters. The physical collectors edition is very neatly packaged and organized. It's a lot smaller than you would expect to be able to hold everything in it, and of sufficiently nice quality for the price.

This is a great followup to the Tales Of franchise. You play the part of the anti-hero in her engaging story of revenge. Action Combat system is improved over Zestiria but lacking the charm that combing with Seraphim had. The CE comes with a lot of great items, and the game alone is worth getting in any form.

Love the game so far, great battle system, story, and characters.

I'm someone who enjoys playing all of the Tales games, and made sure to preorder this collector's edition (since only 10,000 were produced.) This CE looks good in my bookshelf with the other editions of the previous games in the series.

Love tales of and they always make great collectors editions. If you love great action rpgs, funny dialogue, great stories, and tons of side quests then you'll love Tales of games and Berseria is no exception and a beautiful game.

I grew up playing RPGs on the SNES and PS1 (the golden age) and have been waiting for a game to come along that even comes close to their greatness. The story is decent, and avoids alot of the typical anime tropes, and the soundtrack is pretty good too. Definitely worth your time.

It's so nice to have dual audio in tales games, gameplay is solid and the darker story is a nice change of pace from the typical tales of story.

Bandaids Namco really went all out with this one. Excellent collectibles and the game is great.

While a great collection for any Tales series fan, this limited edition is missing some significant content to justify its price. The game is a great progression on the series staple formula though
