Unlike other hubs I've bought in the past, this one actually included a power adapter. This allowed the hub to charge my phones, power an external BD drive and external hard drive at the same time. Doing that all at the same time on the same hub usually isn't possible due to power requirements. It was nice to not have to make my devices "take turns" on the hub.
