They did not want a bulky-type case for it and they claimed that this fit it perfectly and was more in tune with their needs. My family member has taken it on planes and put it in suitcases with no damage whatsoever to the laptop.

I actually wanted to get a hard case to protect my laptop but I'm glad I have a soft case as well. It looks really good, fits snug, zips easily, and provides a protective barrier. Very happy with it!
