So far I haven't had anyone try to steal my computer from within my dorm, but I always have it locked. It is really easy to function, and frankly something you should definitely get if you are taking a laptop to college.

This lock is easy to use and has been working well to keep the laptop secured to the desk at college.

You need to lock something then you can always buy this.

My college student uses when she is in library and in her dorm room. Allows her piece of mind when she is away from her computer. Easy to use and lightweight for carrying with you from location to location.

The Targus - DEFCON Combo Lock is a great lock. It was inexpensive and a combination lock which I like. There really isn't anything not great about it.

This lock is better than my last one - it has numbers that are easier to read and it also has a swivel where the cable connects to the lock. Very nice for varying ways of locking your laptop!

Does what it is supposed to do and simple to use. I would only use it in a public space.

If you use a laptop out in public places, this is a must have. It is easy to use, quick setup, light to carry. I use around the table leg when in places with high traffic (D Donuts)

Bought for my daughter at colege. Secures laptop to desk as expected. No problems so far.

Works well. Actually went back and purchased a second lock to have one set up by bed and one by desk. Brian at Best Buy in Eatontown, NJ was a big help with recommendations.

Works as promoted. Not tested for actual security hopefully will not be needed.

This is a nice logical, easy to use product to prevent your laptop from being stolen.

I recommend this product to anyone trying to prevent theft of their laptop. Just make sure that your laptop has the proper port to be able to use this cable in the first place!

I love that I can go to class & leave my computer behind knowing that it would be there when I returned. I can also have the flexibility of bringing with me wherever I go.

We wanted to protect my grandson's laptop while he is at college. This unit is light enough and easy enough to attach and detach that he can take it with him everywhere.

Its a simple laptop lock and it has functioned properly since day one.

all in all, a good way to secure laptop. I have used one for many years and purchased a 2nd one. Never had a problem, hence, bought the 2nd one for another computer
