    cheap, flimsy, barely holds shape

Do not purchase this item. Cheap materials, barely holds it's shape. I had my Galaxy s8 set up and more than once the legs buckled and I had to re-set it up. Keeping a phone upright seems like the least this item should be able to do. I tried to wrap these legs around a leg of my larger professional tripod to hold up my phone as a second camera for an interview, and this little thing simply would not hold it's shape enough to keep my phone upright or sturdy. There are tons of other options out there, perhaps just not sold with this retailer. For accessories that will hold a relatively expensive piece of electronics, I prefer to get something well-made and reliable, that I can feel confident will keep my expensive safely secured.

Bought this a few weeks back and now it's review time. It's pretty sturdy and is able to hold together well even with a Panasonic G7 attached. It's a bit tough to get the tripod to bend at first but with time you get used to having to use some force to get it in the position you want it to be in. The feet that it stands on feel pretty cheap.. since day 1 they felt loose but that's really the only thing bad about this tripod. Amazon sales one similar for the same price and is a lot easier to bend and manage . I would still recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap tripod.

On the bright side, I appreciate the GoPro adapter and the ease of the actual mounting mechanism. However, I would rather have to work with impossibly stiff joints to get a stable shot, than shelf it for not being able to hold...well, anything. Just hold it by the top and shake it around a bit. I heard previous versions may have had more hold. Or perhaps I just got unlucky with this one. Either way, I'm looking elsewhere for my next bendy tripod.

This product is great and compact. I use it while at the gym and utilize the flexible legs on the gym equipment. It is also great when vlogging in the car to hold the camera up. The only problem is that the flexibility can be too much when actually using the tripod feature. I noticed that the legs start to slip and bend. When previewing videos, you can tell it started to get out of frame because the legs were bending/slipping. I rarely use it as a tripod and mostly use the flexibility, so I would repurchase.

Bought this for my daughter's birthday, along with an expensive camera and a case, this stand broke within the first week! She only got to used a couple times for blogging indoors. She wad so upset because she has wanted this for quite some time. The piece that connects the stand to the camera, got stuck inside the camera! And we're we cant get it out, so now both products are ruined.

Very lightweight only for lightest cameras

This small flexible tripod is adequate only for the lightest cameras or for phone or mobile device. The legs adjust as designed but do not tighten enough to support a DSLR. The tripod is small enough to fit in a backpack. I used the tripod a few times and have not used it since then because of the limited ability to support any but the lightest devices.

Not sure if I just got a defective one but I put my camera (Canon T6) on it and the little metal piece in the middle that screws into my camera fell out, along with my camera, luckily I was holding my camera close to the ground so it didn't break but I would trust repurchasing one since that happened.

What a great buy! This tripod is portable and very easy to use with and camera with a standard screw in mount, it even co es with an adapter for a go pro or a device with a similar mount. It's strong enough to use with any small camera (I used it with my samsung 360) and probably also a bigger full size camera. You will not be disappointed with the ability, flexibility and versatility of this tripod with will help you take some great video amd or pictures. Enjoy!

I bought this product in-store and was comparing with similar products. I was hesitant at first due to its unusual rigid leg structure but was proven wrong at first use. It might not have the same stable feel as the joby gorilla pod but this delivers. I use this for my samsung nx mini and it holds well on certain structures like arm chairs and poles. Plus, its not as expensive as the other b Gorilla pods.

I have been debating whether to buy one of these tripods for months. I'm so glad I made the purchase! This tripod is amazing! It's extremely sturdy, enough to support my DSLR with zoom lens. I love having the flexibility of using it just about anywhere you can think to using it. If you're thinking of buying a flexible camera tripod, I highly recommend the Taurus Grypton Pro XL.

Its great! Trying to get the legs to keep the camera upright is not that hard, but it does get a little hard to get used too. My only concern is just the screw for the camera to attach too. Mine broke off but I was able to super glue it back on, so be careful with trying to take it off, and DON'T overtighten. Cheap, but honestly really good!

I bought this tripod to use with my cell phone with an adapter to hold my phone. This tripod is sturdy enough to manage most cameras safely. The ability the legs have to bend at differing points is a definite plus as well. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a decent compact tripod for use with a cell phone or small to mid size camera.

This is not a gorilla pod. It is very stiff and does not set right sometimes but it’s decent for what it is. I used it to mount my cellphone above my handycam while on the road and it worked great. However I think I will just buy the real thing. It’s not bad, it just is not quite what I would like mainly because of the stiffness.

I used this for Cannon camera I own. Most times the camera was too heavy for the pod. Last time I used it I was unscrewing the camera and the piece that attaches the pod to the camera completely came out. Still trying to fix it back. Use this for smaller cameras and cell phone cameras with the attachments.

The person selling me strongly recommended I buy the $80 one and I decided I would call his bluff, knowing I could return it if I didn’t like it. I still have it, it hooks on to anything it’s competitors can and is just as if not more sturdy than its far more expensive competitor. If you are debating whether you can get by spending less, the answer is yes.

A simple and useful camera tripod. I very much appreciate the versatility provided by this stand's flexible legs and the weight makes it feel very solid (although I don't know if it's actually that solid). I also appreciate the fact that it includes an extra clip for go pro compatibility. Overall, a great choice if you don't mind it being so short.

I was initially looking for a monopod but I do also have a need for a tripod since I am a vlogger. When I saw this I knew it would totally serve my purpose. Great size to hold as a monopod while having the capability to use as a tripod when I need it.

I purchased this to use with my Go Pro 5. I use to to wrap around a tree branch to record wildlife. It stays in place and holds the camera without continual adjustment. My only issues with this tripod is that it is difficult to get the legs back to being completely straight and I wouldn't try and place a much heavier camera on the mount.

I saw many people using a mini tripod such as this on You Tube videos so I bought one. Unfortunately, this particular tripod is not strong enough to support adequately any camera other than a cell phone or one that is very small and light. I returned the tripod when I realized it could not support my camera.

Purchased it for my nikon d3200 with 18-270 lenses. Weigh is 2 lb and a couple ounces. Most of the travel tripods only support 1 to 2 lbs and wont work it my camera. This does. used it several times. Would not use it by wrapping the legs around an object it does not work that way I think because of the weight. but as a tripod it works great.
