In a word, the Targus Vuscape is FANTASTIC. I was pleasantly surprised to have been given an iPad 2 by my father-in-law over the holiday weekend. Included with the new iPad was also one of Apple's Smart Covers. However, having had the opportunity to use and carry around my new iPad over the long weekend with only the Smart Cover to protect it, upon returning home I decided that a cover affording more protection would be needed since the Smart Cover only protected the iPad's screen, leaving the back and sides completely exposed and prone to scratching. Enter the Targus Vuscape. What I like most about the Vuscape is that it's a tight-fitting case that also leaves the iPad entirely accessible, which means that I never have to remove the iPad from the case. Less reasons to move the iPad in and out of the case = less opportunities to get scratched. +1 for the Vuscape. Second, the case looks good. I mean, really good. The black, faux leather exterior gives a very professional look, which is important when carrying the iPad around the office or using it during meetings with clients. I could do without the blue interior, or the soft blue stitching on the exterior for that matter, but neither is enough to bother me to be a deal breaker. +2 for the Vuscape. Third, the case is the perfect balance between retaining the iPad's thin profile and giving proper protection to prevent damage to the iPad's casing. One of the features of the iPad 2 is how thin and light it is, which is a feature that I did not want to lose once encasing my iPad in a protective cover, and the Vuscape adds little additional bulk to the iPad. Note, however, that the Vuscape leaves about half of the iPad's edges exposed, so if you're prone to dropping things, this may not be the case for you. I never drop anything like this, so that's not a concern for me. +3 for the Vuscape. Fourth, the Vuscape positions the iPad just perfectly for typing, raising the top of the iPad about an inch and a half off the table, which allows me to type for long periods of time without issue. Additionally, the Vuscape is great for watching movies or just general Internet browsing by propping the iPad up and resting the bottom edge into one of two grooves on the inner surface of the case. And if I'm just lying on the couch or in bed, I can completely fold the front of the case behind the back of the case for a completely flat profile. +4 for the Vuscape. Finally, the Vuscape is an affordable $39.99, which is on the lower end of the cost scale for iPad covers. +5 for the Vuscape. All in all, the Targus Vuscape is a great case, which I highly recommend.

Was looking for a new cover for my ipad2 and tried this one because of the price. It is just ok....I have a crack on the face of the devise and this does not cover it, plus it doesn't close completely.

It is ok but not wonderful bulky it someways but it is good protection

This case was ok, but ended up switching to the Apple iPad cases, which better suited my needs.

Great quality case, but it's difficult to take pictures with it on because you can bend the back so you're hold 2 feet of case out to take a picture. Dumb. And the iPad seems like it would fall out of the "clamps". Took it back.

It is extreeeemly protective , soo elegant, excellent fitting , all bottoms are accessible , stable , good made and finish, happy with it's stand function and angles . -The price is good if you compare it to other covers , -The apple smart cover is cool and the colors are greet but it is only screen protective , but u will need something else to put the pad in , and yes it turn the pad light off ( the targus dose not and u have to.do it ur self). -it would have been the greatest if it had any front pocket for the charger and cable .

I bought this to replace my previous iPad cover which was bulkier and heavier. This one fits the tablet precisely, protects it well, and is light in weight. The controls and port on the edges of the iPad are easily accessible. The easel function works well, but only in landscape mode. This cover does not turn the tablet on when open and off when closed as some do. My chief complaint concerns the "latch" that holds the cover closed. This is a narrow extension of the top cover, about 5-6 cm high, in the center of the right side of the cover. It is curved to fit around the edge of the iPad. The problem is that it is too stiff. It's hard to close, and even harder to open again. I've taken to closing the cover loosely over the iPad without latching it in place when it's just sitting around the house. When I take it out with me, then I latch it securely. But I think the manufacturer could have paid more attention to this part of the design.

I bought this case after having the Apple cover that turned the iPad off when I closed it. That cover offered no value in protecting the iPad or improving the viewing. This one is sturdy and allows 3 different viewing angles. It looks more professional and has held up very well. Nice product. I don't hand out many 5's but this case deserves one!

I am completely satisfied with this cover. I like that it protects both sides of my ipad 2. I can prop it up without having to worry about it falling over. It also looks and feels really nice. I was suprised with the price, but it's nice there are still good products out there that don't cost an arm and a leg. Overall: great product.

This cover is easy to make the iPad stay up in 3 different positions. You also lay the iPad flat very easily and comfortably. Also the iPad stays in the cover real well. I have had no problems with the iPad coming out of the cover. The cover is sturdy but no too flimsy. It is also non descript so people do not know its an iPad therefore the possibility of theft is less. I can put the iPad in my backpack and the iPad is fully protected. I tried Apple's cover and did not like it.

I just upgraded to iPad2 from iPad1, so needed a new case. The case I had for iPad1 was a little sloppy fitting, but it did have a very cool feature to stand the thing up for movie viewing that was very stable. Hard to describe, but there was a leg that popped out like on the back of a picture frame, which locked into a series of grooves on the front cover flap. This Targus one fits tighter, and allows full access to the front of the iPad, including the edges, where software buttons typically are. My old case made touching, for example, the + sign for a new appt in calendar, difficult. This Targus case looks great, feels great. Fits tightly, though, so getting it in and out isn't easy. I have the external iPad keyboard, and getting the iPad out of this case to use the kbd is difficult. I end up using the iMac wireless BT keyboard instead. The back camera is off center on mine (obviously a design or manufacturing error) but luckily it doesn't obscure the image. I had to experiment a bit to figure out how to easily close and open the case, and to pop out the iPad's lower edge (in landscape mode) from the two corner clips to stand it up as in the photo you see on this page. OVerall, it's a very fine case, and looks sharp.

Very good protection for iPad2 and let handle the device in a comfortable position for reading or writing. As it clicks on the borders of the iPad, blocks the sleep mode. If you do not mind about it, the cover is excellent.

This case is great if you want to protect the case but still want the Options that the apple smart cover gives you. The only thing it does not do is dim your screen when you close it but other than that it is great. I'm glad I bought this case now I just have to see how long it will last (bought the case 2 months ago), seems pretty sturdy though.

This is my first iPad accessory I've bought for my ipad2. Just got the iPad on 7th of march. And I went to the store cause I wanted a hard case too protect it. I look at all the case and spent at least 30 min really looking at all the case. And for the money this one was the one that made the most sense. It has great viewing angle and also lays flat in the case. Also when closed it clip too the exterior of the iPad. Which is pretty solid. Also it is padded. This is 5 star quality product that makes the iPad look professional in this case for the money. I would recommend this product to anyone. Cause it works, looks great and protect. Everything that was offered came through in this product. 40 bucks that I would spend again in a heart beat.
