I've always been a fan of Sony and have always had these TVs. They just come out with too many new TVs too often and its not worth paying the price when other TVs are still quality. You would only be able to tell the difference if you had these TVs side by side and if then, maybe only for certain viewing types. This is a great TV for the price and has incredible picture quality. The sound quality was also great. This TV will only be in a guest room so will serve its purpose greatly!

love the google OS, it's fast, smooth, and the picture quality is out of this world. bought this for my folks to replace their old Visio that was 5+ years old. they were blown away at the picture quality. just in time for the college playoffs.

Excellent TV. The price was even lower a few weeks ago when I nabbed it for my Dad. I already had the Qm6k from the beginning of the year direct from TCL so I was happy to see this deal. This one doesn't have some of the ritzier features of the Qm6k but still delivers a huge amount of glory. You can fix any of the soap opera effects by changing settings. I wouldn't use their 'Intelligent Display Setting' since that will give you that effect for some content. One of the better settings is the Cinema ones that really make 4k movies shine and still good with Sports. Pair it with a TCL soundbar and it'll be a steal of a setup.

Nice tv would recommend great colors easy to use and easy install

TCL is continuing to grow and evolve in the TV space. Once a budget brand with budget features, the QM5K line is a good mix between budget and high end features. This TV regularly goes on sale and can be found for under $500. The Mini LED structure is a bit fuzzy at close range but if you are watching a 55 inch TV from 1 foot away, you probably bought the wrong TV. Normal viewing distance yields a clear and quality picture. The built in Google TV features is great since Chromecast's are becoming a thing of the past. The software is responsive and reliable. Overall, a great TV if you don't want to spend $1000+ on a similar TV from a different brand.

Great picture and easy to set up! We also enjoy all the applications that are included in this TV.

I was looking for a 55” TV for my mancave and budget was $500. I looked at Samsung, Hisense, Sony, LG and decided that this TV had the most bang for the buck. Now that I’ve had it for a bit, can’t say enough good things about it. It was under $400 and for that I got a great quality picture, the menus are very responsive, TV is intuitive and easy to setup and navigate. My Xbox series X looks awesome and now that I added the TCL S45h soundbar, everything looks and sounds great. I realize there are better TVs out there that cost more but in my opinion this is a really nice TV, I’m impressed with the quality of products made by TCL

I really like how the TV perfectly complements the size of the bedroom. Not too big, and not too small. In addition to great picture quality, it’s easy to navigate through the features.

The mini-LED with 300 local dimming zones gives a better contrast, blacker blacks and images than the Q-LED TVs. At this price it's a great deal. It's a bit stripped down from the QM6/7/8 but serves its purpose very well. Out of the box the picture was way too bright and too much contrast, most of this can be fixed by simple choosing "movie" mode. There are good guides out there on Rtngs.com for good settings. I like the Google OS, its snappy and has a lot of options w/o being too busy (like on LG). Sound quality is mediocre like most thin TVs. Good enough to get by, but for movies recommend a sound bar connected to its eARC port.

Overall very good tv for the price! Gets bright enough and the contrast looks great for movies/games. It might not be a top end tv, but this is probably one of the best mini-led tvs you can get for this price.

The size fit our existing space the same and gave us 5” more of viewable TV. Color and picture quality are great as well as sound.

I’m Sony tv supporter for all the years until I met TCL. Beside the cost beats all the top tier brand, it quality is actually comparable. Color, motion, apps use, everything are great , exceeded my expectations.

Fantastic TV for those on a budget. What people don’t know is that TCL is cheaper than other brands because TCL makes its own display panels while other brands don’t and Mae the consumer pay the cost of outsourcing. My TV has good quality and I can’t be more happy.

We were looking for a reasonably priced TV with decent picture technology to replace an old projection TV. This fit the bill perfectly and we're pleased with our decision after a month of use.

Im very pleased with my purchase of the tcl qm5k smart tv. The picture is great along with all other features.

Definitely an upgrade from the Insight TV we had. Beautiful colors, contrast and easy to use navigation. Highly recommended.
