Good tv. However, picture is a little darker than i am used to. Especially when it shows nighttime on screen.

TV isn’t bad at all for a budget TV. Google TV has all the apps you could need, however I’ve noticed if leaving the TV on for a while (>3 hours) the OS becomes SO laggy, almost like it enters a low power state or something. 120hz only works at 1080P, so for gamers, the most you’ll get is 4K 60FPS.

Poor Quality Control. 2 Defective TVs in a row.

I've owned 2 TCL TVs and haven't had any issues in 5 years but this one had issues right out of the box. The first TV had grey spots in all of the corners so I exchanged it only to find out the new one had more visible grey spots plus 2 dead pixels. This seems like a result of poor quality control. If it came out of the box with no defects this would be a great buy, but having to take this TV back twice is a real pain and let down because these TVs use to be good quality TVs for a good price. This is no longer true.

Bought this TV and quickly learned there is a lawsuit for tvis exact model because it is not QLED technology and is in fact inlt FHD LCD with no microdot technology. The picture is ok except the backlight washes out in the corners which best buy tells me is normal but a little researxg tells you the backlight is failung. Had the tv less than 4 weeks and already disappointed and misled.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you are not having the same great experience that the majority of our customers report having. This TV does indeed feature QLED technology. We would love the opportunity to look into this for you to see if we can assist you. Great Upgrade!

I’ve been using the TCL Q6 QLED 65” for a few weeks now, and overall, it’s been a really solid upgrade. The picture quality is sharp and colorful, and it definitely feels like a big step up from my previous TV. Streaming apps load quickly, Google TV is smooth once you get used to it, and I appreciate the variety of smart features built in.
For everyday viewing — shows, sports, and casual gaming — it’s excellent. The Game Accelerator feature makes gameplay responsive and smooth enough for my needs, and the large screen really shines when watching sports or movies. Setup was easy, and I like that the TV stand has two different width options so it can fit different furniture.
That said, there are a few trade-offs. The HDR performance is fine but not amazing — dark scenes don’t have the deep contrast you’d see on higher-end models. The built-in sound is just okay, so I paired it with a soundbar for a much better experience.
Overall, this TV is a great value for the size and features. If you want a big, vibrant screen for a reasonable price, it’s hard to beat. Just don’t expect top-tier black levels or theater-like sound out of the box.

I bought the 65” TCL Q6 for general use in my living room to replace my 2020 50” Vizio. A couple months in and it has been phenomenal for the price. This is my first TCL, so I was a little unsure at first, but this is a pretty significant upgrade from my old tv.
Pros:
Screen Glare- My biggest gripe with my old Vizio is that my TV sits next to a large-ish window, and boy did that TV show glare bad. Significantly less of an issue on the TCL. Glare does still occur, naturally, but at fairly straight ahead angles it’s barely noticeable to me. Worth noting it does increase fairly significantly at wider (4-5 ft or so off center of TV) angles.
UI/Smart TV- My first time using googleTV. It’s a very straightforward and intuitive UI and integrates your google/youtube account seemlessly. I probably prefer this to fire TV.
Gaming- Admittedly, this is the biggest TV I’ve ever owned- so maybe that is a part of it. But, even though it’s not native 120 hz, the game mode works wonders and PS5 games look fantastic on this TV. I used to play on a 1080p/ 120hz monitor, but I’ve been converted back to TV after this purchase. Cyberpunk and other AAA games look outstanding. I’m sure a Sony or Samsung could do better, but not in this price range.
Colors- Color is very vibrant and TV has a nice brightness level.
Cons:
UI- GoogleTV IS nice, but the interface on the smart TV can be a bit sluggish at times. Not the worst I’ve seen by any metric, but not the best either- generally not enough to bother me. If you use a game console or external streaming device this is a non-issue anyway.
Picture Settings- Some of the display presets (ie sports, movie) make the image look a bit off to me. Easy fix by tinkering with settings (I personally turned off motions smoothing).
Overall:
It looks significantly better than my old TV or my insignia Fire TV I purchased last year. I wouldn’t consider myself a TV snob, but I also appreciate good quality. Gaming, shows, and movies all look great. There are absolutely “better” TVs out there, but you’d be hard pressed to find a better value- highly recommend.
