    I really really like this TV. I moved my 70" Samsung bought in 2021 up to my bedroom to put this monster on the wall in my living room and it is the perfect size for it. When I am watching content that is worthy of it, like 4k, 8k, or 16k videos on YouTube, they look absolutely breathtaking. I am more of a natural color sort of person - not liking the oversaturated, unnaturally bright "HDR'd to death" look. And this TV has a ton of adjustability to help me lock in on my exact preferences. Between Standard and Filmmaker modes I am pretty much set. There is no reason ever, in a life on this planet, to go with Vivid on this TV. Just don't do it unless you hate your retinas and the life satisfaction of others. It is an extremely bright TV if you want it to be. I don't like the amount of glare on glossy screens and really wish it had a matte finish. But when the entire screen is full of image, and the brightness is up enough, most reflected lights in the background are drowned out. I also have a wall full of windows on one side and while images with a lot of black reflect far too much, the flexibility of the blackness and brightness controls can usually get ahead of it. If there is one main con that I could mention it's that when it has to downsample or play content that is in the HD range instead of UHD, it can look varying degrees of bad. Especially low res wording on the screen, which seems to lose its antialiasing a bit. The app menus have a tendency to do this too, but I guess with a screen this huge, sitting basically 12 feet away from it is going to result in some degredation if the pixel depth isn't there or the video is old. Also there is a tendency for the TV to do too much second guessing with the settings. When I set things up and tell it "all sources", that's what I mean. But even when I turn off as much of the "auto adjust" stuff I can find, I still see that some settings end up walking after some time. Especially when I am transitioning to and from HDR, but also between non-HDR sources like Netflix to Prime or Yubi to HBO Max. It's annoying but certainly no dealbreaker. Well I guess that's two things, isn't it? All in all, especially for basically 40% off from the original price, this TV is the kind. I noticed after it got here that there is an 11k out and briefly wondered what that must be like, but I don't think it's going to be twice as good as this one for twice the price, so I'm going to hold what I've got.

    I am still waiting for instalation of the 98" TV. They need 2 weeks.

    Fraud and poor customer service

    Customer service does not exist in Best Buy. I purchased a 100” tv, a tv mount, and electrical relocation kit. I received a delivery and installation date. No day before notification. I received a call the morning of delivery and install day informing me the tv mount was unavailable. I chose to have tv delivered regardless. After that morning total radio silence. I had to go into Bestbuy location to discuss further actions. ( reschedule date) and purchase the tv mount I ordered. It was in stock on the shelf. For all my trouble dealing with bestbuy. I received a letter in the mail notifying me of an attempt to open a Best Buy credit card in my name. Not once, two attempts. I am a brick and mortar shopper. I want to go into a store and purchase my products. I will never purchase anything from Best Buy from now on.

    Color inaccuracy

    The whites are almost yellow, it’s better than the qm8k though which is a over saturated display and does not get anywhere close to 5,000 nits

    Huge TV

    Bought this TV during the pre super bowl sale. I was hesitant on buying it. I passed on it during black Friday sale. But I decided to make the purchase now. It's an absolutely massive TV. My kids now call our loft a "movie theater". It has really changed our viewing experience now. The quality is great. There's a lot of tweaks you can do to the quality to fit your need. It can get bright. So much so, my wife complains the tv is giving her a headache, but you can turn the brightness down. Watching 4K videos and movies on this TV is next level! The only negative part about this tv are the native audio speakers. They aren't great. Average at best. So my next purchase will be surround sound, or at the bare minimum, a sound bar. But if you were hesitant like me in getting this TV, don't. Get it. It's worth it!

    Dead pixel problem after a month

    After 30 days, I had a pixel turn red on my set. I called TCL customer support and after 30 minutes on the phone running tests on my new tv, I was referred to email warranty service which I did. Their response was that the tv was made to specifications and referred my back to Best Buy for more service options. This is my first and last TCL tv. I have bought over 10 Samsung and Sony tvs and never had a dead pixel. Buyer beware of TCL and the lack of quality and customer support.

    Geek Squad - AWFUL!

    Our Best Buy experience when purchasing the TV was wonderful! The delivery and installation by Geek Squad was horrific! They sent 2 guys who were rude and very disrespectful and who couldn’t carry a 98 inch TV upstairs. Lied and told us they couldn’t bring the TV in OR install it because they were on a 30 min time limit per installation. We offered to bring in the TV and take it upstairs and they still wouldn’t do it.

    Defective panel

    I had to order a replacement unit since my initial One had dirty screen effect and a defective panel. My second unit now have blooming issues and weird halo which my first unit didn’t have. Very disappointed and not sure who to contact or how to resolve this.

    Prchsd 98”tv, surround sound, washer, dryers stove

    Customer service horrible, missed appointments on there end, no rescheduling on there part till I call in weeks later, they have always damaged something or forgot something and have to reschedule. No one available to explain my concerns because the person you call in customer service is from another country and the managers at Best Buy state they don’t handle they have no knowledge of the prior complains or just are not helpful so pretty much your left with whatever. Last year I will be total tech after that I am no longer renewing. Not worth the hassle the staff and workers put you through no matter if your total tech.

    Still Waiting for Delivery

    Can’t review as I am still waiting on delivery of television. Bought on July 12th. Two deliveries have been cancelled by Best Buy and then told it would be delivered on 9/9/25, fingers crossed!! Had to miss 2 days of work for deliveries that were not delivered. Now I will have to take a 3rd day, that’s if the store doesn’t cancel the delivery again. Had to do a rating but this is for Best Buy, not the product.

    Poor delivery scheduling

    Never bought the TV because we told the store that it had to be delivered by a certain date. When we ordered the TV the delivery date was set and it was a good date. 3 days later they changed the delivery date to something that was much later. We cancelled the order.

    Great color and blacks. Brightness is amazing. In a well lit room with an entire wall of windows brightness is seems to be best set at 22%.

    Might be great tv but can’t tell been 2 months and still getting put off on install. I guess other people have emergencies or at least that’s what they tell me when they don’t show up for appointment

    Terrible choice! Yes its big but doesnt look good at all as it does in the store. I had mine installed by Best Buy and returned it immediately switching to an LG 83 inch and it looks great@

    Amazing TV that performs beyond its price point.

    Had this television for a solid month and the picture quality is amazing. The black levels are deep, the color saturations are vibrant and there is no color blooming . The native refresh rate maintains smoothness in motion and can be switched easily when watching certain programs. Set on high for sports and live events and usually kept on low or medium for movies to maintain the cinematic effect. This TV is definitely worth it
