Value for money of large screen TCL TVs can’t be beat. Was debating between the 75/85 inch QM8k and the 98 inch QM7k. Based on research I did, decided to go with the bigger screen since the difference in quality is apparently not noticeable. So far, super happy with the purchase. Be aware this screen is massive. The box is even bigger and the GeekSquad team who delivered it weren’t able to get it down to my basement where it was supposed to be mounted. They will not move the TV without the box and so had to unpack the TV, get it moved downstairs by myself (I hired some movers) and then call them back for mounting. The TV weighs about 120 lb without the box. Can’t really speak for the sound since i have it hooked to a 7.2 channel home theatre system. The UI is not super responsive and the remote is kinda basic (I’m used to the LG magic remote with the pointer). At least it’s backlit which is nice. There is some noticeable blooming (again I’m coming from an OLED) but honestly I expected it to be worse. Those are the only cons I can think of right now.

This TV, when viewed in the Best Buy store, was nothing short of jaw dropping. My wife thought it was too big at 98", I disagreed. Eventually, we decided to buy it. We elected to use the Geek Squad team for delivery and installation as the size of this TV required a wall mount. The Geek Squad team did an exemplary job with the install. And they provided great help with showing me how to use the remote control and setting the TV up. I'm very impressed with this TCL QM7K 98" TV. I really cannot tell a difference between this miniled TV and an OLED display. And I had an LG OLED 65" TV since 2018. The blacks are black; and the images are crisp and sharp. The colors vibrant and true. There's nothing not to like! In the short time I have owned this TV, I've watched NFL games, movies, and regular TV. All have been great. Some folks have complained about brightness. Huh? Brightness is fine. In fact, right now, I have brightness set at zero. More brightness hurts my eyes! Very pleased!

Absolutely stunning TV for 2500 its worth every penny! Its like having a movie theater at home. Beautiful all around picture, bright, vibrant colors. Geek squad mounted it in 15 minutes and even showed up early for delivery. Amazing experience

We replaced a 2 year old 98 inch TCL because of a physical damage issue. This TV is leaps and bounds better. The black levels are fantastic, the colors really pop and the brightness is fantastic. I can’t recommend thisTV enough.

Massive TV, excellent picture. Lots of customization settings. For movies and streaming, very accurate color out of the box if you set the picture to Filmmaker mode and boost brightness setting within that mode to 90 or 100. For program material with DolbyVision or HDR, this unit produces deep blacks, vivid color and spectacular highlights. For sports, Sports mode works well especially if the room has a lot of ambient light. For other casual viewing in a bright room, Standard mode might be preferred, but I leave it on Filmmaker mode for most viewing. Compared to my 65” LG C2 OLED, I find the black levels to be very similar and the color to be about equal, and the HDR highlights are superior on this TCL. The only negative is the TCL's viewing angle; though it's much wider than most LEDs I have owned, the colors do fade if you're sitting far to the side. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase, and the Geek Squad guys did a great job delivering and mounting the TV.

I was deciding between the 83inch LG C5 and the TCL QM7K 98inch. I know the LG has a better image quality but they don’t make a 98in TV. The TCL’s screen is pretty dang close and the the price was crazy good. I’m so happy with this purchase. Gaming is also killer on this TV as well. Just make sure you get the better hdmi cables so you get the 120 refresh rate.

Hard but not impossible to give 5 stars on a product nowadays however this thing is pretty awesome! I had been looking at 85’ and 98’ etc… qled etc.. and I saw this one for a few hundred dollars more then the older ones and saw it had Q8 tech which is a little newer and I’m no expert by far or even close on tvs but figured it was worth it. My tv before purchasing this one was a Vizio 70 or 75’ can’t remember but I had it for 7 + years and still do in my mancave. This new tv is obviously 98’ tcl qled Q8 is so Vivid! Colorful! Sound is great! It sits about 12 feet from where we sit. Blackness is also pretty great! Would buy again for sure at $1999.99+ tax when I bought it. Anything under I would consider a really good deal!just be sure to have a few people… Like 4 would be good three would be harder and two almost impossible and one… well no way shape or Form do I see that happening! TCL has been hitting rhe market hard with their mini LED tech and it ahows that theyve really spent alot of time with R&D, because this QM7k is seriously impressive. I originally had the Hisense U7QG on order, but after seeing both the TCL and Hisense next to one another at my local Best Buy, I ultimately made the decision for the TCL. The QM7K is mindblowingly bright, even at night with toned down beightness, everything just pops. The black levels are almost OLEDlike thanks to the new Crystglow HVA panel (TCLs own designed tech). The local dimming on this TV is top tier. I noticed blooming in just one scene, and thats when i was genuinely trying to get it to show any trace of blooming. IMO this is a better presentation of local dimming than Samsung, Hisense, or LG can come up with and honestly rivals Sony… its that good. TV audio is decent, much better than pretty much any attempt from other companies, save for maybe Sony’s bravia 9. If youre looking for an increible 98” tv, get this. It has reprogrammed what I think about looking for in my TV set (im usually a TV snob). TCL is definitely on my “must purchase” list going forward. Im very impressed!

Fantastic picture. Near OLED black levels and crazy brightness. Add to that the 100" inch screen and I don't think I'll ever go to the movies again! Also, geek squad install was very well done.

Definitely worth the money! TCL has come a long ways and this TV is almost as good as my OLED, in my opinion. Beautiful colors and very bright. If you are looking for a 98 inch television, but don’t want to break your bank or wallet, this is definitely your option! I have also been very pleased hooking it up to my Xbox series X.

This TV will blow you away with it's brightness and deep colours. Nearly blinding at night. The gaming features work great, and if you have a dark home theater/media room- this should keep you happy for a very long time. However, in my super bright natural light living room- that was not the case. Despite it's high nit count, it is not enough to outweigh the reflection from windows- causing the TV to be nearly unwatchable during the day as it appears like essentially a black mirror in dark scenes. The product page states this has a "semi matte hva panel" and by semi, TCL means not really at all, actually - in comparison to the next step down (cheaper) QM6K, which does feature a true matte display on the 85 and 98 inch models. While the higher brightness looks incredible at night- for my use case, the 98 QM6K is the better buy.

the TV is as good as the reviews I read before purchasing.. TCL has become a serious player in the large screen arena... miini LED architecture, excellent brightness, contrast and Black screen, rivals QLEDs... only area of improvement would be upscaling older broadcasts... but then again when you put lipstick on a pig... well you get it... i'm completely satisfied with the purchase, value for the money, and installation.... thank you best buy!!

Such a beautiful TV with amazing picture! This is my first TCL, but it is well worth it. The mini-LED display is crisp and responsive. In a terribly bright room in the middle of the day the TV is even brighter. I got this for a shade under 2 grand and it was the best deal possible and a dream come true. I am a fan of the Google TV platform and it’s perfectly integrated with my smart home. I streamed Sinners the first night and it was phenomenal. I can honestly tell you there’s no need for a sound bar with the Bang & Olufsen audio on here. Highly customizable and premium quality for what I paid can’t be beat. If you’re thinking of getting this TV do it!

I replaced a 120" 4K projector with this 98" TCL. I was a little concerned about the smaller size in my movie room but the mount extends outward so the size was not a factor at all. Also the blacks are so perfect with letterboxed movies the illusion is that the screen seems larger. The film maker mode is amazing.

The TV replaces a Mitsubishi WD82840 that was still working. The picture wasn't bright enough and was only in 1080P. The 98" TCL is much brighter and provides better blacks. Currently there are no issues, including dead pixels. Setup was quick and easy

The quality on this TV is fantastic and for the price this TV was an exceptional deal. It isn’t as great as an OLED but it is very close, the blacks are good and vibrant colors really pop. The sound quality is very good also due to the built in subwoofers. Would definitely recommend this TV to anyone shopping for one that is 98 inches and above.

I purchased this tv as an open box and We Love it. Excellent picture and its huge. We just moved and decided to upgrade from a 65" tv to this 98". The difference is amazing. A special thanks to one of the managers Travis Ybarra, he made everything right. Best Buy is lucky to have him.
