This does not sound like typical behavior for one of our soundbars. Without more information, it is difficult to understand what may be happening with the soundbar. Great Soundbar Great Price!

I purchased the TCL 65" rK HDR TV a few months ago and absolutely love it. It really was plug it in and it started connecting itself. So, when I saw the great price of $99 for the TCL Soundbar I ordered it and picked it up that day. I plugged in the power and started to look at how to hook up to my computer when my daughter connected her iPhone via Bluetooth in ten seconds and started playing her music. The sound was great especially for less than $100. I connected my computer via bluetooth and we were set within seconds. The sound was great as we watched a movie under the stars. We couldn't be happier with our purchase.

This is my first TCL sound bar purchase and so far it’s exceeding my expectations. It works seamlessly with the TV and the sound is terrific. It does not have a separate base unit, but I haven’t really noticed. It’s also nice that the TV remote controls the sound bar. All I had to do was turn off the TV speakers and plug in an optical cable. Again, it works like you’d expect. I’ll soon be buying another one for my other TV.

Does it’s job
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paired this with my TCL Series 6. The sound isn’t spectacular, but it’s better than the TV speakers. Watching a loud, action movie the enhanced sound was more noticeable. I also like that I can control it (to an extent) with my TCL Roku TV remote. On the downside, for whatever reason you can’t mute the speaker or power it down with the TV remote. Being able to adjust the volume but not mute it is annoying. I don’t like the indicator light either. While the TV’s LED stays off until you press a button, the speaker LED stays on constantly. Unfortunately mine also came damaged, with a dent on the end of the screen. Doesn’t appear to affect functionality and I’m sick of returning items, so I decided to just keep it. Overall it is a decent speaker if you’re just looking for a basic upgrade on the built ins. Functionality and QC could stand improvement.

If you connect this soundbar through HDMI ARC and enable CEC settings, or if you use the AUX input, you can actually utilize the mute button on your Roku remote. Additionally, we're truly sorry to hear that your soundbar came damaged. All of our soundbars and packing are designed to withstand the rigors of shipping, but sometimes things happen that are out of our control. Affordable but not great

It’s affordable but feels cheaply made. Sound is okay. Bought this for my dad and he’s enjoying it. If you can, spend more and get a better soundbar like the Sonos Beam.

Volume is inadequate
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We have a TCL 55" Roku TV and bought this bar (Alto 7+) with the HDMI ARC in order to loose the additional speaker remote that we had been using. We hooked up the Speaker. The process was plug and play out of the box. Everything linked up seamlessly. When we turned the TV on and started a show, it took until we hit a volume level of 50 to really hear the show, and average about 70 for normal TV volume. When watching a movie, 100 (the MAX) isn't even very loud. I called TCL Customer Support and they went through troubleshooting with me. We checked and changed the TV settings, Reset the TV settings, and nothing. Support told me that this is "normal" for a sound bar. I know this is incorrect as the $50 no name sound bar we had before this one, was very loud, and we NEVER put it on the Max setting. They kept suggesting that I just return the bar as I got it recently. Overall the TV speakers are louder than this soundbar, BUT the quality of sound from the soundbar is far better. I would not purchase this soundbar again unless they fix the volume issue. I don't think paying this much is worth it if you have to Max it out to even enjoy a Movie.

Just the product I was looking for!

It is black, which matches the color of my tv and looks great. The volume control allows me to hear the tv even when my kids are misbehaving. I love this product!

TLC alto sound bar

Zero highs, no lows. Very tinny. In order to start hearing sound, I have to start the volume at 27 and to hear it normally it’s on 65. I think I must have gotten a lemon. This absolutely can’t be what people are raving about. It’s beyond awful. I prefer the tv alone....it’s THAT bad. And...I bought one for a gift. ! :(
