    I thought it was funny

Basically, if you liked Family Guy before it became unwatchable, this movie should be pleasing to you. Many of the jokes in the movie are surprising and unusual, and the humor depends a lot on the characters and their relationships. Fortunately, Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis deliver plenty of heart and charm to the story, and their performances are the reason so much of the humor works. The unrated edition on the disc doesn't add a huge amount of value, but it brings a few decent new laughs and is probably the best version of the movie to watch.

A child's wish gives life to a teddy bear that grows up to be a foul mouthed, marijuana smoking companion to that same child, who now is simply a man child (Mark Wahlberg). He also happens to be voiced by Seth McFarlane, the voice of Peter Griffin on Family Guy (watch for the inside joke about that ). Along for the ride, and plenty of awkward relationship situations, is Mila Kunis as the hapless girlfriend/almost fiancé...oh, and there's Flash Gordon too! Hilarity ensues, and lots of it!

    Hysterical!

This flick is hysterical...and not one of those where all of the funny moments are in the trailer. It is NOT a deep plot, suspenseful, or thought provoking movie...what it is is a very funny Comedy, and one with a taking teddy bear at that, so go in with academy type expectations in check! I will warn that it is most definitely adult humour so I wouldn't recommend it for family movie night if you have young ones, but for the mature crowd it it's a hysterical immature comedy!

For better or for worse, this is a funny comedy. Maybe a tad long (I'd rather watch the Theatrical than the Extended Cut), but very clever and original. Definitely NOT for kids, but for a fun "more mature" night, this is guaranteed to make you laugh out loud in more than one occasion. And, if you're a little older and you remember "Flash Gordon" from the '80s... Even better. You'll see why while watching the movie. The DVD is nice, clear, great sound... A must-have.

What Can I Say about a Foul-Mouthed Teddy Bear?

"Ted" was an amusing film from the gutter mouth behind "Family Guy," "American Dad," and "The Cleveland Show," writer/actor Seth McFarlane. In "Ted", we get an actually heart-warming tale of a man and his childhood teddy bear, whom he wished could talk. His wish was granted, and little John Bennett grew up with his best friend, Ted, a teddy bear with a heart of gold and a mouth like a sailor. Now an adult, Bennett and Ted smoke pot, drink beers, and watch "Flash Gordon" together. But Bennett's girlfriend Lori (Mila Kunis, "That '70s Show", "Forgetting Sarah Marshall") thinks it's time that Ted go, so that she can remake John into a proper adult. The cast is great, with Patrick Stewart ("Star Trek: The Next Generation") narrating and character actors Giovanni Ribisi ("Avatar," "My Name Is Earl") and Joel McHale ("Community", E!'s "The Soup") rounding out the cast. Don't expect "Masterpiece Theatre" here, kids, or even a cuddly Disney film, because that this ain't. But it's not a bad two hours spent, either.

To be honest, I did not go out of my way to see this title, having expectations of it being full of juvenile humor which is not usually my sort of movie. Caught it on one of the premium movie channels and have not laughed as hard at a movie in years. Yes, there is juvenile humor and a bit worse but for a change there was actually a decent story. Still funny after watching it several times.

I loved Ted when I saw it in the theatre, but I waited to buy the Blu-ray. When Ted 2 was announced, they offered the original Ted with Movie Money towards the Ted 2 ticket. I jumped on the offer and was not disappointed. It was a great value and the Blu-ray looks and sounds great. I haven't checked out the special features yet, but look forward to them.

Although, I usually do not go for movies that have gross out humor in them I found this to be a good movie after my dad had me watch on cable. I purchased it for him as a Father's Day present because I remembered how much he enjoyed the film. I forgot to buy Flash Gordon to accompany this Father's Day gift however.

I love this movie my husband and I can watch it over and over. I would have given 5 stars but the fact that Best buy would not honor the fact that the movie was under a sign that stated $5.99 really upset me I didn't realize that it was the last one behind the sign and the staff made me feel like I was lying but whatever I guess

If you are a fan of family guy and more importantly its's humor than this is the movie for you. the movie doesn't take itself seriously, however there are some very touching moments and some intense scenes. of course it is an R movie and its probably for good because some scenes are very unexpected and extreme

This is a decent comedy movie. It is definitely crude with its humor, but it is funny nonetheless. The price for the movie was also excellent, and the coupon to reduce the ticket price of its sequel make this an excellent deal. If you don't have this movie, and are wanting it, I'd advise getting it now.

Ted was a funny movie. Better than I expected. It has a pretty good story to go with the jokes spread throughout the movie. The idea that just about everyone accepts a talking teddy bear is just goofy enough to work. Good for some laughs and to watch a movie without having to think about the meaning.

If you aren't offended by the rough language then you should find this movie a pleasant surprise. When the previews came out I said to myself, no way. A story about a teddy bear that comes to life? You got to be kidding me. So I waited till it came out on DVD. Boy was I wrong. The premise works. A fun time to be had.

Ted is a heartwarming tale about a boy and his walking, talking teddy-bear. Think 'Winnie the Pooh' meets 'St. Elmo's Fire'. It's a laugh a minute with this rambunctious crew of Bostonians. You'll be chanting USA! USA! by the time the credits role. So pour yourself a mint julep and a bowl of generic marshmallow cereal and enjoy!

Another movie where it took my co-workers to get me interested in. From the previews it was not that interesting but after watching it twice I turned the other cheek, could you imagine having a childhood item that came to life, me neither but all in all too funny.

A very intense and thrilling movie, it will keep you glued to your seat. It has no boring or dull moments in the whole movie. If your a military person and have been deployed, (like myself) it's very relatable. A little bloody for the kiddos, and a some mature content. But all and all the movie is one to watch.
