Customers are positive about the amplified indoor stereo antenna's reception, ease of use, and FM reception, with many praising its improved signal strength and ease of installation. They also appreciate the antenna's design and performance. However, customers are negative about the antenna's AM reception and the shortness of its cord. Some found the AM reception unsatisfactory, while others wished for a longer cord to allow for more flexible placement.

We purchased this antenna to attach to an older stereo receiver to add the function of radio. It was easy to attach and is working beautifully.

Do not bother

I got this antenna to try to improve reception over another brand of indoor antenna, but it turned out to do a worse job. Do not spend your money on this unit...it does not work as advertised. In fact, it actually worked BETTER when I unplugged the power supply and used it as a passive antenna! This costly powered antenna probably works no better than the folded dipole (wire) antenna that came FREE with your FM radio or receiver.

Had this sitting around for a couple of years unused. Tried it as an antenna for my new TV and I get around 14 HDTV channels.... who'd have thunk it...

Does improve reception

I have read many reviews of anntennas indicating that most of them don;t work very well. This does work well, and insterestingly, it works better when it is unplugged. The power amplification doesn't really help anything and there is a bright blue light that stays on when plugged in which to my thinking is just wasting electricity. Bottom line is, the product does do what it is supposed to do and I recommend it.

We use in our garage with a Kenwood receiver and have had no issues with it as long as we keep it unblocked and at highest point possible.

Terrible Product

This product does noting to enhance reception. I have some FM stations that do not come in that well with the single wire FM antenna. I purchased the amplified Terk FM antenna thinking this would be an easy fix. It did absolutely nothing to enhance any reception. I had to move the wires around to get better reception just like the $2 wire that came with stereo receiver. Product is USLESS !!

Purchased as a replacement antenna for my am/fm receiver. Easy to install, but doesn't work! Doesn't even pick up the local FM.stations much less any AM. I do not live in an area where reception is a problelm with an antenna. I thought this would be an improvement over what I had, but this is not worth the money or effort to bring it home.

It's an antenna how excited can you get?

It's an antenna. It gives a better signal than the stupid ones they package with your receiver. It is fairly large and the cables are not long enough to put it far enough away to really make a big difference. Overall it is adequate. I had tried a powered one initially but the light on it allowed you to land planes in your living room after dark - this one does not. If it hadn't been for the obnoxious light I probably would have stuck with the powered one. Suppose I could have covered it with duct tape but that seems a little silly.

I am using for my stereo in the basement. It does pretty well but not magic for sure. Not sure I would agree that it dramatically improves AM/FM reception. For some stations actually works better not pluged in.
A little pricey for what it does. Not really much better that my old dipole antenna, but looks a lot nicer.

I purchased this Antenna hoping to increase my home amplifier radio reception, but unfortunately there has been no change. Its a nice looking Antenna, & easy to setup, but it doesn't work as advertized.

Was not Useful at All

I had a simple dipole antenna for my FM radio. One station that was boradcasting 25 miles away, was a little bit hard to receive on some days, but could always be picked up. When I connected the Terk (with or without the pre-amp powered) and in ay position it could not pick up the station at all. I went back to the basic dipole wire that came with the radio. The few stations that this antenna could pick up were a bit louder with he pre-amp on (as you might expect), but the antenna was basically hopeless.

I'm not familiar with the technical aspects of these powered antennas, but, based on the explanation at the store, expected a little more than what I have - seems to be a fine basic antenna but it needs to be positioned carefully or even local FM stations can come in poorly.

Bought this to improve my stereo's radio reception. The single wire plug that came with my receiver did better. I tried to use the gain adjustment and it picked up the station once. Once. That's it. Don't buy this antenna.

Stopped working and ATT FCC Tech tracked my antenna signal to my house said it was interfering with their telephone tower and i unplugged it for them. Buyer Beware some of them are not working properly.

I couldn't pick up any regular TV channels with other antenna's I've tried because I live about 30 miles from the main tower. I am happy that I can pick up 5 channels now.

Didn't work so well for me, fuzzy reception at best. The cord is rather short limiting where it can be placed. This one is going back to the store.
