One of the Gretest Films now in 4k

    Posted .

I never cancelled my order and waited over a year to finally get this special ediion T2. One of the gretest Film now released in 4K, the image look so good they look fake LOL. This remake is a must have specially this Endo Arm edition only 6k where made. They are signed by James Cameron and also numbered. The Endo Arm is not small at all and it looks good, it is very light as it was made out of plastic, I wish it was in polish metal. The film comes in a UltraHD case with 2 disc, one 4k and the other BD. It really sucks they didn't released the same as the internatioal version wich came with all the versions of T2 in 4 Disc including the 3D version, and it was released on time. As a movie collector this definetly fits well, I also have the 3D version which obtained from Uk and it looks fantastic. If you can get your hand in one of this do it, it may worth something in the near future plus that Endo Arm gets people attention.

    Great Movie. One Small Problem

This was one of my most favorite movies growing up. Even when they announce the special edition years ago back on DVD. And when I saw that they were releasing it for 4K I immediately jumped on the pre-order. So today I started watching it and found out that 4K disk is just the theatrical edition and not the special edition. To compare the difference between the regular and special edition is that the special edition has additional scenes in the movie. Note: The Blu-ray has 3 different versions of the movie, Theatrical Version, Special Edition Version, Extended Special Edition Version. The time difference between each version is TV - 2h 17m, SEV - 2h 33m, ESEV - 2h 35m.

A Definite Must for Steelbook Collectors!

The price for the T-2 Steelbook has been so low that I had to add it to my "Terminator Collection." The Steelbook design was as awesome as the metal cover limited edition T-2 "Extreme DVD" that they sold two decades ago (lower right corner in the photo), before Steelbooks ever existed. And don't let anybody fool you; I bought the "Terminator Genisys" Steelbook (upper left corner of pic) for the same price as the plastic blu-ray, and in addition to an hour of extras, our ex-Governor definitely hit the gym before filming and was as tough without CGI as he's ever been. And if you watch the extras, you'll hear how nice and down-to-earth he was when his co-stars were nervous to be working with the REAL "Terminator." Throughout the filming, he was as gracious with the new talent as he was with the guys and gals working out at Gold's Venice (Beach) back in the day, even after winning his record breaking bodybuilding championships and becoming a millionaire/movie star. People can criticize his accent and his acting, but BUY T-5 and you'll cheer him on, especially when they create a CGI version of Arnold from T-1 by using a young bodybuilder with the same upper body Arnold had in film #1, and our senior citizen kicks the younger CGI Arnold's butt!!! You gotta love it when they keep these guys out of "The Expendables" and give us more "Rambo," "Rocky/Creed," and HOPEFULLY "Terminator 6"! This "Judgement Day" Steelbook presentation was explosive with 1080P high Def picture and a 6.1 DTS-HD audio.

Epic enhancement for an Epic Film!

Terminator 2: Judgement Day is my favorite film of all time. I don't have anything against the film whatsoever. First, we were brought the Ultimate Edition which added a few parts to the film and extended the story. Those scenes should've been left in the movie because every deleted scene makes sense! Then the Extreme DVD was brought in, giving us the Ultimate Edition in a better audio and visual quality. Then came in this Blu-Ray edition steelbook that catched my eye. This is by far my second favorite edition the first being the Extreme DVD. I absolutely adore the quality of this Blu-Ray edition. The only complaint is the sound. Some of the sounds don't bump my subwoofers as hard like the Ultimate or Extreme editions. When a T-800 smashes a skull, it doesn't bump hard. But other than that you will be able to see and hear everything clearly with this edition. This is a perfect item for collector's. I have 14 copies of this film and I will be buying another copy soon.

    Undoubtedly the Best Terminator Movie

James Cameron's Terminator 2 is one of the best action movies ever made. Not only does it blow its gritty predecessor out of the water, but it adds a lot more heart and non-stop action to boot. Everyone in this movie is utterly fantastic. Arnold is bigger and badder than ever, Linda Hamilton gives a simultaneously traumatized and amazingly tough performance, Robert Patrick is terrifying as the T-1000, and Edward Furlong does fantastic in his first breakout role. Sure, the CGI effects may be horribly outdated by today's standards and is a bit laughable to look at in 4K, but that does not stop this film from being as great as it is. Its story, characters, score, and high-octane action all deserve the 4K treatment and it's great fun to watch this film on my home theater system.

Terminator 2 in 4K is incredible

When I saw the first "Terminator," I was hooked. I thought that it was one of the most fantastic combinations of sci-fi, action and drama I had ever seen. I was reluctant about the sequel at first; I'd already been exposed to insipid sequels to many films that couldn't hold a candle to the original. But then, I saw it, and I have loved it ever since. This sequel to James Cameron's Terminator but watching it in 4k totally totally a different experience I loved it..

This installment of the Terminator franchise is directed by James Cameron. It was possibly the largest in the box office of the franchise. Terminator 2 is about a boy whom teaches a terminator about life and humans. Two terminators battle to the death. This is very clear in its video and audio quality, 4k and hdr. This is an important addition to your video \ cd collection! ! ! ! !

The picture on this is absolutely amazing. The detail on all the actors is amazing. You can see how gritty of a shot film this really was with the amazing clarity of 4K. Additionally the Dolby Atmos sound is absolutely out of this world. Well worth a buy for this iconic movie. My only gripe is it does not include the Kyle Reese deleted scene on the extras Blu Ray disc.

Excellent movie! This review will be more about the quality of the movie than the content. This BD comes with a Digital HD copy through VUDU or Fandango. I set it up with Vudu because it’s easier for me. As for the disc itself, it came exactly as described and shrink wrapped so I knew it was new. I thoroughly inspected the print on the front and back covers. Everything was pristine. I had ordered this same movie from a different source and you could immediately tell by the back cover that someone printed it from their computer and then the disc looked copied. Not in this case. This is definitely a legitimate, remastered BD. The picture and sound quality are excellent. This disc comes with both the Unrated Special Edition and the theatrical version. I prefer the theatrical version but the extended version is just as good in quality...just has some sequences that don’t fit in my head. This movie was state of the art in 1991 and being remastered on Blu-Ray is even better. A must have for any Terminator fan, or even just action fans. FYI, they sell Terminator movies in sets (Anthology or Quadrilogy). Don’t buy those!!! The quality is terrible. I bought both and immediately returned them after trying each disc. The discs worked but the sound and picture quality was terrible. I bought it like that because the price was awesome for 4 movies (Genisys) wasn’t included. Buy them individually. The quality is so much better. You won’t regret it and the prices individually are still very reasonable for BD.

I could not believe the 4K graphics!

    Posted .

This is literally a REAL 4K MOVIE in every way! Gladiator, Patriot, and every other movie that was made in the 90's do not compare or even come close to comparing to the Terminator 2 graphics in 4k HDR. The transfer of the movie from the big screen, to DVD, then from Blu-ray disc was impeccable. To be honest about the graphics, I would put it up against any action movie that would come out today. There was not any static at all throughout the entire movie and all of the pictures were nice and vibrant! I am Just like most of my viewers for being hesitant for purchasing older movies that have been released in 4k due to the static, which makes the movies look like they are on VHS , or DVD. I feel like I have been burnt a few times before with buying 4K HDR movies and I just don't want to waste my money anymore! THANKFULLY, Terminator 2 in 4k is the exception of being an older movie that looks fantastic. I will be bragging for a long time about this movies graphics.

James Cameron's epic masterpiece is one of my all-time favorite sci-fi films. The visual effects from Industrial Light and Magic is marvelous and the film did win Best Visual Effects, Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing at Oscars from the 90's. In addition, the bond between man and machine is one of the most iconic moments in cinema history. The action sequences are memorable from start to finish. The characters are very likable and the messages includes: understanding the consequences of creating unknown technology, possibility of finding hope for the future, and preparing for the worst outcome.

This film manages to surpass the original in every way, and builds upon the universe created in the first. The effects hold up surprisingly well, and the movie makes a good transfer to 4K (though many will argue about a blue tint). If you're hoping for a re-master, it may be best to wait. Otherwise, there's no reason to not own this classic.

Even though “The Terminator” is a heck of a film, this sequel is still one of the greatest films of all time and it may very well be the best action film of all time. Arnold Schwarzenegger returns, but this time his Terminator is a good guy that must protect a young John Connor from Robert Patrick’s T-1000. In addition to another great performance from Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton also turns in a fantastic performance as the battle hardened Sarah Connor from the first first film. I can’t recommend a movie more than I can recommend “Terminator 2: Judgement Day”!

There are mixed reviews on this 4K remaster all over the internet. The reason is that they used a lot of digital smoothing and it effects the faces of the actors in the movie from time to time. The effect that it has in the rest of the movie including the crisp clean backgrounds, special effects, gunfire and explosions makes it all worth it for me. My wife had never seen the movie and when the credits rolled and showed the copyright 1991 she looked at me and said. “I can’t believe that movie is 28 years old”. That’s the best way I can put it. There are plenty of old rerealeses that show their age but this movie looks modern and beautiful.
