This game is amazing! Every level has a theme and is beautiful to look at. The game is split between the classic tetris style and 10 or so modes that add interesting challenges. There are also challenges every weekend. This game will keep you entertained for a long time if you like tetris.

This game is stunning looking, and play very well. Some of the new crazy mode they added definitely spice things up, and the VR mode is pretty amazing. Overall, a visual and sonic trip, and definitely worth the price of admission for anyone that loves rhythm/puzzle games.

Whether or not you play this update on a classic puzzle game in VR, you are guaranteed a good time. The music, the visuals, and the vast selection of game modes more than makes up for what some might seem as a steep cost of entry. Buy it, play it, and have no regrets!

I never thought a Tetris game could make me emotional, but the campaign on this got to me. Somehow the challenging gameplay, combined with the marathon finale, the magnificent music, and surrounding vr experience really got to me. Great game!

This is easily the most difficult Tetris game that I've ever played, however it's also a life-affirming game that is truly beautiful. Sit back, relax, start this game, and let it take you on a journey through its soundtrack & visuals.

As an avid Tetris player, and knowing the creator of REZ and Lumines worked on it, Tetris Effect by itself sold me on the PSVR, and I’m so glad it did. Aside from the “story mode” that will take you through each of the game’s enthralling and immersive visual experiences, there are a plethora of weekly challenges that will keep you coming back to this game on the regular. The soundtrack is killer, sporting tunes that you will most assuredly hear in your sleep and have stuck in your head for days. At the time of this review, Tetris 99 has since released and I’ve been enjoying that quite a bit, but I always find myself going back to Tetris Effect when I just want to relax, zone out, and make blocks disappear for hours on end.

I love this new version of Tetris. Beautiful visuals, entrancing experience, optional VR. I play on a large projection screen and love the presentation. I think it’s one of my favorite in this series.

Without VR, this game is good for a single player Tetris game. With VR though, this game becomes an experience that puts you into a trance of vibrant colors and music. Really great if you have a PSVR!

This update of the classic '80s puzzle game includes entrancing visuals, hypnotic soundtrack and challenging, addictive gameplay. It's especially immersive experienced with PSVR.

Very beautiful levels to this game. My favorite version of Tetris. VR makes this an astounding game. Music and graphics are very immersive.

Tetris Effect is an incredibly immersive experience (especially in VR). Wonderful puzzle gameplay synced perfectly to an outstanding soundtrack. Mesmerizing!

What can I really say. It's tetris in VR. The effects are great and fun, If you need a game to fluff up your game library and like tetris. Give this a go

I do not have VR so I can't comment on that mode but the normal gameplay is fun. The story is short but the custom modes are a lot of fun. Very relaxing

It's still the same Tetris game we know and love, but turned up to 11! The sound and graphics in VR really immerse you. It's a must buy.

I am 42 years old and I absolutely love this new TETRIS game! With the VR headsets this game is not only enjoyable but relaxing as well. The graphics are unbelievable you can’t help but to wonder off and look at the scenery then play the game LOL. But for some reason when my nephew has his friend over some of them cannot play it. They find it difficult and hard I cannot match to make a line. I don’t understand it’s not that hard. These are 14-year-old kids. Well this 42-year-old loves and would highly recommend this game back get ready for a head spin.

My wife told me she was a fan of Tetris growing up, so instead of going the oldschool route and purchasing the old version on the switch I saw this little gem for the PS4. She's been hooked on it since. The visual effects on this game our soothing and annoying at the same time. The music is pretty catchy too you'll throw in a 5-10 min work out before you realize it. We recommend this to all the Tetris fans out there for sure. It's VR compatible too which is next on our list.

This is tetris at its finest. Excellent gameplay and graphics. The sound and music is amazing. The VR mode is icing on the cake.

Before you read this review let me just start by professing that if you are expecting something completely different or new in gameplay, then you are going to be sorely disapppointed. This game is more of an artistic immersion both in visual and auditory. It focuses on gameplay first and tantalizes the visual and auditory senses second. It is beautiful and captivating and it is hard not to lose oneself in the world created in Tetris Effect. This game was truly meant to be played and enjoyed on PSVR.

It's kind of funny that we have a game about creating an experience, that created an experience that's distracting to the game play. Pieces move and vibrate, and the screen flickers an a ridiculously distracting way. I thought this would be minimized around the game board but it wasn't. The board is too small to see on regular mode, sure it looks great in VR mode, but sucks on big screen, too much wasted screen real estate. Journey mode can be fun, if you get past the distractions, and the music is great at times as well. There is always the classic Tetris play to pull you in though. Would still recommend, but with many caveats.
