An okay title, but not my cup of tea

Alliance Alive is an interesting game. The combat is fun to a point, but leveling up is random and based upon which attacks you use. So you never feel like combat is *useless* because it's the only way to gain new skills, but there are also countless battles that go by wherein you gain nothing. It's certainly an odd dilemma.
Visual-wise, Alliance Alive has a nice look to it. The chibi models don't lose their charm on the 3DS' screens. Music never stood out to me much, sans one song that was included on the launch edition CD (titled 'Penguin').
I didn't get very far in the game, but did put six hours in. I can see where people may enjoy it, but the combat being what it was just didn't work for me. It may work for you, but I'd suggest watching some footage first just to make certain you know what you're getting into.

A relaxing RPG

This is probably the most relaxing, mellow RPG I've ever had the pleasure of playing. The soundtrack consists of many soothing piano tracks, traveling across the world map takes a little bit of time, but the journey is enjoyable thanks to many little secrets scattered throughout the world. The plot and characters are interesting, and none of them get irritating. Some people might not like the randomness of gaining new skills and attacks, but I enjoyed it because it kept me fighting stronger and stronger enemies to see what I could accomplish. Overall, this a very "chill" game.

Great gameplay mechanics and engaging story. I'm not a huge fan of the art style though and the lack of 3D was a bit disappointing

Great JRPG

Im not great at reviews but I had to try for this game. The best part of this game is the storytelling. Any JRPG fan will appreciate it. Think back to the great ol days of JRPG storytelling, if you miss those days then buy this game. You'll love it. It takes place in a world split into different realms after a Human vs. Daemon war 1,000 years ago. You'll lead a group that eventually equals 9 on a journey to free the world from the control of "Daemons." The battle system is reminiscent of the romancing SaGa series. If you are a fan of the SaGa series from Square Enix then buy this game.
This might be one of the last great 3DS games. Definitely one of the last great JRPG'S on 3DS. I collect this stuff so I got 2. I wanted to keep one sealed for my collection. I'd give this game a 9.5 out of 10 just because I'd love to see what it could be with a bigger budget. I definitely recommend this game.

My wife has been playing this game for months due to the depth. Interesting combat and progression system where you level up weapons as well as character. It encourages you to try different combinations of weapons and characters. It also makes it very replayable. Great story too with voice acting. Highly Recommend!

I love 3DS RPG's because they are so easy to play, any time you need a break (short or long) just shut the screen and you will hold all your progress...which comes in handy with this game! The story and game play are great and this is one you will not want to put down!

When I saw this game get announced I was interested in getting my hands on it. The team behind it previously made the game called Legend of Legacy and while the art style of that one was slightly off-putting and the game was serviceable it didn't quite scratch that JRPG itch that I had but after going back to the drawing board and taking fan feedback from that game they released a solid JRPG experience that blows there previous title out of the water so pick this game up and join the alliance and go on an epic journey.

Maybe it's not for everyone but those interested in classic turn based JRPG's will be right at home. The successor to Legend of Legacy this title improves on many of the flaws while keeping the classic styles of JRPG's past.

FuRyu to feedback from The Legend of Legacy to make an even better RPG for the 3DS. Gameplay tweaks to the battle system and an actual story makes this game a great buy.

It’s a much more engaging JRPG with improved combat and great characters compared to its predecessor, Legend of Legacy. The launch edition comes with nice bonuses, too.

It’s a good addition to your library if you’re a fan of Atlus games but doesn’t do anything groundbreaking in terms of rpg games since there’s many more out there that are just like it or better. It’s still worth playing though if you haven’t already.I personally enjoyed this title but it isn’t for everyone. It caters to a specific audience who seeks a turn-based combat rpg game that tells a story as you go.

The 3ds is littered with good jrpgs. While not as good as bravely default, alliance alive is definitely a fun 25 hour diversion. This was a case where side content is more fun than the story, and there were way more party members than needed and I used the same five characters for most of the game. The cut scenes also started irritating me towards the end and I started skipping.

The Alliance Alive is essentially a sequel to The Legend of Legacy, even if it features a brand new world and set of characters. It clearly has a very similar visual style, and the turn-based combat system shares many of the same components as its predecessor. However, it's plain to see FuRyu heard the reception of their previous title and wanted to address it where they could.

Alliance alive released during the later stages of the 3ds, in the shadows of the switch release. But that does not mean its not a great game, it’s a sleeper gem that nobody talks about. But i ended up really enjoying this game. If you’re looking for a nice jrpg to keep your 3ds going then look no further than Alliance Alive.

A great addition to the 3DS' already great library of RPGs. It was cool there was a theme to accompany the release of the game (and music track used for the theme was a great choice). Compared to its predecessor (Legend of Legacy), it improves on a lot of things

I was very excited about this game, but it didn't live up to my expectation. I enjoyed it a lot, but it didn't hold me. As soon as the next game came out I put this game down before beating it. It is a turn based JRPG that I hope to one day beat when I have the time.
