My favorite Marilyn Monroe film is 'Some like it Hot.' Researching the film I found the director Billy Wilder has quite a film resume. This film has been recommended viewing for ages. Finally found it in the bargain bin at Best buy and had to pick it up. Great film with a darkly comedic premise that is still relevant today. Great quality Blu-ray with decent extras. Get it if you find it. Recommend.

Bud Baxter is a struggling clerk in a huge New York insurance company. He's discovered a quick way to climb the corporate ladder - by lending out his apartment to the executives as a place to take their mistresses. He often has to deal with the aftermath of their visits and one night he's left with a major problem to solve. Great comedic romance. Don't miss it.

Billy Wilder may be known for his comedies, and Jack Lemon certainly brings the funny, but today, with the #MeToo movement underway, I found my recent watch of The Apartment to more serious than before. Apparently, the Academy did too as it won Best Picture in 1961. You'll come for the funny, but be blown away how relevant it is for today's world.

I never knew ‘The Apartment’ even existed until I ran across it on Beat Buy website. At the price, I thought I’d check it out. Great film from yesteryear. The picture is crystal clear; I would have purchased it long ago if I had known it would have been so good. Recommend

This is an older black and white movie from 1960. The story has held up really well, I think. It won an Oscar for Best Picture. Jack Lemmon and Shirley MaClaine are excellent! The black and white transfer to Blu-ray is crisp and clear.

This film is not only a classic with great performances by the cast, it is also a time travel to the good old days of suit and ties and getting away with sexual harassment at work. I love this film!

There is a reason The Apartment is included in the American Film Institute's Top 100 List. It's a great movie and the Blu Ray provides a crystal clear transfer.

I bought this movie to go along with the new Blue Ray Player that I purchased for my Grandparents for Christmas. It was a great movie that all three of us could enjoy!

Did you know this movie won the Academy Award for Best Picture? It is a well deserved award. Both the trio's acting performance and story line are great.

Even though this black and white movie is from 1960, the story has held up amazingly well. The transfer is crystal clear and the sound is excellent.

Jack Lemon & Shirley MacLaine - they had great comedy timing & played well off each other. Though a little dated today, it is still a fun movie. A keeper!

This is one of my favorite jack Lemmon films and one of Wilder's best IMO. Glad I upgraded to blu ray from my old dvd- much better picture quality.

This Billy Wilder classic is often considered one of the best Studio Hollywood films ever! 10/10 from me. $5.99, was a must for me!

A great movie from the '60's, it was a lot of fun to see Lemmon and McClane at the height of their careers. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite movies of all times I can watch it over and over. Finding it on Blu-ray at such a great price made my day.

A Billy Wilder classic. Satire holds up after 50 years, Fred MacMurray as a rotten scoundrel, looks great om blu!

The downside to loving these old movies is that often they are not mastered well to take advantage of the newer storage formats and higher resolutions. This one looks like it was handled with care.
