The story was of interest had lots of action which is important . The design of the costumes where excellent.The location was as if they where really back in that time.The action parts looked so real as if they where really hitting and killing one another.When you see a movie of this culture you can really ask yourself about your own ideas and culture. Would I have the strength to stand by my culture as much as they did in the movie. i may say yes but who really knows until they are faced with that kind of situation and problem.Anyway I just like the action movies.

I picked up this Blu Ray on a whim because it was on sale on BB site for $5. Great production, beautiful sets, grandiose scenes. The only problem is if you don't know your Three Kingdoms history (Chinese history) you will find yourself lost immediately as I was. Unfortunately I read the history afterwards and that is when the plot made sense.

Chow Yun Fat brings a certain gravitas to his roles, whether lighter fare like Bulletproof Monk or more serious roles like this one, and he's a very skilled and likeable actor. I'm sure some (or a lot) of the cultural context is lost on me, but I found it worth jumping in for this one. Very entertaining.

Nice story, I thought it was related to Red Cliff since there is a chaaracter in both fims with the same name, Cao Cao. Red Cliff is one of my favorites!

A must have if you love chinese/japanese epic movies.

If you are a fan of Martial Arts Movies you will like this one. Jet Li one of the best martial artists of the last two decades carries this movie. I bought it just because he was in it. Jet Li never dissappoints.

Assassins it was pretty good I like to watch in sub title's ot getthe eemotion of the Chinese language. The story was long and a little confusing . But I like this type of move. I will watch it again .

The movie was ok at building a story but then drops story elements or some times randomly does flashback scenes that ruin the flow and pacing.

Big fan of the sweeping historical epic, and this one really delivers. Great sets, battles and detail. Recommended.

While I love Chow Yun-fat as an actor and have since buying bootlegs were the only way to see his stuff, this movie is a travesty. It's slow and boring and after watching it you want a bath. It starts out like it may well be pretty good then slows to a dead stop in about ten minutes. I was pretty disappointed whit this one.

The Assassins is a movie about Cao Cao. More like a small sliver in his life. I don't know if this is a true story but it was entertaining at least. The cinematography and acting is excellent. If this is a true story then the plot is more than excellent. Just knowing that I can't tell whether it's a true story is a nod to the director. I am a little biased because I love anything Romance of the three kingdoms related.

Love this time of history. Haven't finished the movie yet, but it is good so faf.
