A good performance by Ethan Hawks ! The Black Phone is a good watch!

My sister wanted to see this movie. She liked it. Good movie.

This movie really didn't do anything for me. Kinda weird horror. I didn't necessarily get bored, but not as exciting as I would hope.

This was definitely a one of the more solid horror attempts I've seen recently. Nothing too harsh for a horror flick, like gore or any excessive violence, but it's entertaining and keeps your attention. It certainly has that Stephen King-type vibe to it(it's based on a story by King's son, Joe Hill). It was nice to see Ethan Hawke as the bad guy, too... he did a creepy good job.

An absolutely phenomenal film from start till finish. Very creepy in parts, great atmosphere throughout the entire film. Excellent cast with a lot of surprises. Some very well done character development and a solid story all the way through. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I was rooting for the main character. Last but not least a very well done ending.

Not a fan of horror, but this film caught my attention, and so I went and saw it in theatres, I absolutely loved it! It didnt have alot of the cliche Jumpscafes, as those dont do it for me, It was fun, intense, and kept me in the edge if my seat, so of course I bought it when it became available. Great Acting and story.

I was one of the people that really liked this movie. I think there is a generational split here. If you grew up where/when I did, the Nightstalker dictated how I was raised. This film harkens back to that clearly. Not scary but genuinely creepy. The disc itself is good. I wish it was in 4K, but since we can't have that, at least the quality is there. Special features are decent. Some behind the scenes features, but also Scott Derrickson's short film is well worth a look.

I had super high hopes for this film and I was not disappointed. Scott Derrickson did a phenomenal job, he makes you feel like you're actually there with the characters. All the actors including the children actors do an amazing job which is a rarity. If you like gritty, dark thrillers I would highly recommend this movie!

Story picked up quickly and is well written, you were invested in all the characters and what went on with them. I thought that it should’ve been more of an explanation as the horror aspect of the movie was not done properly. Ethan Hawke proves yet again that he is a great actor playing a deranged serial killer all the child actors and actresses were exceptionable and believable. I would recommend this movie and it has a re-watchable quality.

Very well done, best suspense/ thriller in a while. This movie also did a great job at capturing the late 70’s. The acting was top notch by Ethan Hawke and the kids Mason and Madeleine also played their parts well! Highly recommended watching!

Great movie! Only a few jump scares. I was very invested in Finney’s (main male character) development. I actually cried at the end both times I’ve watched it so far haha. I liked that this product included 3 viewing options (DVD, Blu-ray, & digital).

Scott Derrickson you've done it again! After filming what was not only originally made, but also originally DEEMED the scariest horror movie of all time, I knew failure was impossible for him just hate this movie didn't get to be in 4K

Ethan Hawke pulls off this underrated chiller lots of twist & turns !!

Very simple premise, executed well. Ethan Hawke did a great job! A reminder that often the true horrors are those that exist in the real world. More of a dark thriller than a horror film as it taps more into primal fears as opposed to relying on jump scares like so many films today. Has a very retro feel due to the time period it takes place.

A small town where a deranged maniac and sociopath starts targeting young children for his sadistic pleasure. A young boy is able to stand up where others had previously failed putting an end to this terrible threat.

A surprisingly good film. I wasn't expecting very much, but it was engaging and well acted. Recommended. No 4K, but picture on the Bluray was excellent. An average smattering of extras make it a decent purchase.

This is a great horror movie. The performances are all top notch. I'm not sure how accurately this follows Joe Hill's original story but it is definitely a must watch for horror fans.

I loved this movie. It was my favorite horror film of the year. Ethan does a great job, and so does the kid. Grab this film while you can, we need more original movies like this

This movie exceeded expectations. It is one of the better horror films I have seen in a few years. It is not a slayer movie involving a paranormal killer. The basic storyline is plausible, which makes this even creepier. If you like horror films I believe you will definitely like, if not love, this movie.
