This is the movie that turned me into a Found Footage fan. Highly recommend. Great addition to your collection.

The movie that started the found-footage craze still has a few scares up its sleeve. With minimal gore and plenty of atmosphere, The Blair Witch Project is still a solid horror film. It may have lost a bit of its effect, but even after all these years it is still worth a rewatch, proving that sometimes what you can’t see is farmore scary than the alternative. Blu ray picture quality is fine. The whole thing is found footage so there is hardly a jump in quality due to the source. Audio is same. Limited by its source. If you have the DVD already getting the blu-ray might be a bit pointless. But otherwise, at its current uber-cheap price, its worth adding to anyone’s collection.

Not just the best found footage horror film, but my favorite in the overall genre! Never gets old on repeated viewings and still chills me to my spine! And a happy early 25th anniversary to the film as well!

Never saw it when it first came out but took a chance and loved it. Very scary and have watched it several times since I purchased it. Definitely recommended!

The way they made the movie made it seem believable...and ending left you wondering...what or who..was in the basement...chills!!

Wanted to watch a scary movie and gound this in the bargain bin. For what I paid it wasn't bad. But the movie was slow and intetest started to wane. If you haven't seen it, its worth watching.

The Blair Witch Project created quite a buzz upon its release in the '90s and has maintained a fairly positive reputation within the horror community ever since. Although Cannibal Holocaust is typically viewed as an earlier example of the "found footage" subgenre (one that I don't actually care for, save for these two films), The Blair Witch Project is certainly the one that opened up that Pandora's box, for better or worse. Anyway, I like how it's clearly modern in its approach (the whole thing is like a home video) but very much also inspired by classic horror in its "less is more" approach. Highly recommended to horror films old and new.

If you haven't seen this movie and enjoy scary movies you definitely should check it out (don't waste your time with the second movie). This movie freaked tons of people out when it first released and for good reason. The home movie style filming made it seem real. The acting is pretty decent and the overall story is good. Even better, you can usually find this movie on blu-ray for pretty cheap! It's not the best scary movie ever made, but it is still worth watching.

Ok. I had been eating to see this movie for years since I am originally from Maryland but I only wanted to watch it on Blu Ray. Once it went on sale I purchased immediately as well as the new second Blair Witch. The second one scared me to death. I liked that the second scared more out of me more than the first however.

This movie wasn't the first found-footage style movie, but it was the first mainstream example. The movie is good, although the characters can be quite annoying at times. It definitely is worth a watch if you have not seen it. This edition of the movie came with an Ultraviolet copy, which made it a great value.

If you like the Blair Witch story, this is a no brainer, I just wish that they would have updated/increased the amount of extras on disc, particularly the newer documentaries that have been released. Don't expect it to look much better on bluray, given this is a documentary style film.

The first major hit movie in the found-footage genre. Of course, by now it's been done to death but this movie pioneered the idea, or at least made it explode. A good movie with three people believably descending further and further into horrifying circumstances and occurrences.

One needs to watch this first if you plan to see the new Blair Witch movie. Also, before you watch either this movie or the new movie in theaters make sure to see Curse of the Blair Witch available on this disc before anything! It makes the entire experience that much better.

As the title states it was waaaaaaay better in theater back in the day. Granted watching it again after finding out later it was all fake and filmed with little to no budget with low res cameras. What could they do to make the bluray look any better than DVD.

While most may not find the amateur shakey cam techniques interesting or scary, I will admit that the less you see is what drives the scare factor home here. On such a low budget, I'm surprised that people wouldn't find some interest in this old flick.

I bought this movie for my wife and we watched it together. I remember the only complaint about this movie back when it came out in theatres was the camera work. It's still bad. But if you can get past that then it's really a good movie.

Not much can be said about this movie that hasn’t already been covered. The hype surrounding this one upon release was honestly more interesting than the film itself.

Blair Witch Project is a very effective horror film. The use of "found" footage from student filmmakers along with the absence of any hokey monsters gives you the feeling that the events could have actually happened.

When this movie first came out, the company went out of its way to build a very convincing website saying that this story was based on a true story. As the movie released, the truth starting coming out that it was fictional. The way the movie was made with the "shaky camera style" was new and innovative at the time. It was nice to see some originality from a movie.
