I love the 'BURBS! This movie reminded me so of the screwball comedies of the '60s I loved watching as a kid, especially THE GHOST AND MR. CHICKEN! Hanks, supported by the late Rick Duccoman, Bruce Dern, Corey Feldman, and Carrie Fisher are all great in this story of a quiet cul-de-sac whose tranquil normalcy is thrown for a loop by their new neighbors who move into the creepy old house next door in the dead of the night. Hi-jinks and horrors follow in this very funny film. Check it out!

The BURB's, This is your standard late 80s movie, I really enjoy this movie it falls in line with money pit and other movies like that might not be the best movie but it's definitely worth watching and looks good on this 4K Blu-ray transfer especially on my Sony $300 4K player that does upscaling

I used tobwatcg this movie often as a kid. Watching it now on this bluray, it still holds up. Just as good as it was when I was still picking and eating my boogers.

The Burbs is a great gem. Tom Hanks plays a normal everyday husband who lives in the Burbs. He has a nosey neighbor, a grumpy old man neighbor, a typical rebel teenager,and a gung ho army vet neighbor with an attractive wife. New neighbors just moved in but when did they arrive? What happened to the old neighbors? Why are the new neighbors digging holes late at night in the backyard? Why are they secretive about their garbage? Did they kill the old neighbors. Only in the Burbs. Great dark comedy. A 90s classic.

I remember seeing this movie when I was younger. I always enjoyed so, when it came out on Blu Ray I had to get it!! The colors and sounds are much better then it was years ago (on VHS, DVD). I would definitely recommend it!! It has some pretty funny parts and a really good storyline!! Always pay attention to your neighbors;)

If you love horror comedy or just dark comedy I highly recommend this movie. It's funny, dark (without taking itself too seriously), and the acting is great. I very much enjoyed this movie. The ending is just so great and unexpected. Hanks is perfect in this and Corey Feldman is perfect in this.

This is a slapstick dark comedy about a new family that just moved into the neighborhood with a lot of strange things happening since their arrival. This causes the neighbors, Tom Hanks, Bruce Dern, and Rick Ducommun (who is hilarious) to further investigate on their own on what is really happening in the neighborhood. A great comedy that the whole family can enjoy and watch over and over again. A must have video if you like comedies.

Ordered online and had no issues. Been looking for this movie and they had it online. Didn't realize they had all this stuff with quick delivery. Their is not a best buy around me so they made it easy buy using online. Its the next best thing not having the store

Joe Dante's career leading up to THE 'BURBS is full of excellence: PIRANHA, THE HOWLING & GREMLINS being the highlights. This flick carries over that great blend of horror & comedy without being just plain dumb. The cast is awesome & the price is right for this 80s classic.

This film has a cult following for its art direction and overall fun and witty comedy. This is a wonderful movie that really shows you how a horror comedy can take you to new hights. Its a thrill ride that puts you on the edge of your seat.

This classic was a long time coming to blu-ray and it doesn't disappoint. The movie is worth buying just as is, but the visuals have been cleaned up and the audio redone, making this worlds better than the previous dvd release. A must have for anyone's movie collection.

This is by far one of the most underrated movies in history. The perfect summer to Halloween movie features Tom Hanks and Corey Feldman at there best. The blu ray doesn't offer a lot of extra features, but for the price it is a must for any fan of this cult classic.

We finally get a blu-ray release where in the U.S. ... The UK has had this movie on blu for awhile now, released by Arrow Video in a steelbook case!!! The movie looks great, but the special features are lacking. I am just happy we have finally have it on blu now.

This is one of the greatest movies ever made. I was very happy that a blu-ray was FINALLY made available in the US. I can only hope that one day we get a version similar to the one they have in the U.K. full of commentaries, featurettes, and other special features.

Ray..... RAY!? The Burbs is an instant classic. Passing this up on Blu-Ray is a sincere mistake. The soundtrack alone is amazing. Tom Hanks and crew all give amazing performances, and make sure to watch the alternate ending which is only available in this set!

Tom Hanks at his best and funniest. Lifelong favorite of mine. I laugh like crazy everytime I watch it.

This comedy is one of my favorites. It's similar to the Money Pit (but better), watching Tom Hanks get into trouble step by step & wondering if he will ever get out of it. Great supporting cast & fun just to sit back & watch the show like Corey Haim.

Just mention this movie "The Burbs" to anyone and no doubt they'll flash you a big smile and either start quoting classic lines from the movie or just rave about how funny it is. Tom Hanks is at his best with nonstop humor throughout the whole movie.

Just for a good laugh and a serious ending, watch this movie. With Tom Hanks in it you know it will be a good one. See what happens when a weird family moves into a really nice neighborhood. Good just for laughs or to enjoy around Halloween.

This film is a classic--great performances all around, and a wonderful script. It holds up very well despite its age. The video quality on the disc could certainly have been better, but it's not terrible either. Solid extras, such as the trailer and alternate ending also help this package.
